hmmm..... still not so sure about this. I feel like its probably still normal to feel this way at this point, but my acne wasnt soooo bad to begin with so its discouraging that im still not seeing vast improvements like it seems others have. It never covered my face, but i have alwasy had two or more active zits hangin out on my face. Well, its a month in and Im still hoping that everything is going to smooth out here soon. My breakouts definitely last for much less time than before, but they definitely havent stopped. when one goes away, another starts... like clockwork, like taking turns or something. My forehead is completely clear now. It was never bad but would occasionally get one or two big ones theat would linger a while. My chin of course is the worst, as usual. And I still have several tiny closed comedones that I know are just waiting to erupt with incredible timing... as usual. I have a date this weekend so im sure they will want to come out with us. I have been attempting to change my eating habits a bit as well. Stopped caffine everyday, very limited dairy and wheat intake, decreased sugary foods, less green smoking... hahah... so we will see how this goes and if it helps or not. I also have started drinking lemon juice morning and night, and honestly, unless its just timing, i feel like its helping drecrease break out time. I have also started using aha 2 or 3 times a week and this has helped with the flakes and reddness. haha ALSO switched to using everyday minerals, but i need to experiment with colors because the sample im using now makes me a bit too pink hehe. ok update ina week or two fingers crossed!!!!
well.... still having breakouts.... but strange ones. I have been getting small cyst-like zits that are hard and little red, but after a few days, come to a head and go away fairly quickly. Ive been getting them on my cheeks which is unusual, but I am sure I have some closed comedones there as well, and that everything is just purging itself out slowly. My back has cleared tremendously and I have not been getting much new acne there. Really now its my face that is being stubborn. I have been avoiding make up if possible, however its difficult to go without it as I have just started a new relationship and am not so comfortable with him yet. ahhaha
Well, Im not giving up yet. It hasnt gotten any worse, and I think i see improvement coming. Ive also started doing a yogurt mask with honey about 1 or 2 times a week and baking soda washes as well. I think its probably important to do the scrub because of all the flaking from the BP. Jojoba has definetly helped with the dryness, I just dont like how oily it leaves my face... It dries after some time, but its a bit of a pain to wait if i am wearing make up for the day.
ok next week another update
ok so, ive been using dans regimen for 11 days now. I have also gone from taking 50 mg/day of Spiro for one week, and am now taking 100 mg/day.
I havent seen much improvement. The spiro, I imagine, or perhaps a combo of it along with BP and jojoba oil has decreased my oil production immensely. The spiro doesn't make me feel weird or anything either like i have read it does with others.
MAYBE Im having the second week breakout as it says in "what to expect" but im not sure. I have a lot of closed comedones under the skin on my chin, which, when irritated, become inflamed and eventually turn into big nasty white heads. I think what is happening now, is the BP is bringing everything up and one by one or three by three (however those little shits decide to pop out). I am hoping this is the case, and that eventually they will all pop out and go away! haha I do think that the regimen is helping everything heal a bit faster, however, it could also be due to the spiro cutting my oil production. It has lessened the breakouts on my back and chest, but they still flare up every other day or so. Its hard to say at this point if it is working for me. Ok.... I will keep going, and update in a few days.
Ok so last night i began Dans regiminee. However, I think I may have overdone some things. For My previous regimine I had been using a baking soda scrub 2-3 times per week, apple cider toner 2x per day, dove beauty bar (not the one for sensitive skin as I live in spain and cannot find it anywhere!!!) moring and night, and jojoba oil occasionally during the week.
Last night I began the treatment by cleansing my face with dove and baking soda, toning with apple cider vin, and then finished with the treatment and jojoba oil for moisterizer. I hope that I didnt put too much on my face, and will now stop using the vinager and BS Scrub until I see how the BP gel works for me.
This morning I cleansed with dove, followed with the BP Gel and a few drops of Jojoba oil for a bit a moister.
Last night I also began taking 25mg of Spiro 2x per day.
Hopefully i will be able to tell which is helping, the treatment or the spiro. or perhaps both together is the key.
will update with progress and will also be switching face cleansers today if possible.
