Hi everyone, I wanted to give a final update to anyone reading this blog. My skin is basically 100% clear! The clindamycin and differin worked amazingly. I am so happy! I was lucky and really did see clear skin after around 8 weeks. So to anyone wondering if they should start differin/clindamycin i would highly recommend it. My forehead is completely clear! Hoping to see the same results on my chin in a few more weeks! My face is clear enough right now that I feel comfortable not wearing makeup. My chin has been extremely dry the past week though which I don't mind too much.
Everything's looking good except one side of my chin is breaking out terribly! It looks so bad. It's purging very bad only on one side of my chin. Luckily, I think this is going to be the worst of it (hopefully)! Just gotta get through a couple more weeks I hope. The pimples on my forehead are very minimal. Cheeks are clear but they haven't ever caused me too much trouble. This damn chin though.. I'm going on Week 4 so i'm almost halfway through the "purge" period. Just gotta stick with it.
It's day 15 on my Clindamycin/ Adapalene regimine and the initial breakout has not been bad at all. Honestly, not much different than what my skin looked like before I started this treatment. I hope it's working. I stopped taking the doxycycline because I didn't feel like it was necessary. I just can't wait to start seeing results! Hoping the initial breakout stays this mild.
Today is day four of my mild acne treatment using Clindamycin Phospahate lotion 1% and Adapalene gel .1%. I will be using these products along with 100mg Doxycycline twice a day.
