yesterday and today, i've had a lot (more than usual) on my mind, so not feeling my best. nonetheless, i had two cups of green tea each day. I developed some small acne clusters under my ears. why these are the most annoying, i swear. also, i have mild bacne, and throughout this entire experiment, it has not subsided. i guess i'm just being a poopy diaper.
6:45pm--had two cups of green tea, and feel okay. I have a bit of a headache now but i think it's b/c of my bun! noactive acne, but skin is just really greasy! Although, according to some articles, this could be more related to stress. I don't feel more stressed because I swictehd from coffee to tea--but I do feel stressed by plenty of other things. each time i've taken a "stress test" in a class, i tend to score in the high #s.
11:36pm--3 cups of green tea today, and I feel like me skin looks exactly the same! I've been good about not having coffee. Tomorrow's supposed to be warm in these parts, and I always crave an iced coffee for about 5 minutes, but then the craving goes away. I feel like I'm rambling on; I'm tired.
Day 14--had one cup of green tea but that didn't seem to cut it in terms of my alertness. I was feeling under the weather because of allergies and congestion. Skin is looking okay, though I've noticed when I'm sick, my skin tends to look better ironically! Day 15--9:20am, had one cup of green tea so far, though it looks like it's gonna be a long day!... :/
Oh goodness. My allergies have been acting up, and my plan to log an entry at night has backfired since I've been quite drowsy. Nontheless, yesterday, Day 12, went well. I drank two cups of green tea in the morning, and felt good throughout the day. Again, allergies kicked in at night, so didn't sleep too well. My skin has pretty much been the same. I have actually been thinking about my scars more--but not as much as I used to when I was in my early 20s. They used to be constantly at the
4pm--I meant to log another entry last night, but before I knew it, it was today! Drank one cup of green tea yesterday; another today. I feel alright for the most part Skin is okay. No new breakouts. The cluster underneath my right ear is gone. BUT, my skin has that weird shiny--reflector look. I've been moisturizing after washing now, so maybe just the way it should look!
7:30pm--earlier today, without even realizing what i was doing--i had a few sips of coffee! Oh no! It was small amount, but still. It's as if the past 8 days never happened. lol Nonetheless, I had a cup of green tea today and feel quite sleepy. I still have that little acne cluster underneath my right ear--which is annoying. :/
2pm--Feeling okay and alert (my priority) with the green tea alone, but now I have a small eruption of little zits underneath my right ear. I HATE when they get in this area! It's very easy to scar there. I did put some benzol peroxide in that area this morning. As as FYI, I should have shared my face-washing routine earlier. Morning and night I wash with Clean and Clear, and put benzol peroxide in certain areas. I am hoping to begin Dan's regimen this summer, because: 1. my mind will be re
5:35pm--Well, I have to say that I am really impressed by green tea, even though 1 green tea bag, according to Ehow.com has less caffeine than a cup of coffee. I haven't had that lingering headache that I had the first couple of days. It's too soon to tell what affect this has on my skin, hence the point of this blog... The active acne patch I had on my left cheek is dried out. But now, I can feel a little chin acne emerging!
11:15am--had one cup of green tea. saving my second cup for later... i've not been consistent with moisturizer, so I started to regularly put some on--really just a CVS SPF label. It doesn't leave my face greasy, only a little dewy! aside form some dry skin patches, no new breakouts!
4:37pm--had three cups of green tea. goodness. that stuff is addictive. but interestingly,i do not get all jittery as I do with coffee. skin looks the same. a little drier but i think that has to do with the warmer weather we've been getting. Special thanks to those who completed my poll! It's still up, so please do take if you have yet to
1:05pm---drank three cups of green tea (OMG). I have a slight headache but it's bearable. My skin looks the way it did when I began this experiment! I should have bought that Dunkin Donuts iced coffee on the way in to work. j/k
8:20am--was tempted to get a dunkin donuts iced coffee, but headed straight to work to have my green tea. Yesterday, I ate a ton of junkfood (I was stressed), and I thought my face and thighs were going to pay for it. Though I seriously felt a couple of punds heavier today, my skin is clearing up. Who knew: Junior Mints and Ruger's vanilla wafers. j/k I have been thinking a lot of the motivations that bring us here to Acne.org, so be on the lookout for a poll!... 3:55pm-- Check out my
6:33pm--Actually today was a rough day! I can't entirely attribute it to not having coffee. I had a bit of a headache and nausea after drinking green team at work in the AM. Skin is looking and feeling the same!
9am--Drinking green tea always makes me feel weird! I feel like there is more caffeine in there or something. I will try to post pics of my skin throughout this experiement... 6:20pm--It's actually gone okay today!I did not have a coffee craving, but I am feeling sleepy and need to work on a paper, so will have my 2nd cup of green tea today... My skin doesn't feel any different. I have these three little zits that popped up on my left cheek a couple of days ago. They're still there of
I will be starting a one month experiment whereby I will drink green tea whenever I get a coffee urge. Of course, I could not be doing this at the worst possible time (very busy at work and at school), but a part of me has always believed in mind over matter. I used to drink a lot of coffee during my undergraduate days (2-3 generous cups a day), and now I've cut back to 1-2 normal cups per day. Friends have been telling me that cutting back or omitting coffee altogether may drastically imp
