Quitting The Regimen

Hi.

I'm going to keep this blog entry short and simple.

I can safely say that I'm NEVER going to order/use the acne.org products again (except the jojoba oil I have left).

It was too expensive for me (203$), it was a chore to do and for me it took like at least 1 hour out of the day, the flakiness and redness didn't disappear and most importantly, the regimen left me more uncomfortable with my skin than I was before.

Instead I'm trying to have a healthier lifestyle and love my skin, there are so many other "defects" that my skin could've had and it dosen't. I don't even have a lot of acne (though it got worse now when I'm quitting the regimen). I'm happy with my skin and the acne is going to go away, even if it takes years.

Bye!

Change in Lifestyle!

Hi again!

This is what I've seen/heard people say can help clear acne so far: Drinking water Eating a lot of fruits/vegetables Removing dairy from diet Zinc supplements Exercise
I've also seen a video about a study where people with acne had less vitamin A, D & E, than people without acne. People with severe cases of acne had even less vitamin A, D & E. If this can be applied to the general population then I can see how eating a lot of fruits and vegetables would help clear skin as at least vegetables often have a lot of vitamin A & E. I don't know any vegetables or fruits with vitamin D though.

So my plan is to make some changes in my diet and lifestyle for the coming month of June to see if I get any results

This is the rules I made up that I will try to follow: Drinking at least 2 litres of water everyday Eating 500 g of fruit/vegetables/berries everyday 8h sleep Taking Zinc and Copper supplements Running/walking 1 hour per day (also to get that vitamin D from the sunshine)
If you have a lot of zinc in your body and a small amount of copper it can block out the copper, same thing can happen the other way around, therefore I'm gonna take both zinc and copper supplements. The zinc tablets that I'm gonna take contains 20mg zinc and the copper tablets contains 2mg copper. So the zinc-copper ratio is 10:1. You can look up more about that by searching "zinc coppper ratio" if you want. It's important to take these tablets with a meal as at least the zinc tablets can make you feel very nauseous if taken on an empty stomach (from what I've heard). I've also seen that you should take zinc in the evening, I don't know why, but that's what I'm gonna do. I'm going to take the zinc and copper tablets with the same meal.

I'm not going to remove dairy from my diet. If I don't get any or not satisfying results I may do it later.

And remember I'm NOT a doctor or dietician of any kind, so the things I say here can be horribly wrong but this is what I think.

Bye!

UPDATE - 1,5 months on The Regimen!

Hello again!

It's been about 1,5 months since I started using the regimen with the acne.org products. I've done it everyday, except for 2 days in week 4. After I missed only 2 days of doing the regimen I got a LOT of small little bumps on my forehead, where I haven't had a lot of acne before, so that was a little sad. Some of the small bumps are still there now 2 weeks after, but I can tell they're going away.

So this is the results I got by using the acne.org regimen for 1,5 months: (hopefully you can see the before and after pictures down below)

MY REVIEW:
I'm NOT gonna order the acne.org products again at least not now and probably not in the future. I bought the 16 oz sized bottles of cleanser, BP and moisturizer and the 8 oz jojoba oil and the 6 oz aha+ glycolic acid (I bought the big kit+), so I knew that it was gonna cost some money.
The big kit+ cost 112,73$. That's already a lot of money, but I believed in the regimen so I bought it, then the shipping to my country cost about 42$ and then I had to pay for customs and a bill from my post service that was about 48$, so in total I spent about 203$ on the products, which to me is a LOT.

The products DID help me with my acne. Not as much as I had hoped for, for that price. I was also a little shocked that just missing a just a few days of the regimen can give you such a backlash.
I still have the redness and the flakeiness of the skin, though a little less than week 2-3.
I did like using the jojoba oil on my lips, because it helped me and I usually have very dry lips, but then again I could probably have used coconut oil or olive oil and that would have been a lot cheaper.
I haven't used tha aha+ much becuase I didn't like the way it felt but I might give it another try.
The regimen didn't give me any kind of confidence boost about my skin. In week 2-3 I was a lot more self conscious about my skin because of the redness and the flakeiness.

Right now I'm gonna start using less and less BP (using less and less BP the way you use more and more BP when you start the regimen) so I hopefully can quit when the bottles are empty without breaking out like crazy

I'm going to adjust my diet and start taking some supplements in hope of finding a cheaper way to clear my skin than buying the acne.org products. But more about that in a another blog entry because this one is starting to get really long!

See you guys later!

TL:DR; The acne.org products did help clear my skin somewhat, but are way to expensive for me (the results are not worth the price), so I'm going to try other things to clear my skin, more about that in another blog entry!

Acne.org Products!

Hello again!

Some time ago I decided to order the acne.org products and now I have them. I'm gonna start using them today.

