Holistic/estroblock Approach

Continuing my first blog (My Severe Acne Journey)... I am currently 25 and about a month ago, I started to break out AGAIN on my chin, jawline and mouth area. What the heck?!?! I have been on ACCUTANE TWICE and am still suffering from acne??!!? What is this all about? I finally realized that it HAS to be something that is going on internally, so I FINALLY decided to take the holistic approach to curing my acne... and I am SO glad that I did! First off, I started eating WHOLE FOODS and cut out all dairy, sugar and drank tons of water and green tea. I truly believe that your diet has an impact on your skin and although, this holistic diet did not clear my skin up 100%, it did help. Thus, I knew there was something even more going on internally.. So, I started to research some of the top vitamins and supplements online that helps clear up acne. This is when I came across Tracy and "The Love Vitamin" website. Please, whoever is suffering from acne GO CHECK THIS WEBSITE OUT! Especially those who have tried every topical, medication, therapy, etc. to try and cure their acne. I was checking out Tracy's website and watching her YouTube videos online and from her recommendations, decided to buy Estroblock (a hormone balancer). If you do not know what Estroblock is, please google it and check out it's reviews on amazon. People who suffer from acne seem to have AMAZING results with it, including me. I started taking Estroblock about 3 weeks ago and I am not even kidding, my acne on my chin, jawline and mouth area has cleared up immensely. I currently have 2 small pimples (one on my chin and one above my lip), but that is NOTHING compared to 3 weeks ago. Estroblock is also all natural, so it does take time for your body to absorb the supplement thus, you have to be very patient. Even though I have only been taking Estroblock for 3 weeks, I can DEFINITELY see a difference. I swear it's like an ACNE MIRACLE!!!!!!! I cannot wait to see the results a few months from now! PLEASE, anyone who is currently suffering from acne and cannot kick this skin issue, check out Estroblock!!! Especially, if you suffer from hormonal acne. I am also taking some other vitamin's that potentially could have helped clear my skin, but I honestly believe that it is Estroblock that has been the biggest help with clearing my acne. Why? Because I have read SO MANY reviews on how it has helped people clear their acne. I am currently taking: 1 multi-vitamin capsule ONCE a day (I have taken this for years and not only to help my skin, but to help my overall health) 1 probiotic capsule TWICE a day 1 Estroblock capsule TWICE a day 1 Cod Liver Oil capsule TWICE a day I am also still using my topical medication from my dermatologist (clindamycin and tretinion .025%) whenever I have minor breakouts. I only do this because I have so much acne scarring, that I am afraid to completely stop something that has been working for me for the past couple of years. If I didn't already have a ton of acne scarring, I probably would just up and quit the topicals. So, this is my acne story. If anyone has any questions at all, please feel free to comment on here or write me a message. I understand how hard and depressing it is to deal with acne and acne scarring. I feel for all of you that are currently dealing with this skin issue. Keep your head up. Know you are beautiful inside and out and believe that you and strong enough to get through it. "This too shall pass.." I will be praying for you all! Xo Melissa I would also like to add, that I completely cut out dairy about a year ago and it definitely made a difference in my skin and I would have less minor breakouts. Although, I recently started eating dairy here and there and so I began to think that perhaps, that was one of the reasons that I started to break out again... since I was eating quite a bit of it.... :/

My Severe Acne Journey

Hi Y'all. I am someone who has suffered with severe cystic acne for years. I know how frustrating, depressing and embarrassing it can be to deal with acne and scarring, so I just wanted to start a blog that talks about the medication and treatments that I have tried and how they have worked for me. This blog is for anyone out there who has struggled or who is currently struggling with acne and acne scarring and what finally helped my skin get to the point where I am about 90% clear now. My acne started as mild-moderate when I was about 12 years old. Since then, I have been on every topical AND oral medication that you can think of. I was put on birth control to help my acne at the age of 15 but unfortunately, it did not make a significant difference in my acne. When I turned 17 years old, I started getting severe cystic acne on my cheeks and that is when my dermatologist decided to put me on ACCUTANE. Boy, was that an experience. Thankfully, I was able to take the whole 7 month course. During that time I did suffer from chapped lips (not too bad, but I definitely always had to keep lip balm on them). It took a WHOLE 3 MONTHS, for my acne to finally clear up. I literally stayed inside for my ENTIRE summer of my junior year (high school) because I was on Accutane and my initial breakout was SOOOOO bad!!! I have never been that depressed/embarrassed in my entire life. Thankfully during that time, I had a great support system and a very loving boyfriend that stuck by my side even when I felt like I looked like the most ugliest person in the world. Boy oh boy, did I have to work on my patience at that time. Finally after the 3rd month, my face was about 80% clear. My cystic acne was SOOOOOOO bad on my cheeks, that the rest of my face was 100% clear after the 3rd month, but my acne on my cheeks was still VERY bumping and still healing. It wasn't until about the end of the 4 month that I had completely clear skin. Jumping ahead to the 7th month (DONE with Accutane), I was left with HORRIBLE scarring on my cheeks and some on my forehead, but at that time, I was just SO happy that I could touch my face and just feel complete SMOOTHNESS, I didn't really care about the scarring at that point. Eventually however, the scarring did start to bother me. I couldn't believe that I had to deal with acne and now I was having to deal with horrific scarring. I felt ugly... but, I knew I would MUCH RATHER have a clear face with scars, then a face full of acne..... Now, this is where I start to get SO frustrated. When I went to the dermatologist for my last check up after completely my 1st course of Accutane, my derm immediately put me on minocycline (an oral antibiotic for acne). What?! I was so confused. I literally just got off of Accutane (my face was completely 100% clear) and this derm was trying to put me on another medication?! Since I was so young and at that time, I believed whatever the derm was saying was the right decision and I thought that I should just listen to him and that he knew what he was talking about. So, for 4 years after that, I took 2 minocycline pills every day and my face stayed clear. Well, one day I noticed that I was starting to break out on my chin and around my mouth area. Oh no, I thought... I was becoming immune to the antibiotic that was subsiding my acne. I was nervous and devastated that my acne was coming back... I was 22 and did not want to have to deal with this whole acne issue again. At this time, I was living in another city (Portland, OR) and decided to check out a new dermatologist. I did some research and found some good reviews on a dermatologist. I made an appointment and told her that I just wanted to do another course of Accutane. I had so much scarring already from my 1st course and the initial breakout, I DID NOT want more scarring and I knew if I would try all these different topical medications that she suggested, that I would just break out more and be left with more acne scarring and perhaps, my acne would never really get any better. So, she agreed (after looking at my acne history) and put me on Accutane (after a month of course, because of the pregnancy and blood tests that have to be done before women can take the medication). So, I was now starting my 2nd course of Accutane. I was so scared that I was going to have a horrific initial break out and I wouldn't be able to hide inside, since I was now in living in Portland by myself, going to school and working. Well, THANKFULLY my initial breakout only lasted 1 week and it never occurred on my cheeks like the first time, I only broke out around my chin and mouth area. It did leave a few scares, but I was SO thankful that I did not break out like the very first time... because the first time left a BUNCH of scarring! I ended up taking the full 7 month course and stayed clear for about 3 months post-Accutane and then ended up getting VERY SMALL breakouts here and there. That didn't bother THAT much, but I wanted to be cautious, so I went to the dermatologist. She ended up prescribing me the topical clindamycin for the morning and tretinoin .025% at night. This did help my minor breakouts after a few weeks, since the breakouts were VERY minor... (I feel like this blog is extremely long, so to see where I am at now and what I am currently doing to help my acne, check out my Holistic/Estroblock Approach for Acne blog).
