Hi there,I've just started my second run on Dianette (Irish version). I had great skin within about 6 months the first time round but when I switched to Yaz my skin went crazy so now I'm back on Dianette. It's only been a month and I can see and improvement already but I am also using topical Clindamycin. Maybe you should go to your doctor and ask for a topical. They kill and prevent growth of bacteria so with that added to reduced sebaceous gland activity its a full frontal attack! I also use SA, Tea Tree Oil and Witch Hazel together. The SA is in the Neutrogena Oil Free Wash and the other two are in an exfoliator so I rub them together and use them on my face at the same time morning and night. I figure with the cleansing and exfoliating I'm also getting rid of dead skin cells and promoting their quick-drop off rate so that's a third attack on my acne. The Dianette will improve your skin but if you add in the topical you'll prob see results quicker! Don't lose heart - it will work! And plus - it's only acne. As bad as this may sound when I look at some of the other users of this forum who struggle with severe acne it makes me feel blessed to have mild-moderate. Great skin awaits you

Hi there,thanks for your helpful reply, i really appreciate it!Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience switching from dianette to yaz, i have read so many reviews from people saying the same thing. I am going to try and avoid going on yaz after diane...although from what i hear, your skin breaks our like crazy once off diane anyway so im abit scared of that :sthanks for the tips, i might ask my doctor about a topical on my next appoinment as im sure it will help me out even more ohh and i also use the same neutrogena cleanser so ill be sure to try out your regime! This board is such a great place to share stories and get advice, and i definatly know what you mean, i shouldn't complain half as much as i do about my skin because at the end of the day there are others far worse off than what i am!Good luck with your second round of dianette :Dchelsea
