Yasmin Day One

I've been struggling with acne for about six years now. I tried every listed topical (Differin, Retin-A, Benzaclin, etc) and every oral medication (Doxycycline, Tetracycline, and Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo) but nothing worked or I had an allergic reaction to it. I refused to go on Accutane because I do not trust it. Then three years ago, I found a MIRACLE REGIMEN: -75mg Spironolactone/day -500mg Amoxicillin 2x/day -Wash face with purpose soap morning and night -Aczone in the morning to help with redness and decrease oil production -Epiduo at night It was amazing how clear my skin was. Only a pimple every once in awhile. But nothing stays perfect. While on spironolactone, I don't get my period. My gynecologist and dermatologist were not ok with this so they had me go back on the Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo last summer in addition to my regimen. Except I stopped the Epiduo because it was summer and I didn't want to get burnt on my face since it makes your skin sensitive to the sun. I had a miserable summer. I became depressed because my skin broke out terribly-painful cysts that left deep scars. I went off it after two months because I couldn't bare it. It took awhile for my body to flush out the hormones, but it eventually did and I went up to 100mg spironolactone a day and my skin once again improved. I still had scars, but am undergoing laser treatment this summer to get rid of them. Things were looking up. I didn't even have to wear makeup out in public anymore! But then everything changed again. My gynecologist wanted me back on birth control so I could get my period and she thought that stopping the Epiduo might have been the reason why I broke out so bad. So I agreed to give the Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo another shot. Worst decision. After a little more than a week, I've broken out all over and gotten two huge cysts. One of them I had to get injected today in order for it to heal. She urged me to stick with it, but I can't. I stopped taking the OTCLo yesterday, and now and switching to Yasmin. I'm going to document my experience on it so here it goes. Day One.
