So my skin has been CONSISTENTLY CLEAR for MONTHS!!! I’m so glad. This is a new world for me. Getting 1 or 2 pimples is bad for me and it used to be like having 5 or 6 at a time was normal!! This is my regime now!!! mornings: acne.org face wash cetaphil moisturizer Occasionally the herbalism face scrub from lush (this makes my skin SO SMOOTH and bright!) nights: wash off makeup with acne.org face wash another cleanse with acne.org face wash herbalism lush face scrub occasional tea tree oil face mask from the body shop (I like throwing in a consistent face mask just bc it makes me feel like I’m taking care of my skin. And this one is supposed to be for acne!) BP ALL OVER FACE (I’m so afraid to stop using BP. I definitely use less than before, just enough to put a thin layer on my face but I feel this fights away all my major breakouts) also, another ABSOLUTE KEY REASON my acne has gone away is that I have completely CUT OUT DAIRY from my diet!! I cannot stress this enough. I don’t know why, but I am just extremely sensitive to it! I’ve been cutting out dairy for the past 2 years and I ALWAYS give in from time to time bc I love ice cream/ sweets! And I have experimented with it enough that it’s 100% something that will make me break out. I’ve talked about this in my other posts. Another reason why my skin has stayed clear is bc I no longer have dairy, and when I do give into dairyy skin breaks out within a week or two. This isn’t for everyone!! But just try it if you are desperate. Go a solid month without dairy and see what happens!! (Don’t forget dairy Can sneak your way into food!!! Usually breaded chicken, pastries have dairy and don’t forget that powdered milk is in a lot of stuff! Butter is dairy! Those kinds of things sneak their way into food. So if you are trying it out don’t forget to always check ingredients!) these are all current pics pics of my skin!! (With foundation but there are NO BUMPS)
SO, I've been using acne.org since june 2017. It worked wonders for me. After about 2 months on the regime i had COMPLETELY clear skin for a couple of months. Now i think I've slacked on the regime, i still use BP and for the most part i was fine. but RECENTLY MY SKIN IS STARTING TO BREAK OUT HOW IT USED TO AGAIN. Im getting acne on my forehead which I HAS BEEN COMPLETELY CLEAR SINCE WEEK 2 ON THE REGIME.
Hey y'all! Im back! so i have not updated in a long long while, I'm now on week 11 of the regime and..... I COULD NOT BE MORE HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. My skin is CLEAR. I have not had a pimple in WEEKS. My skin is no longer flaky, i only use about a pea size of bp in the morning and a little more at night time. The regime no longer irritates my skin, nor does the AHA burn me anymore. Im so beyond glad i got on and STICKED WITH this regime. My skin is actually clear, i don't even WANT tower foundation anymore i just use powder. Ill use foundation for special events and my skin looks FLAWLESS.
The only thing that my skin still needs to improve on, and IS improving on is my scars. I can see them lightening but its not 100% gone yet. People have complemented me on my skin which NEVER EVER EVER used to happen before. Im so glad i feel comfortable now just walking around with no makeup on. I started to realize my skin was completely clear in about 2 1/2 months.
ALSO I've cut dairy out of my diet which i think helped me finally get to my 100% clear skin. anytime i eat a big meal with dairy i might wake up with a pimple or two which ISNT BAD, but I'm so addicted to this clear skin thing that I don't mind saying PEACE OUT to cheese.
So beyond happy with the results. IT WAS DEFINELTY TOUGH THE ROAD LEADING UP, but I'm so glad i found this regime and so glad it works for me.
ill update when my scars are gone!!! oh that would be the day....
so the AHA last night did not burn i was so happy. recently i did every other day, half moisturizer half AHA. Last night i didn't know HOW MUCH aha to use, so i put pea sizes on my fingers and only covered my face with an even, thin, layer of AHA. slowly i will work it up and see how much i can handle. Im going to do this every other day. I also started using only a thin, even layer of BP in the MORNING. and full amount at night. I can see my scars fading!!! Im SO HAPPY i stuck with this regime. I actually think that i can wear makeup today and my skin won't look gross!!! i don't want to wear makeup though, at least until i know for a fact my skin is FULLY CLEAR. Idont want to mess up this regime on a good streak. I haven't had a breakout in like a week?? again, only TINY TINY whiteheads but those honestly don't bother me.
