Candida Diet and Pasta is real bad for acne

Boiled down to the recipes - toughest part! Yesterday I had pasta, a whole lot! and I've been stressed quite a bit because of college. Hence I broke out! Anti - acne food + Stress = Acne! if only things were so clear to me a couple of months back. I'm starting of my candida diet (like full blown) by Monday. Gotta learn how to cook first ya' know!

Paleo, Anti-Candida, Elimination..which one?

Getting sick sucks! I just recovered from a week long episode of what the doctor terms as 'change in climate' fever. Sudden temperature fluctuation teamed with crap loads of air pollution. I guess that's one major disadvantage of living in a city! Anyways, I noticed something which really made me think about the diet-acne connection. I ate a lot of 'stomach friendly' foods because my stomach got upset after a 4 days antibiotic course. I wasn't allowed to have any doxy. Neither did I

Breakouts!

I broke out 5-6 days back. Pretty bad! I got 4 cysts. I returned to my usual cycle of Doxycycline, which is twice a day and continued my routinely zinc and fish oil. The cysts are not active anymore and three of them have diminshed to half their sizes. but they scar!..dam I'm totally looking into the holistic approach, especially food in-tolerances. In fact, I can actually trace a few steps back to last week, when I had a lot of wheat pasta. Gluten in-tolerance? I'm going to check out

Fish Oil!

So I'm pretty much on Zinc, Fish Oil and Doxycycline. I'm having one Zinc tablet every night, 4 Fish Oil soft-gels everyday (breakfast and lunch) and the ant-biotic, well I'm trying to cut down from 1 tablet every alternate day to 1 tablet every 2 days. I tried cutting down doxycycline for a week, but then the acne springs right back in the form of inflamed red scarring types on my cheeks.. Sometimes I feel, irrespective of everything I have I just get acne, especially on my cheeks,

Less to practically no BP

I'm blogging after I don't know how long. I'm looking into the diet and acne connection. This stuff seems rather promising and a lot of members have received tremendous benefit taking out basic stuff like dairy and gluten. Third day of taking my Zinc supplement and I'm still torn between taking the Fish Oil supplement I bought or not, because I read a mixed bag of reviews. So that would be 1 tablet of Zinc daily and 1 tablet of Doxycycline every alternate day. I know I should not e

absolutely no clue what day this is!

As the entry says, I don't have the slightest clue which day this is.. I'm sticking to the regimen though. AM - just my nose PM- whole face My skin which had a very slight redness before, has completely subsided to normal looking skin, so Im more or less content with that. As far as my oily T zone goes, I'm still bowled over. In my PM regimen, after applying the moisturizer I have to literally wait an extra 10 mins. so I can blot off the moisturizer and possibly sebum off my face. I

Day 8

I got a stye!!... yuck!! Its on the eyelid of my left eye, and its making my eyelid droop down a little.. I can't wear my contacts and I have to wear my glasses now. Its not very visible. I had to take off my glasses to show my parents I got one. Probably my poor handling of my lenses is the cause. My skin is a lot better though, no active break outs touchwood. I still get a few skin colored ones on my forehead which are practically invisible, unless I have someone totally in my fac

Day 6

According to the calendar, this should be day 7... but oh well..lol This evening while doing the regimen, I was literally asking myself as to why I stopped the regimen earlier for my entire face. I don't have any active zits and the BP is gelling in real neat. I still have not mustered up enough courage to post up pictures..lol Apart from the regimen, I'm reading quite a bit about holistic and natural remedies too. The org. definitely has a lot of information, which I would not wan

Day 3

So far so good! No unnecessary flaking or redness because of the BP on my face. I'm still sticking to once a day treatment for this week. Regarding break outs, I guess the BP is still surfacing a lot of culprits who were clandestinely conspiring on showing up unannounced..lol The white-heads which popped up on my forehead have pretty much reduced to skin colored bumps, no biggie there... Somehow I can feel a little irritation on my right cheek.. ..I just hope it does'nt turn out be one

Day 2

Woke up to find: 1)Quite a few white-heads and small eruptions here and there. Looks pretty messy but I'm well acquainted with why this is happening. BP is exposing all my underlying 'junk'. 2) My face is not red or scaling in any way, so thats good. Guess I used enough moisturizer. 3)My nose is the clearest. Funny because, pre-regimen (a year back) my nose was the crux for all the whiteheads..damn! Did not do the regimen this morning on my entire face. Thought I would let m

Day 1

I ought to keep my blog simple. I tend to prattle around a lot..lol Well, I plan on getting back to the Regimen again. Its not that I stopped, I do the regimen on my nose on a daily basis..but I plan on doing the regimen on my entire face once again..sigh It just takes so much time....... But I'm going to stick to it, and I promise myself this time I would be diligent. Enough of all the antibiotics, Im really sick of doxycycline and its side-effects. I'm doing the regimen tonight
