I love how I can scan over my blog entries and see all these times where a product was working and then evidently failed. *Sigh*
Anyway, I finally got to see the dermatologist I wanted to see. And after a $150 appointment I have a brand new, reasonably affordable, skin regimen.
So first off, this dermo is uber cool. She is like a skin alchemist or something. She doesn't just prescribe stuff, she combines things and makes her own compounds according to everyone's individual skin issues. This gives me hope. I have no idea what is in my little vial of topical ointment, but it was made for me personally and I like that. Not really much point in me recommending it to anyone, as it is so specialized.
She also put me on some oral medication to help with the much-feared cystic acne I get on my T-zone. It's called Trimethoprim and I will be taking it once a day.
And lastly she gave me (well, I paid for) a bottle of cleanser that she said would be mild but helpful.
I guess I don't have much to say, I'm really just marking the start of my journey (once again).
I'm going to post some pictures of my skin so that everyone can see where I'm coming from.
Clearly I made zero attempt to appear even moderately attractive. Yeah... I don't go out like this.