Side note, my forehead has been 100% clear since the first week i started this regime. I used to have bumps all over my forehead and i could see it in pictures and i hated it. My face still gets red. i think thats just because I'm really white lol. YAYAY IM HAPPY SO FAR FINGERS CROSSED IT ONLY GETS BETTER!!!
my face has really cleared up. I'm not really getting any breakouts, maybe except one or two whiteheads. but the only problem really now is scars and dryness!! tonight is the first night I'm going to use AHA by itself. I'm so scared pray for me. I've also cut dairy out of my diet, i wonder if thats helping my acne?? idk.
So my face is pretty clear. I'm still getting tiny breakout. They are just tiny whiteheads on my cheeks and clear up within a day or two. My flakiness has gotten MUCH better, i would say i almost have a completely smooth face. Ive been using a little less then half of the AHA every night with moisturizer, HOWEVER i think i need to do it every other night. At first i was able to use the AHA every night and my skin only tingled. I think now since all the dead skin is gone, its just my exfoliated face and the AHA is starting to burn. My face needs time to recover from the exfoliation its too sensitive. But I'm worried if i use it every other day mixed with moisturizer my flakes will come back I can't wait till my face is completely clear so i can use less BP. I just want a smooth face so i can wear makeup again!! i think I'm gonna start using AHA with moisturizer every other day, and then work to using ONLY aha every other day. my face hurts rn. i hope i won't be red tomorrow.
so 100% happy i stayed on the regime. I started being super gentle with my skin and i already see results. Right now i have about 2 pimples anomy face is CLEAR. I can already see my acne scars slightly fading. I also realized how much the AHA has been slowly helping the flakiness. It was almost gone but yesterday i got a sunburn on my face so i skipped AHA so it wouldn't burn, and i woke up to dead skin layered on my face again. Ill start using AHA again tonight though.
Also theres a lot of stress and sadness in my life right now regarding my family and friends. Trying to destress.
So i got over that episode i had where i wanted to quit. Im starting to be super gentle with the steps of the regime, I'm incorporating AHA into my regime but it stings a little still so I'm only using a little less then half AHA and the more moisturizer so my face isn't red in the aam
I broke out from the exfoliation but today my pimples were big, and now at night i can already see them shrinking. I think my acne scars are starting to fade! Ive been using AHA for a little over a week now. I also ran out of cleanser so i ordered the 16 oz of cleanser and moisturizer today.
RN I have AHA on and its stunning so maybe ill use less tomorrow. I want to build up my tolerance to AHA very slowly because I'm not wearing makeup and if it stings then tomorrow i wake up with a red face ughhhh
Heres my current skin routine
MORNING: 2 pumps of cleanser, gently wash for about 20 seconds 1 full fingers length of BP 2 pumps of cetaphil moisturizer ( i use cetaphil so my face isn't yellow in the am) mixed with about 10 drops of jojoba oil. i find that the jojoba oil makes sure i don't flake most of the day, and also it thins out my moisturizer which makes it easier so spread around my face, so less irritation Wait about 1 hour for the moisturizer to sit, massage in the moisturizer a little more every 10-15 minutes or so. i let it sit for 1 hour or as long as possiblebefor using powder.
Ive also started using tiny dabs of concleaer on my really red acne spots. This is making me much more comfortable because i don't feel as ugly, and i don't look caked with a full face of makeup!!
NIGHT: 2pumps of cleanser 1 full fingers length of bP 1 pump acne.org moisturizer, almost half AHA (i might use 3/4 moisturizer and 1/4 AHA tomorrow bc my face stings rn), 10 drops of jojoba
ALSO, little by little i think my flakiness is going away. Maybe its from the AHA? Also when i shower and my face soaks in the water, ill gently gently rub circles on my face and its been taking off some of the dead layers of skin. I did that today. i feel its removing the layers sitting on top and now its making the AHA more effective to prevent new flakes forming. Maybe thats why my AHA burns a little more today?? My skin is baby smooth now on my forehead, nose, chin, and the fronts of my cheeks. like right under my eye area. I still get patchy on my cheeks and jawline. Things are looking up for this regime. Everyone says the first month is the worst. Maybe in these next few weeks ill start seeing real results??
i read even MORE on the regime and read that some people didn't start seeing real results until about 3 months. UGH. I'm just gonna keep going with there regime, the full finger of BP and hope this flakiness goes away. I have noticed my nose and forehead are baby smooth, (my nose used to have gunk around it) its just my cheeks and mouth area that are struggling with the layers of dead skin.
