Day 1 -7

Ok so even though I've only been on this for 1 week I have definitely noticed the good and bad effects: Firstly I've been put on 30mg per day as I weigh 63kg Day 1-3 were good no noticeable effects at all Day 4-5 - the side effects started including dry skin, especially after showering and my lips started getting dry Day 6-7 Everything was just getting drier, including itch scalp and on day 7 random nose bleeds However aside from this I have had one spot all week on my cheek, so things are looking good very very good Hopefully, i will be one of the lucky ones to avoid this 'inital breakout' but I'm sure ill find out over the next week as the drug kicks in properly I must say though because of the dryness my skin looks really tired so will need to find a good moisturizer...

Why I Need It...

I've finally at age 20 decided to take a risk and sort my mild/moderate acne out once and for all. My history is that I've had acne almost continuously since the age of 16 with it at its worst about 17 or 18. However it has just carried on with no improvement after it had calmed down from moderate levels. Basically as with most people who start this drug I have tried everything int the book to limited success . This has ranged from topicals such as cleansers, BP and epiduo to antibiotics such as Tetracycline, Doxycline and Lymecycline. I've also tried to avoid dairy as it breaks me out badly around my jawline but is so hard to do as it tastes sooooo good. Anyway I need to clear up mainly because my confidence has gone to pieces over the past couple of years and would love to live my life without having to worry about this crap in the future. So are after 5 months attempting to get accutane through the NHS I finally started the drug 7 days ago and will update on how its going !
