Okay I hate my skin so much right now. It is SO dry. I have gotten 4 spots that hurt lurking beneath my skin. My face is absolutely on FIRE right now. I have no products; I am using a few different brands of BP creams because I have like none left in any of them. Owww this burns really badly, I just used a loooot of BP... the worst is the burning and the dryness! I hope this is just the 'skin gets worse before it gets better' thing. I attacked my face earlier too, I popped just about any slight anything anywhere, making me look 4773847329 times worse. God this sucks sucks sucks sucks sucks.
Hey everyone! Hope everyones acne battle is going well. I can't believe it's only Day 5 for me, I feel like it's been months. Okay so I have 2 major issues: 1) I am getting really dry looking and flaky skin, but I have no jojoba and piling on moisturizer isn't really helping and feels really thick and gross 2) I am running out of BP - I started with 1/2 a bottle of eXposed acne treatment (2.5% BP) and it goes quickly. Can anyone tell me how long it will take for something to arrive in Toronto if I order tomorrow off acne.org? also in the meantime is it safe to use something like olive oil or coconut oil as a substitute for jojoba? Also I made a boo boo today... I was desperately trying to get rid of these unsightly flakes and I used a grainy exfoliating scrub! I know I know think of the irritation! Well now BP stung more than yesterday but it absorbed quicker (probably because my skin is getting soooo dry). Acne continues to surface as pimples... kind of annoying and I can't tell if some are new acne or just coming up from the depths of my face from before. But there are some underground non inflamed white bumps that just won't budge... frustrating. I was looking at pics of my face at the beginning of the regime (which I will post soon, sorry guys!) and I think my skin has more regular pimples and is more red but looks better in some way? I don't know you guys can see for yourself soon enough! Night guys and good luck
Less burning when I applied BP this morning. It also seems to be absorbing faster. I have also noticed the first bit of dry flaky skin. I have remedied this by using additional moisturizer, but I really need to get Dans BP and jojoba oil! I had 3 pustules come to a head (well the third was on the fence) and I was going to not pop them but I decided to anyways because they fit in the guild lines that Dan put up under "Popping Pimples". Hopefully I have made the right decision and this will aid their healing. I think the main difference is before I used to squeeze and aggravate EVERY little anything on my face until I saw results. No wonder I have all these clusters of breakouts... On a side note, I have been injured and not able to play my sport for the past 4 1/2 weeks. I thought it was just a sprain in my back but as it turns out this is all because I am imbalanced muscle wise so I have all these issues and one of my legs is and inch shorter than the other (not from different sized bones, because my pelvis is on a tilt)! So good news is we know the issue. I'm still really nervous to see if treatment works though because I am still experiencing pain Sorry for going on about something unrelated to acne... I guess I could say it's a source of stress contributing to my acne? lol BTW I will post some pics soon!
Okay doing a mini update because I want to know if this happened to anyone else. I have noticed that more pimples are coming to a head/becoming whiteheads. Did this happen for anyone else? I have a lot of noninflammatory acne amongst the regular kind and some seem to be coming to a head.
Okay so no change today really, a new pimple (looks like it's going to be a big one...) is forming on the left side of my jaw. BP stung a little less this morning. I noticed some dryness on the sides of my chin area despite having exfoliated using a scrub this morning. I know your not supposed too but I am anyways because the noninflammatory acne regime says you can use a good scrub. I hope I can order some of Dans BP and AHA soon... Oh I popped that stupid pustule and now I am upset at my lack of discipline.
Skin looks incrementally better, some popped/picked areas are getting less red and scabbing less. One of the under the skin but redish pimples is now a gross pustule... I want to pop it really badly but people online say that they usually go away in 2-4 days and I guess that's a lot faster than like a week for it to scab over, heal and then leave a red mark so I will resist! It is on the side of my face, lower cheek area so it will be easier to resist. I'm running out of Clindents (this is my last package) but i'm getting more soon, they appear to help but I only used them for a few days so I can't really be sure. My face really burned last application of BP but it looks less flaky/dry so that's a good sign. My face looks really pale because I have been avoiding the sun and not using sunless tanning products... doesn't help complexion lol
Hello everyone! My first post will be filling you in on the history of what my skin was, is, and how it came to be. So about a year ago today, my skin was perfect. I would have been 14 then, summer after Grade 9. I didn't have one pimple or imperfection of any kind. In September of that year, I started getting one pimple every now and then, but still had a pretty flawless complexion. Winter of 2009, I probably had about 3 pimples at any given time, which were mainly only flared up because I picked/popped them. February 2010, I had a cluster of bumps on the top left corner of my forehead. Flesh colored under the skin bumps. I picked and poked them all the time in effort to rid these bumps (probably about 20) from the area. March 2010 - I purchase Clinique 3 Step system level 2 but with gel moisturizer. At this point I had forehead bumps, and 2-3 pimples on each cheek. April, continue with Clinique, upset at seemingly no results or change. May, fewer bumps on forehead but same under the skin flesh colored bumps start to develop on cheeks. I get into a really bad picking/popping habit now, I use like 30 Q-tips popping pimples till they bleed and hurt a day. Late May I order eXposed Skincare 6 piece set. Early June - around 15 bumps on forehead, lots of bumps on cheeks, some regular pimples on cheeks and a one inflamed painful under the skin thing on the side of my face. I start eXposed skincare. I pop the big one on the side of my face, ew. Mid- June my skin is looking better ish for a few days and I go to Muskoka with friends, I am confident enough not to wear makeup (and can't cause we swim a lot)! Still have flesh colored bumps everywhere but only 2 red pimples on cheeks. Late June - Skin gets worse and fassst. Cheek gets an under the skin painful inflamed bump which I pop giving my a gross red mark with pimple still underneath. Pimples on cheeks get red but don't come to a head. July - I stop eXposed skincare strictly, I add in Nizoral (been a few uses) and an exfoliating scrub, I still use eXposed BP but I switch moisturizer and cleanser. Early July now there are: lots of flesh under the skin bumps on forehead, one that I picked at is red, there was a painful/inflamed under the skin pimple above my brow that I popped, now it's red and inflamed. Right side of forehead is perfectly clear still (never had pimples/issues). Cheeks have lots of under the skin bumps (like around 40 each), red around some, some whiteheads and small pustules, acne scars and generally disgusting skin. Routine currently is Dans regime but using Neutorgena Grapefruit acne wash, eXposed BP, clinique gel moisturizer, I had some Clindets samples from a derm (about 3 days worth) that I used, and Q2CH PM moisturizer (you can see the current/upcoming regime details in signature). I plan on using this regime, NOT picking/touching/popping any thing on my face ever again after today's massacre :*( Emotionally: Having bad skin is really really upsetting me, especially when it was so nice even a few months ago compared to this.I am really embarrassed and wouldn't be caught DEAD without makeup on right now. I really just want to see some improvement. Please leave comments/suggestions!!!!