My face is being red again like i got a sunburn, so maybe I'm using too much AHA? Is it better to use the AHA 3 times a week? Or everyday with the moisturizer?
ok. i read up on some acne.org posts and stuff and I'm just gonna go through with the regime. Ugh. i am however going to cut down my BP size by half the amount i use right now to hopefully stop the flaking and dead skin and make my skin smooth again. Im also going to be extra gentle with the moisturizer and still going to be using half AHA and half moisturizer at night. My skin is probably gonna pay for exfoliating today. SOS. Can someone please comment to make me feel better, what do you guys think i should do? words of encouragement?
im so over it. I hate this flaky skin. its so gross. if i scratch my face i literally scrape off LAYERS OF DEAD SKIN. Is this normal?? why is my cleanser not washing away the skin?? I'm STILL breaking out. I hate this. i got so frustrated today that i tried to use a scrub on my face. I almost quit the regime. Should i try lowering my BP? I feel like the first week i was using BP my skin was literally CLEAR and i was only using a pea size.
i think tonight I'm not going to use BP, and only use AHA. So the flakes go away, and then maybe not use bp anymore until my skin is back to normal, and then start the regime again with only a pea size and see if it clears me up.
What do you think i should do?? or should i stick it out and keep using the finger length of bp. I feel like i keep breaking out because i keep scratching my face and i totally regret exfoliating bc i already know I'm gonna break out from it now. ugh. this regime is just getting too difficult and these flakes are gross.
Im just really frustrated right now. Half frustrated with myself, and half frustrated with this regime. I keep doing things that I KNOW i shouldn't, i pop my pimples, i scratch my face, and on week 2 and week 3 i had days that i just had to straw way from the regime and i wasn't 100% strict with it. Now its really messing me up. I keep getting whiteheads, thats my fault and then i pop them and UGH its an endless cycle.
Im frustrated with the regime too because I WANT TO WEAR MAKEUP. and i can't because my face is RED, and FLAKY. My skin is taking so long to adjust and its so frustrating!! My redness really went away the past few days but last night (i know you can't use AHA until one month, but my one month mark is in like 2 days and my fakes are so ugly so i just wanted to start using it, sue me) i used half AHA half moisturizer and my face stung so bad and now i woke up with a red face. MY FLAKES ARENT EVEN GONE THO
I just want my skin to adjust already!!! I'm over all this flaky, red skin and feeling so ugly when i walk out the door. Right now I'm using 1 fingers length of BP. I think I'm going to incorporate AHA into my moisturizer little by little because it doesn't make sense that on my one month mark the AHA magically won't sting. So I'm going to start doing little by little.
QUESTION: Will i forever have to be using 2 pumps of moisturizer on my face???? because thats ridiculous and takes so long to dry.
OK so today marks the last day of my 3rd week. The hardest part of this regime so far was the redness. It was EMBARRASSING, PAINFUL, and i hated it. luckilytoday i noticed the stinging and redness starting to go away!! but now my face is SO FLAKY!! EVERYWHERE!! on my cheeks, around my mouth, on my temples, under my chin, everywhere. I would rather have the flakes then the redness though.
MY FACE IS SO CLEAR. sometimes i can feel some pimples emerging but its probably bc i do straw away from the regime exactly (my fault), and usually they don't emerge into pimples. They just go away. I can't wait for the month mark to be over!! then i can start exfoliating!! i can see my acne scars slightly fading also.
