3 weeks off accutane

Im completely clear, my skin tone improves everyday. no scars no nothing , my oil is back my face is normal oily now. Everything is going back to normal gradually my back is still sort of sensitive from the medicine but i am so happy i dont break out anymore its a miracle.

It seriously took the entire 6 months for me to clear up .. wow i lost hope so many times but its worth it just BE PATIENT

Hi,Ive been on accutane for about 8 weeks now,my acne was nothing much between the agest 17-26 and then at 27 i started to break out alot with the bumps under the skin etc,i was going through a break up and a house move at the time so was highly stressed.so after trying everything i was finally referred to the derm and she started me of with 20mg that was a precription for 6 weeks due to xmas etc,anyway at around the 3-4 week mark i started breaking out quite badly,when i went back for my 2nd app i was hoping she would up my dose but she didnt because my liver results were a little higher (prob because i had a drink at xmas),so im hoping she will up my dose when i go back on 1st feb because i dont feel like its working.my lips were dry at first but even they are no longer dry,i dont have oily skin anymore but my acne is awfull never been worse.The derm said it is normal for this to happen but cant help but feel like its never going to get better,i was so outgoing before now i try not to go out unless its really needed.Did this happen to you?any advice would be appreciated!!

Hey I AM SO SORRY i replied so late!! But if it's any help at all here is my advice. IF YOU ARE BREAKING OUT, you are definitely healing. It will get better in time; accutane is a bipolar drug and it heals you by surfacing all the bumps from the inside out. I know it is an emotional rollercoaster, but you will make it. I was really depressed and introverted throughout accutane too because of my constant breakouts but honestly if you can be the same cheerful, outgoing person through this process and off this process, it just shows how strong of a character you are. Don't let a mere skin condition bring you down, it'll get better in time EVERYTHING always gets better in time. So don't stress about it so much, i recommend cetaphil, a thin layer of neosporin every night, and lots of water. DONT FORGET TO BE HAPPY AND SOCIAL! I wish you the best and I know you will heal just as I did.
