Day 15 on Claravis

Well today is day 15 on Claravis. Two weeks down! I started doing 40 mg every other day on Monday (01/25) and remained at 20 mg on the other days. Month 2 the Derm said I would be on 40 mg every day through the third month and then 60 mg the last three months.

So far I think this hasn't been too bad. The 4 trouble spots which came after starting Claravis are completely healed. I have had about 4 decent sized whiteheads pop up over the last 2 or 3 days. I popped them before showering each day and they just went away in a matter of hours. I know you should not pop but come on, they stay around for ages if you don't and who wants to have these displayed on your face like a Victoria Secret's supermodel on a runway.

My face looks clear right now. Some red spots from old battle scars but nothing too noticable. My skin isn't as dry as the first week but the oil isn't half as bad as it was. Lips are holding up. I use Aquaphor like 5 times a day. Still drinking a lot of water. Hair is dry. I need to use double conditioner and let it stay on longer.

Haven't had a bloody nose since first week. I think Using Ayr saline nose gel really helps. No more headaches. No real side effects except I am itchy on my arms, back and legs. I also noticed a small rash or something on my right wrist and forearm but it went away as fast as it came.

So this is the start of week 3. From my reading of other accutane blogs, this is the possible IB week. I really don't want to see that happen but if an IB is inevitable lets get it done!

Hope everyone else starting accutane is doing as well. Good luck.