Im so happy to have finally found a product that ACTUALLY WORKS. thanks dan.
ok, my skin is SO irritated, flaky, and RED. This morning i used the cetaphil moisturizer and my face looks like a tomato. It was so embarrassing, almost as bad as the yellow skin.MY FACE IS SO RED. UGH. someone please tell me this is normal. Im having a few breakouts on my cheeks but I'm sure thats because i strayed away form the regime week 2. SOS MY FACE HURTTTSSS!!!
ok, so im gonna keep updating when i feel like it because i usually update at night when I'm waiting for my BP to dry. so, I'm trying to figure out how not to be yellow in the daytime. The acne.org moisturizer is a big NO. it makes me look orange and gross. the cetaphil moisturizer actually moisturizes my skin MORE then the acne.org one, BUT it kinda stings my face in the morning and makes me red!!! I want to find another moisturizer in the am.
never have i ever in my life had an even skin tone without makeup. My nose and cheeks are always red, my under eye circles are purple, my acne scars are bright red. but recently i can see my skin tone becoming even!! its still not perfect, I'm a little pink and my scars are still there, but its getting so much better!! so far the flakiness isn't awful. Its kinda bad, but i think because i started the jojoba oil early and didn't rush into BP too quickly, I'm ok!!
right now i have one tiny tiny pimple on my left cheek, and 3 tiny tiny pimples on my right. (the pimples i felt under my skin emerged). they are small and not bothersome. they emerged but already look like they are drying out and getting smaller. my forehead and chin stay clear and smooth, and today i noticed my pores in my nose way smaller!!!
i think i still have some pimples rn because i havent been consistent with the regime. Im playing around with moisturizers, i skipped yesterday because of the 4th of july, ill put on makeup sometimes, week 2 i washed BP off too early, but for how inconsistent I've been, its still working really good!! obviously I'm working to be consistent but life just gets in the way. This saturday i have an audition, so i won't wear BP in the morning because need to wear makeup and look very nice and presentable.
never has anything worked for me as much as this regime has!! if you have any suggestions for moisturizer let me know!! ttyl
Quick update: tomorrow I'm not going to use BP in the morning because its the fourth of july and I'm going to be hiking and swimming all day. Im scared if i use BP my face will be way to sensitive to the sun. so I'm just using the cleanser and cetsaphil moisturizer, maybe some makeup not sure. Also today i drank 32 ounces of coconut water, hopefully that will help put moisture into my skin!!
Today marks the finish of 2 full weeks on acne.org regime! So far, i like the results. To be fair, the first week i did the regime EXACTLY, then the second weeks i messed up a bit. I wore makeup, i washed my face in the middle of the day, i didn't do 10-12 hours apart etc. This third week I'm going to try to follow the regime exactly again.
IRRITATION STATUS: Almost every morning (not night, idk why) my skin feels super sensitive. It feels like i have a sunburn. That might be because of the cetaphil moisturizer, I'm wearing the acne.org one right now and my skin doesn't feel burnt... I'm going to start wearing the acne.org moisturizer. THE FLAKINESS HAS ARRIVED. On my chin and around my mouth, and on my cheekbones by skin is patchy and flaky. This is only really noticeable if i wear makeup. Im going to try to stop wearing makeup and just let the moisturizer set in. I haven't had much itchiness.
CLARITY STATUS: So, my forehead, nose, left cheek, and chin are all really clear. I had a breakout in the middle of last week but it cleared up fine and my skin is smooth, NO BUMPS AT ALL. As for my right cheek, (this cheek has always been my worse side) i experienced a breakout last week, which then cleared up. This morning however, i can feel about 4-5 pimples underneath my skin. They are sensitive bumps and feel like the are going to turn into pimples. uh oh.
So far I'm happy with the results as my skin has never stayed so clear, its always been really hard to get clear skin. I always have bumps on my forehead, or at least 1-2 pimples on each cheek with other pimples forming and like 1-2 on my chin. My acne scars are still pretty dark. my skin tone is still really red. I CANNOT WAIT TO USE THE AHA I WANT TO EXFOLIATE SO BAD. Can i start the AHA early?? I'm gonna research. also, i think I'm only going to update every week or so now. unless i feel like updating earlier. bye!
Hey y'all So my skin is finally starting to get dry and flake when i put on makeup i look scaley lol everyone keeps thinking i have a sunburn my skin issue incredibly sensitive. i like don't want to smile because it burns. tomorrow i have to bump up bp sos I'm scared!!
