SO yesterday i woke up and my face was normal besides about two little pimples. I went to my friends house and just chilled all day and watched movies and walked around outside. When i got home without even noticing it i had two huge pimples 1 on each side of my eyebrow, the outer part of my face if that makes sense. I had one on my nose, like 7 tiny ones on each side of my jaw line, and my face was dry and flakey more than usual. I will admit i had three glasses of soda yesterday, which is alot for me since i only drink water besides about once or twice a month. So could that be it and it will all just go away sooon? Or do you think this is a late initial breakout? If you've had experience with accutane please let me know. Im on 20mg, and might get a uppered dose in 10 days. I realize ive been more depressed lately and dont wanna be around certain people or I want to hide my face.
P.S. Ill start updating this every ten day's since I'm lazy and not much happens.
Sorry about spelling im tired.
So I haven't updated in awhile because I'm lazy and have been working out daily so I've been busy.
My skin is slightly better I guess, I wouldn't even say I've had a breakout besides a few tiny ones on my forehead. My lips are dry but it's not that bad, nothing a little Aquaphor won't fix. Also I noticed that my nose was getting white and flaky a bit. I know I'm not suppose to but I've been popping some of my pimples. I swear I'm addicted to the feeling of getting puss out of my pores, it's so great!
I'm starting to second guess only being on 20mg,because I read online that teens of 120lbs are on 60mg's usually. So did my derm underestemate? On the plus side I was nominated for best dressed in the whole school, and I'm only a freshmen! I'm super excited on that and it sort of boosted my confidence a bit. Well, I'm going out to meet up with my girlfriend by the lake since Texas finally has some cool weather! Everyone have a fun halloween weekend!
So today was pretty normal! I woke up and had barely no new acne, only a little bump on my jaw line. My eye's are dry as hell though and it feels terrible. I worked out pretty hard today as I usually would and it felt normal! I got to hangout with alot of friends for around 6 hours at the mall and town center and had lots of fun! Also my girlfriend complimented on how my face was looking better which meant alot to me so I'm happy! I'm dreading waking up with alot of cysts or whatnot because everyone say's it comes around day 5 but I'll hope for the best! No new side effects besides slightly dry lips and hella dry eyes! I'll update this tomorrow, everyone enjoy the rest of there Saturday(:
Well, today I woke up and nothing new besides dry eyes and slightly dry lips. Rohto's helped me with my dry eyes though:D. I had increased stiffness in my back and legs too. After school I took a nap like usual and I woke up and took a nice long shower so I'm barely stiff now. My face looks a little better! My mom even said so, which I believe her this time because I saw it for myself! My face is a little dry, but nothing to complain about. I was really happy today and tonight should help me forget about the effects too! My friends are coming over in about 5 minutes to just watch some movies and eat queso. So in conclusion, my 3rd day is good(:
2nd day, and let me tell you this will be a long 5 months. I woke up to a slightly stiff back and legs, and decided to wear sweat pants and a undershirt to school. For me this is unusual because I take pride in dressing nice (jeans, sperry's,polos). I felt a little less motivation than usual at school, and when friends joked saying "your gay" i took it more serious than usual. I noticed my lips were getting dry but nothing to worry about as of now. When I came home i didn't even feel like going to workout which is a daily routine for me, but I skipped today because o my stiffness. I can feel the bad breakout starting I think. So yeah, that sum's it up for day 2!
Well, I went to pick it up today and instead of Accutane I'm using Claravis. I hope it works as well, but I guess I'll try! I'm hoping it will since my acne is very mild now, but yeah! I'm 107 pounds so I'm on 20mg a day for now. Popped the first little brown pill about 15 minutes ago.
Side Effects: Pressure in the back of my head and what seem's to be increased consentration while typing this. Weird about the increased concentration..Well I'm drinking about 7 bottles of water a day so I hope I don't turn into living beef jerky that much during these 5 months.
Well, i woke up feeling terrible and I went on to my doctor and he told me I had a sinus infection! So my Mom called my derm. and told him I was being put on a 5 day antibiotic. My derm. simply said to wait till around saturday to start the Accutane:/
Well, I went in friday too my derm. for the first time ever. I showed him a long list of product's I've tried that haven't worked and ingredients that irritate my skin. BP, Salysilyc Acid, Alcohol, Sulfur and so on. Doxycycline was a waste for two months and all I gained was stomach aches. I told him currently my best results are from a single face wash thats organic. If your interested in the wash, let me know ill tell you the name. It's great for sensitive skin and really does work, it's for teen acne. I told him my acne that day was the best it's been in 8 months, which was true. He said I could take Accutane if I wanted so I jumped at the opportunity. I got my blood drawn that day and if I get it back and alls well than I get to start monday.
Background: I'm 15, a male, and have acne for about 8 months, it hasn't got severe till about 3 months ago. I've tried numerous products as mentioned above and this is my last resort. I realize the side effects and potential harms, I research any product very well before I take any substances/medications. I consider myself very healthy. I only drink water mainly, gatorade maybe twice a week and Soda's only are drank about once a month or on rare occasions. I workout at least 5 times a week, and eat lean meat and veggies! No fast food for me(:. I do smoke on rare occasions, I can't say what I smoke though (against form rules), but it's easy to guess. Rare occasions as in once or twice a month. I have scarring from me popping my white heads, yes I realize it's bad to but I just love the relief of the puss getting out of my skin!
Note: I plan to update this everyday, unless studying get's in the way, school always comes first!(:
