Acne+Lemon Juice= Wonders!

So, I have tried taking lemon juice to help clear my skin. That's half a lemon every morning, squeezed into a cup with some water. Many people swore that lemon juice does wonders to the skin so I decided to give it a go. Some people take lemon juice by itself, others mix it with water or soda water. I have also applied lemon juice to my skin. All, I can say is wow! Lemon juice is my skin's best friend now. I am clear! I still get the occasional pimple from time to time but, the lemon juice sorts it out. If you have tried expensive products and your acne is still outa control, then I suggest you try lemons. Cause you know what they say, when life gives you lemons make lemonade (or an acne blaster). Good luck

Testing Lemon Juice On Acne... (Results)

(Results) Hey! So I've tried the lemon and I have to say it hasn't really gotten rid of my acne. My pimples haven't vanished but, the lemon has reduced the redness. I could easily conceal my pimples this morning and it just looked like lumps. I will try lemon juice for a week, drinking it and applying it tropically and see what happens. I'll get back to you guys later. Most people say that they had to dilute their lemon juice as it stung and had a burning sensation on their skin but, the lemon juice on my skin didn't really sting at all. (Yesterdays post) I woke up this morning feeling frustrated and angry. I looked into the mirror to see a face with new pimples. I'm just so fed up with my acne. I can't wait for the days when I can sleep with no bp all over my face. I've been doing a bit of reading and researching today, and found that many people have cured their acne by lemons! So I have decided that I shall try and apply lemon tropically to my acne areas (my nose, forehead and cheeks) after I wash my face and then when the lemon juice has dried onto my skin I will put my benzac ac over the areas. Wish me luck and I will post the overnight results tomorrow!

Update Of How My Acne Is Going...

Sorry I haven't been updating my results so far. Just been really busy! So yesterday I bought dove's gentle exfoliating facial cleanser and tried it when I arrived back home. I can say that it leaves your skin soft and smooth and doesn't irritate or dry my acne prone skin. I am going to incorporate it into my regime My face has cleared up although, I still have a few pimples here or there. The benzac ac 5% has really improved my skin and has prevented new pimples to appear. So what is your acne regime or what helps you reduce your acne??

Day 2: My Version Of Dan's Regime

Heey everyone, This is officially day 2 of my experiment. I can definitely say that it is working! The size and redness of my three huge pimples has decreased during yesterday and last night. Red dots and marks that I think were pimples that were about to appear on my nose have disappeared throughout yesterday. By applying my version of dan's bp, benzac ac 5% and leaving it on through the day has prevented new pimples to form. I even wore a little bit of concealer yesterday with benzac ac 5% and it has not irritated any of my acne but, has reduced the redness. I think it is because of the benzac ac 5% formula. It contains acrylates copolymer which absorbs any bad oils and dirt from the skin and as it absorbs it releases glycerin which helps the skin to not be irritated and red. Advice to everyone out there, prevention is the key to live without acne. Dan's regime does work and any acne products such as benzac ac 5% in the place of dan's bp works. It's just the way you apply acne products to your skin that can change results. I will be reporting back tomorrow with more news! Goodluck!

Day 1: Using Dan's Regime With Other Products

Heey everyone! This is day one of my new acne routine using dan's regime but, I am using benzac ac 5%, cetaphil oily skin cleanser and tea tree oil moisturizer. I simply follow dan's regime but, substitute the above products into it. I have moderate acne with the occasional 3-4 big zits. I normally have clear skin for two weeks then I breakout and then the whole acne cycle starts again! I'm going to experiment with dan's regime with a few tweaks. For me, I find if I prevent pimples from occuring then I can have clear skin as I usually have clear skin for one or two whole weeks. Diet is not the cause of my acne as I have a balanced diet of fruit and vegies. I think with this experiment of this acne routine, I can prove that my acne is caused by my hormones/menstrual cycle. My routine from now on is exactly like dan's regime but, substituting benzac ac 5% in the place or bp, cetaphil oily skin cleanser in the place of dan's cleanser and tea tree oil moisturizer in the place of dan's moisturizer. I am going to apply benzac ac 5% all over my face (as it is a gel and therefore, can be applied to the whole face at once) in the morning for my whole day. This can dry out the pimples I already have and prevent the pimples that I will have. When I am at home, I am going to apply benzac ac 5% as a spot treatment to my acne. It's just simply putting the benzac ac 5% onto a cotton tip and letting the gel sit there on the zits and the zit can absorb the treatment as it goes. My acne regime before was just moisturizing in the morning with no bp and applying make-up. Then when I get back home from my day, I would use my benzac ac 5% as a spot treatment and let it sit overnight and wash it off in the morning. With my new regime, the benzac ac will get to be on my skin for longer therefore, more time for my acne to disappear. Wish me luck!! Here I go on my next step of eliminating my acne for good!!! emerald42