PLUS SIDES; MY SKIN IS CLEAR!!! My breakouts cleared up and my skin has no pimples or bumps!! i think rn i just have to keep using BP until my skin gets used to it, stick through the irritation and dryness, and then wait for the 1 month mark to use the AHA. My skin is really red rn and i still have dark acne scaring. I'm hoping my face will stop getting so red, and the aha will be able to fade my scars.
As of rn, I'm happy with the results. I strayed away from the regime ALOT this week, but its still working pretty good. Maybe ill start adding pics soon. anyway, idk if anyone reads these I'm just updating them for anyone who wants to know my experience during this, day by day. Also for myself to see my progress. I started with pretty mild to moderate acne. My skin on day 1 had pimples/ pimples under the skin on my cheeks and chin, and a bunch of bumps on my forehead. My acne would take weeks to actually form and be ready, but right now it seems like the regime really pulled them up to the surface and made them whiteheads and then dried them up. i can't feel any rising to the surface.
My skin cleared up pretty fast, but i still wouldn't say i have completely clear skin. My skin tone is all uneven and red and my scars are still dark and red. I pray for the day i don't have to wear foundation and my skin is even and pretty. ahh, so far I'm happy with the acne.org results. 2 more weeks until the AHA!!
This morning i used the regime, and 1 pump of cetaphil moisturizer and then put makeup on my face. My makeup was slightly patchy and i can see my skin get slightly flaky by the end of the day. I don't really have any irritation with my skin except that it gets sensitive when i put on the moisturizer. Im having a couple of breakouts on my face rn, not sure if thats because of the makeup or my skin is purging.
i do notice that my breakouts are whiteheads that appear quickly, usually my breakouts are always underneath my skin for a long time, and take a few weeks to become an actual whitehead. these whiteheads are appearing in a few days.
my skin isn't very irritated... is that normal? i feel like it should be major flaking and peeling right now.
This morning i did the regime, and i put on one pump of cetaphil moisturizer and my skin BURNED. It was SO sensitive. i thought it was the moisturizer, so i put a little bit of the acne.org moisturizer on my face too but it still burned. Then i waited a few minutes and very carefully put on my makeup. My skin looked a tiny bit patchy, but it was acceptable.
Im not sure if items makeup, or because i messed up yesterday and the day before, but i can see a breakout coming from both sides of my cheeks. they look like a few whiteheads coming to surface. But also, it says a breakout in week 2 is expected...
i notice that my makeup looks better if i apply it a few minutes after the regime, so this will be my routine from now on. MORNING: Gently splash face use cleanser for 10 seconds lightly pat dry wait 5 min use BP (For week 2 I'm still using 1/3 fingers length) wait 5 min 1 pump of cetaphil moisturizer (or ACNE.ORG. Im still experimenting to see which one works better when i wear makeup)
NIGHT: Gently splash face use cleanser for 10 seconds lightly pat dry wait 5 min use BP (For week 2 I'm still using 1/3 fingers length) wait 5 min 2 pumps of acne.org moisturizer and 6 drops of jojoba oil.
also, on days i know i won't wear makeup ( which i will try to do as much as possible) ill either use 2 pumps of cetaphil or ace.org. i find 2 pumps takes too long to dry and makes my makeup disperse and look bad.
ok I'm really messing up. today i had the regime on in the morning and i was going on a date later so i put makeup on and my skin looked so gross. I couldn't handle it so i washed my face with the cleanser and then put a little cetaphil moisturizer on and then makeup and my skin looked great. I messed up and washed my face midday yesterday and today and i can already see some breakouts happening. I need to find a way to make this work. SOS.
Ok, so usually i update at night but i just wanted to update real quick. So its my day 10 morning and i just did the whole regime. i decided to use 1 1/2 pumps of the original moisturizer just because id rather stick with the regime for now until it works and then switch it up. also ill be putting makeup on today so that should cover the yellowness.
my skin is starting to be really sensitive. No flakiness or itchiness really, but when i put on the BP and moisturizer it stings and feels like i have a bad sunburn. touching my face makes it sting a little bit. around my eye i think i got too close with the bp because i have a red mark where the bp is. it stings.
anyway, i just wanted to update that my skin is finally being irritated. I'm kinda happy about that because it makes me feel like the regime is working lol. on the plus side, the left side of my face is CLEAR, the right side has a couple of pimples still but my forehead and chin are clear too witch is crazy!!!! ok, talk to y'all tonight
DAY 9 OK so, i have some confessions... i haven't been following the regime EXACTLY and i hope i didn't ruin the regime for myself. tell me what you think... i usually gently wash my face for about 15 seconds, not 10. I've been popping my whiteheads that are coming to surface :(((( sometimes i scratch my nose a little bit so it exfoliates a bit. (but i almost never get pimples on my nose.)
