Well, my skin is broken out. It's even worse then before I started this regimen. I'm really upset, because it's not clearing up! About two weeks in my skin broke out a little bit, but was cleared up within two days. It's been a few days, and if anything, it's gotten worse. This may be part of the purging process; all the oil comes to the surface, then is cleared. I can only hope that's what it is! I started gym about... one or two weeks ago? That may also be causing my skin to break out. But the problem is, I don't have any time to wash my face after gym! D: D:
I have decided to stop wearing all make-up except eye make-up (eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, etc.) No concealer, definitely no foundation, no blush, MAYBE a little oil-absorbing powder, but that's it.
Okay, my regimen is working GREAT! Almost ALL my blackheads are gone, and all I have are a few blemishes to clear up on my forehead and I think one on my nose? It hasn't popped out from under the skin, so I hope it goes a way before it becomes a full-blown zit!
Anyways, I am sooo happy with this new regimen.
I AM DROPPING THE MOISTURIZER.
I haven't used the moiturizer for the past few days, and my skin hasn't started peeling! And I even used the mask on one of those two days! I am SO pleased!(:
I would recommend this regimen to ANYONE! It works so well! & I still need your guys' oppinion on the natural face mask! Should I use it? I wrote all about it in another entry- PLEASE READ IT AND COMMENT WITH YOUR OPPINIONS! Thank you!<3
I copied my entry and then wrote a new one (so the 2 week update would be the latest entry) but I copied something else without even thinking and totally got rid of that entry! I feel so stupid, because it was a really good entry! Next time I will paste it on a word document so I can copy other things and still have it!
Anyways, it's 2:32 A.M., I'm wayy too tired, & I still have math hw to do. Tomorrow I am going over to my aunts house because we are going to Chicago Friday & we are coming back late Saturday. Then Sunday I have homework overload, and Monday it's going to be too late to write a 2 week update. So sorry! But here's basically what the other entry (that got deleted) said:
I may add a natural mask to my regimen. Instead of using the sulfur mask Sundays and Wednesdays, I would use the sulfur mask, then skip a day, then use the natural mask, then skip a day. then use the sulfur, then skip a day, then use the natural mask, then skip a day, etc. etc. What do you guys think? Do you that would over work my skin? Please tell me in comments on this entry! I really need your guys' oppinions. Thank you!
What mask I would be using:
•1 banana, preferably ripe (you can keep ripe bananas in the freezer. Let it thaw before using)
•1 tbsp honey
•An orange or a lemon
Mix the banana and honey together.
Add a few drops of juice from an orange or a lemon.
Apply to face for 15 minutes before rinsing with a cool washcloth or a steaming warm washcloth.
What I am going to do is write a review for each product in my regimen and for a few products I have used in the past. I am going to write them on the actually product reviews part of this site (if you know what I'm trying to say) and then copy and paste them on my blog.
Cool, huh? <3
Please don't think horribly of this product because of my review. I am just being honest.
Mary Kay Velocity Face Wash
Regimen I was using with this product:
All I did was wash my face with this face wash every single night and then put on Neutrogena Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 topical acne cream (2% salicylic acid, I will write the review for this product later). Honestly, it didn't do anthing. If anything, my acne got WORSE. Also, it made my skin dry out (although that probably was the topical ointment) and my skin wasn't even that smooth! I really did not enjoy this product and I would not recommend it to anyone. But looking at the reviews you guys have given it on this website, it may not be that bad. It just may not work well on my skin. Who knows? It may even be your favorite & most efffective face wash you have ever used!
How long did I use this product?:
Please comment about your past experiences with any of thes products. If you are using this regimen with me, please comment with your results and how its going for you! I would love to hear from you guys<3
First off, let me explain my problem to you guys. I have acne in the middle of my forehead (mostly blackheads), up in the hairline on the left side of my forehead (I run my hand through my bangs a LOT), and on my nose (zits). I have really sensitive skin so it is hard to find products that don't irritate my skin.
It has been a week since I started this regimen.
I use the face wash once a day every day, and the mask two days a week (Sunday & Wednesday). I'll admit, I did try the mask as a spot treatment on Tuesday, but it didn't really do anything at all. I still used the mask as a full face mask the next day, though. Before I wash my face I wet a wash cloth with warm water and let it sit on my face for 2-3 minutes to open up my pores. I then wash my face, making sure I really rub my face and cleanse thoroughly. I then rinse it off with warm water. On Monday & Tuesday and Thursday - Saturday, I splash my face with chilly water (to close my pores) and then immediately put on the CeraVe moisturizer. I make sure I put on a minimal amount. On Sunday & Wednesday, I wet my face with lukewarm water and apply the mask (remember, this is right after I wash my face. I do not apply the moisturizer until later). I make sure I only put a thin layer on and rub really well to break up all the little blue balls. I leave the mask on for 15 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water. I then splash chilly water on my face and apply a small amount of CeraVe moisutrizer all over my face.
Improvement so far:
There has not been much improvement. I still have the same zits that I had before I started this regimen. I am still going to keep trying, though! I have faith that this will work. I may stop using the moisturozer to see if that will help. I am only using the moisturizer because when I didn't use it my skin started peeling like crazy! It got really bad when I was putting make-up on - the rubbing made it 10x worse!
I can't use benzoyl peroxide because I am allergic to it! If I wasn't, I would be using the regimen!
I wear make-up.
