Week 5

Morning Regimen: Wash face with Cetaphil Foam Cleanser, apply Clindamycin Phosphate Gel, moisturize, and take Minocycline orally. Night Regimen: Exfoliate with St. Ives Apricot scrub, apply Tretinoin cream, moisturize, and take Minocycline orally. So I've been on the Tretinoin cream my doctor prescribed me with for 5 weeks now, and honestly, I don't know what to say. These first five weeks have sucked. During weeks 1 and 2, my face was SO irritated and red and peeling and just gross. Then week 3 came around and everything started to calm down and clear up. Then I broke out in week 4, and I'm still having problems. I haven't gone through the purge that so many people warn about, but then again, I haven't seen much results either. Some days I will wake up and my skin will look like it's cleared up, but then it looks like crap again the next day. It's so frustrating. I've read that you don't truly start to see results until around weeks 6-12, which is the main reason I'm going to be consistent and patient with the Tretinion. It's also because I've tried everything out there, and nothing seems to work. I'm sick of trying out product after product only to be disappointed, so I might as well stick with the tretinoin. I really hope this will work Any of you have any success with Tretinoin, or Retin-A?
