My skin hates me...and how to make mineral foundation.

:| My skin hates me this week. My face was looking wonderful. I guess it's all my fault because I make my own mineral makeup and I tried a new formula with Vanicream as the base for my concealer. I'm guessing my skin doesn't like it, lol!

I have small whiteheads on my chin, around my nose and above my lip. I used a Kaolin mask on my face earlier today and now I'm using a Persa Gel spot treatment. So if I stop using my makeup concoction I will be clear in a couple of days...Hopefully. I traded my vanicream away to my Aunt who has rosacea in return for some perscription strength BP cream. So I think that's a good deal.

Now I'm going to have to order some more minerals and make another batch of concealer...Acne is so epensive! I bet if I didn't have acne I'd have an extra 200 a month. OH! And I have yet another breakout on my shoulder...just one shoulder. How do you explain that? Anyways....

I thought you girls out there might be intersted in how to make organic mineral foundation for ultra sensitive acne prone skin, so here goes...

I buy from a mineral website called Smokey Mountain Minerals.

I will buy Mineral foundation in my fav color and mix it with a non-comedogenic face lotion that I've tested on my face to know It won't cause breakouts. Right now I use "The Healing Seed" face lotion with hemp. The hemp smells a little weedy, but you get used to it and it fades away after a while. Then I just mix the mineral powder foundation with the lotion untill it's a cream. It works really well and the thicker you make it the more it covers. And you can save the mineral powder and use some powder over the foundation you've made to set it.

Just remember to cleanse your face before bed!