I'm going to try to be even MORE gentle with my skin and try to follow the regime exactly.
IRRITATION STATUS: My skin felt kinda irritated today. Like i had a slight sunburn on my face. Not unbearable. there isn't really flakiness, more like dead skin that needs to be exfoliated. I think I'm doing a good job of trying to stay extra hydrated and moisturized rn. under my chin can get realllllyy itchy sometimes. my skin is a slight pink all over.
PROGRESS SO FAR: Pretty much 90% of my skin is CLEAR. AGAIN, i still have scars and discoloration, but there are no pimples!! (except for a small breakout around my chin).
UPDATES: SO, this is what happened on my day 9 today... in the morning i did the regime, using 1/3 of BP then i used the cetaphil moisturizer so my skin didn't look yellow and i didn't have to wear makeup. first off, i felt SO greasy. i used so much translucent powder and my face was still greasy. ALSO, THE YELLOW TINT DIDNT GO AWAY. Maybe its because i used jojoba oil with my cetaphil moisturizer????? idk. but i felt so insecure. I went out without makeup anyway and someone asked me if i was sunburnt. I felt so ugly and embarrassed so right when i got home i tried to put some foundation on, only i still have my translucent powder on and the whole thing just looked disgusting. I couldn't take it so i slightly washed my face with 1 pump of the cleanser, put some cetaphil moisturizer on and then put foundation and makeup on. I was trying to be extra soft with my beauty blender and brushes on my face. PROS: I could tell my skin did improve!!! it looked so smooth! CONS: i had to be a bit more rough when removing makeup, and i hope it doesn't affect the regime. I got a face wipe and wet it with some water and just dabbed it all over my skin to soak it, then gently gently wiped off my makeup. then continued the regime as usual.
QUESTION: i think I'm going to use the regime moisturizer and jojoba oil at night, and then the cetaphil (and jojoba?) in the morning and wear makeup in the morning. Do you guys think that will be ok? do you think i should wear the regime moisturizer in the morning too? will the cetaphil one affect the regime? have i already ruined the regime for myself??
i really need clear skin. i really need this regime to work I've tried everything
WEEK 2-MONDAY (Day 8) so, today I'm doing 1/3 BP. I think tonight i accidentally put on too much bp.... i hope thats ok
I wore a light bb cream today, and noticed SLIGHT flakiness around my mouth. i really don't want to wear makeup, but i look weird with the yellow tint!! someone commented and i think ill look into getting the cetaphil moisturizer. Maybe ill wear that in the morning with no makeup, and the acne.org moisturizer at night.
Right now i have the bP on and under my chin is itchyyyyyy. i also started using the jojoba oil in my moisturizer. my breakout around my chin has shrunk and besides that, I've had no breakouts on my face! (knock on wood) i can't wait for this 1st month to be over so i can start using the AHA to go for a smooth, clear complexion that will fade my acne scars. So far, this dryness isn't awful. (KNOCK ON WOOD) hopefully using the jojoba oil early will help me in the long run.
So tomorrow completes my first week! Ive been doing pea size of BP in day and night, I've only noticed some itchiness during the day and flakiness when I'm waiting to put on BP during the regime. i think my skin isn't irritated with the pea size so I'm excited to see how the 1/3 fingers length bp will do.
I haven't been wearing makeup, but i think I'm going to start to because the moisturizer is leaving an uneven, orange tint to my face
RESULTS; so far, my skin has cleared up!! my skin is clear except for a breakout i just got around my chin. its 3 whiteheads that i want to pop so bad. but i didn't my acne scars are still here and the overall look of my face is still uneven discoloring... my bags are dark, my acne scars are red, my nose and cheeks are just red. i feel that one thing that has really helped me, is how gentle I'm trying to be with my skin. I feel like thats really made a difference.
