Week 4: Retin-A

Okay, It has definitely been a weird week..

It started off not so good with a major breakout (at least I would call it that). I never actually get regular pimples; I usually only have whiteheads and blackheads. However, this week I broke out with these huge pimples in random places. It all started on Sunday with one big one on my chin. Within a couple of days, that turned into two big one's on my chin, one on my left cheek, one on my right cheek....two along my jawline, and one under my chin (around my neck area). I recently went off of Yaz, so I'm going to blame it on something hormonal. They went away about as quickly as they came up. Within a couple of days, they were pretty much gone. I don't know what in the world happened, but I'm just glad they're gone, and that I haven't gotten any more.

Phew, now that I got that over with. As far as the whiteheads go, they seem to still be doing better. My forehead is consistently clearing. I'm still having problems around my temple area. I'm going to assume that my hair lying around that area does not help, but I really like wearing my hair down, so I'm not sure what to do about that one yet!

I wanted to mention this before, but I thought maybe it would go away with the use of Retin-A. So anyway, It's kinda weird and maybe sort of gross, but it's like I have these flakes that fall off of my skin quite often. Is that normal? It happened before ever using retin-a, and hasn't gotten any better. It's not noticeable to anyone else or anything. It's just when I sweep the back of my hand over my skin, I always have something fall off of my face. I exfoliate every morning, so I don't see why I'm doing this. Unless it's my skins natural way of trying to clear these whiteheads. I dunno, it's just strange.

Overall, my skin is looking good. I could be happy with the way it is now, but I know me, and I know that I probably won't be completely satisfied until all of these annoying whiteheads are gone!

I almost forgot to mention. I'm using clindamycin in the morning now like Beauty B suggested. I like this because I know that I have something on my skin during the day, helping with the process. I've also noticed some major clearing of whiteheads on my forehead.

Well, that's all for now. I'm so tired that I just hope this post made some kind of sense, haha.
