Day 2

Little update. Used pea size amount of the retin-a micro last night. Waited half an hour after I washed my face (I heard thats crucial) even though i REALLY just wanted to get in bed and go to sleep. I should've waited another half hour to put my DML lotion on my face but I was just too tired and went to bed. Woke up and no noticeable difference just like yesterday. No redness, dryness, flakiness and unfortunately again the same acne as I went to bed with. Late morning I am noticing some slight itchiness. Could be from not moisturizing on top? I am kind of hoping this is a sign it's starting to work though as I was starting to think I was rubbing a placebo on my face due to no effects of any kind good or bed. Fingers crossed.

Day 1

Hi everyone! I am writing this blog as a personal log for myself to see the progress I am making but if anyone gains any benefit from reading this too then I'm glad! I have been using Dan's regimen for probably 2-3 years now and I've had incredible results. (Every time I skip a couple days I'm reminded of this). I still have about 2 pimples on my face at any given time though and my face is constantly pink even after using the regimen for years. My pores are very large and my skin texture is rough. I have lines on my forehead and slight wrinkles around my eyes already at 24! I think the benzoyl peroxide has dried my skin out a lot resulting in these premature lines. This has left me desiring more. Dan's regimen has been awesome in keeping me clear but now I am getting spoiled and I need more! I heard Retin-A helps with acne, fine lines, skin texture, and even makes pores appear smaller. I went to my dermatologist last week and asked for retin-A micro. It took my pharmacy days to find it and without insurance it costs a whopping $550!! Luckily I was able to get it under my insurance for $10. I stopped Dan's regimen about a week ago in preparation to switching to the Retin-A which I heard can be very harsh on your skin. This resulted in a breakout like I haven't seen in awhile (exactly why everyone should try the regimen to get clear skin!) Last night I washed my face..waited 30 min....put a pea size amount of Retin-A over my face making sure to avoid my eye area and mouth...then half an hour later I put on DML lotion over the top. I woke up this morning with absolutely no sign I put anything on my face the night before. No redness, no stinging and of course (unfortunately) the same pimples that I went to bed with. I'll be updating this periodically to see if anything happens. I have heard horror stories about acne getting MUCH worse before it gets better. We'll see!
