A day and a half in

Omg my face is on fire, I just put on my BP and it want to wash it off =(.. My face keeps itching and I keep catching myself scratching or almost scratching it. >.< Frustrating, but I'm trying to keep my hands busy so I don't touch my face. I don't like the moisturizer I have, Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion, it's too heavy and greasy. I can't wait until 3 months for now so I can see a difference and think about how silly I was to want to throw out the BP after 3 applications. =( my faaaaceeee

The Beginning

My name is Lyndsey and I have had moderate acne since just before I turned nineteen. I'm twenty-five now...and it's worse than ever. I have a hard time finding products that don't hurt or flake my skin, I have very sensitive skin and everything seems to irritate it. Not to mention make my breakouts worse. So this year I gave up on ever finding a solution and just started washing my face with Dove Sensitive Skin soap. It keeps it clean and doesn't break me out. Every once in awhile I will use Stridex sensitive skin pads. They only make my skin red and I break out in white heads on my forehead and nose when using them. But then last week I was home sick and a Proactive commercial came on. It works for Jenna Fisher?! It has to work for me! So I got on Amazon and was looking at reviews. Some people swear by it. But people who described their skin as sensitive (like mine) said it was a horrible waste of money. All the sudden, Proactive didn't seem like the way to go, no matter what Jenna Fisher says. I instantly got curious, what will work for me.. I can't just accept that this is genetic and give up on finding a solution. I hate to look in the mirror and see someone hidden behind her acne. It's time to really do this and get rid of acne once and for all. Grr. So I started by typing "acne" in my google search...Acne..dot..org?! Hmm. I think I found my solution. I couldn't believe that this dude named Dan did all this, for all of us. Before I even knew how big this was and I just read over the Regimen and thought how weird it was we aren't suppose to scrub the crap out of our faces. I hadn't yet received the acne . org products yet, and already using the Mary Kay Velocity cleanser and moisturizer and a Clean and Clear Salicylic acid spot treatment, but using it the barely touching way..my skin looks better after 4 days. I hadn't seen my mom since last weekend, I saw her this Saturday and she noticed the difference! Of course I'm very exciting to use my new acnedotorg products tonight since they have finally arrived. The section of the site where you can get personalized advice is amazing. I advise that everyone takes that questionnaire, it has a lot of helpful advise. So here are my products I'm going to start with for my regimen: Acne.org Cleanser Acne.org BP Acne.org AHA Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion Also some extras: Vitafusion Calicum 500mg Gummy Vitamins -These taste great plus they have 1000 IU of vitamin D and phosphorus 125 mg I take one in the morning, and one at night, make sure to drink plenty of fluid if you take a calcium supplement. (Calcium can build up in your kidneys) Origin Zinc Gluconate 50 mg -I am breaking these in half and taking one with lunch one with dinner. These were mentioned in my personalized advice to help with red marks and scarring. After talking to my mom (who is a pharm tech) and reading up, Zinc is essential for cell division, and also great for your immune system. Two birds with one stone yay! Poor birds =( I have read good things about aloe vera and lemon juice on the site too I may add those to my regimen down the line. Wish me luck!