I don't live in the USA so with the shipping and tax and stuff it cost almost double than what you think it will cost

Hopefully I will get some results in a month or so.

Bye!

1 month of using BP

Hi!

I've been using BP for a full month now and I honestly can't see much of a difference. I don't know if I'm gonna order the acne.org products and try them. I was kind of hesitant to use BP in the first place, because I believe the best thing you can do for your skin is just keep it clean and leave it alone and the BP clearly irritates my skin even now after a month. So idk, these 4 weeks hasn't given me more confidence in BP that's for sure.

I'll do an update if I do decide to do anything.

The products I'm using:
Cleanser - Basiderm Oil Control Foam Wash
Benzoyl Peroxide - Basiron 5% AC Wash
Moisturizer - Basiderm Oil Control Daily Moisturizer

Benzoyl Peroxide - Week 4

Hello!

I've started the 4th week now using BP! I still don't see any noticeable results. My BP bottle is going to be empty soon, so I'm probably gonn stop using BP after I've used up all I have or order the acne.org products and try them. Idk

See you later!

Products I'm using:
Cleanser - Basiderm Oil Control Foam Wash
Benzoyl Peroxide - Basiron 5% AC Wash
Moisturizer - Basiderm Oil Control Daily Moisturizer

Benzoyl Peroxide - Week 3

Hi guys!

I'm back and this is gonna be another short entry. I'm starting with week 3 now using BP, but I've yet to see any notable results. I'm using the BP both in the morning and in the evening. The only change in my skin is that it feel a lot drier. I don't know if that's normal or if I'm using to little moisturizer. Hopefully my skin will get better!

These are the products I'm using:
Cleanser - Basiderm Oil Control Foam Wash
Benzoyl Peroxide - Basiron 5% AC Wash
Moisturizer - Basiderm Oil Control Daily Moisturizer

See you next week! Bye!

Benzoyl Peroxide - Week 2

Hello again!

So I have used BP for a week now. I don't see any notable differences in my skin, which I'm fine with considering that it usually takes a month before people see results. I'm gonna start using BP both in the morning and the evening from now one.

These are the products I'm using:
Cleanser - Basiderm Oil Control Foam Wash
Benzoyl Peroxide - Basiron 5% AC Wash
Moisturizer - Basiderm Oil Control Daily Moisturizer

I haven't really changed anything in my lifestyle, except that I'm trying to drink less milk and trying to not touch my face as much.

I'll do an update with pictures when I start seeing notable results.

Peace.

Started using Benzoyl Peroxide today!

Hello again!

So, today I started treating my acne with benzoyl peroxide. The products I'm using are:
Cleanser - Basiderm Oil Control Foam Wash
Benzoyl Peroxide - Basiron 5% AC Wash
Moisturizer - Basiderm Oil Control Daily Moisturizer

The cleanser was already foam when you squeezed it out of the bottle so I didn't really know how much to take, but I did use more than 4 ml.
Then I used the BP-product and it was a little different from the acne.org regiment. Besides having 5% BP instead of 2,5%, it also had to be washed off after 1-5 min, so I waited approx. 5 min and then washed it off.
The moisturizer seemed pretty simple, the only thing is that 4 ml seemed to be a lot, I don't know if I should use less with this moisturizer or if it's supposed to feel like a lot. Also, I haven't used any of the acne.org product so this comparison I'm making is solely based on the regimen video and the instructions.

Lastly, If anyone reading this have used or is using these products I'm using feel free to comment how you used them and what you thought of the results

I'll do an update in a week or two! Bye!

Current Situation

So, this is my current situation.

I don't have any products with benzoyl peroxide and glycolic acid yet, as I found this site today and I didn't know of these ingredients before. I do have a mild cleanser and a moisturizer which I'm going to use 2 times a day. I'll do an update when I have the other products. Until then, see you later!

Hi :)

Hey!

I'm a 19 year-old male and had problems with light/moderate acne on my cheeks and blackheads on my nose for maybe 2-3 years and I've never really done anything about it. Today I was watching a video of a girl that had acne problems and she followed "The Regimen" and had the acne.org products and her skin got much better. So, I have decided to try and do something about my acne, because it has been bothering me, especially the very many blackheads I've always had on my nose so if anyone have some tips in the "blackheads-on-nose area" feel free to share As I don't live in the USA, ordering the products is kind of expensive, so I won't be doing that. I will of course follow "The Regimen", but with other products available in my country. I believe that following the steps in "The Regimen", regardless of what products you use, as long as you use Benzoyl Peroxide and Glycolic Acid and don't use products with harming ingredients, is the most important part. So follow me as I try to get clearer skin That's all, bye bye!

TL;DR: 19 year-old male, light/moderate acne and blackheads, gonna try to get rid of them using "The Regimen", but not the acne.org products. Bye!
