There are officially no pimples on my face!!!!Wooo! So, my face is fantastic right now!About last week, I had a really bad breakout again, but that was to be expected, I was on my period, had just started a new face regime, and was eating a looot of bad food (See: On my period lol). But I just kept on truckin' and now there are no more active pimples! A few red marks, especially around my chin, but they are fading fast :)Now my biggest problem is skin flakiness. Right after the breakout my skin looked like monster skin, all red and peely. I could literally take it off in flakes. Then I went to the closest health food store and picked up some Jojoba & vitamin E oil (I wanted just Jojoba oil but they didn't have any). Now I am putting that on with my moisturizer at night and in the morning. Luckily it doesn't make me to oily - I have fairly dry skin in the first place - and the flakiness is still there, but much more controllable. All in all I am VERY happy with the Regimen so far. This is the first time in almost a year where I can go outside and see people and not want to hide under a rock if I'm not wearing makeup. Hopefully my skin will stay this nice! I want to start using AHA next week, because I am very tempted by perfect skin We shall see how this goes lol.MoS
Eek! Okay so I just got my package from Acne.org in the mail today - I think my entire neighborhood heard me smile (if that makes any sense lol).
So officially, tonight I will start The Regimen.
Well, the Slightly Altered But Hopefully Still Effective Regimen~
One little surprise was that I got two bottles of the Cleanser instead of a bottle of Cleanser and a bottle of Moisturizer. But, it's all good! I had just started using Aveeno Daily Moisturizer, which I reallly like and has been working well the last few weeks, and it has SPF 15 which I desperately need! Sun rays don't like me :/
So, now I have Cleanser for the shower, and for the sink Because honestly, carting it back and forth...sooo much work! Lol, but yes so I have my Cleanser, Dan's BP Gel, and my Aveeno moisturizer, and AHA as well.
I'm also going to be using Tea Tree Oil for some old redmarks... I'm not sure how this will go over with Regimen, I've used TTO before and it makes my skin all 'aglow' and gets rid of the red marks super fast, but it doesn't help the actual pimples AT ALL. But still, I hate redmarks, so they gotta go!
I take some supplements to, not anything heavy duty, Ubiqinol, a huuge immune booster, way better than Cold FX! A multivitamin with lots of Vitamin B, Vitamin D3, and Vitamin C every night.
Oh right - my skin.
Well, my skin kinda has its own cycles. Sometimes it's terrible [Read:Last year this time when I thought using a Clean and Clear Kit would help. I hate Clean and Clear! It killed my face for an entire Winter!] and sometimes it's okay, but never clear.
Although - Truth be told my acne has been getting much better lately. I had a stomach flu, didn't eat for a few days and - bam! Slightly less pimples. But not eating doesn't happen very long with me
So, BP here I come!
I would post some 'before' photo's, but unfortunately - or fortunately, depending on how you look at it - my camera has been stolen. So no yucky face pictures for a few days haha.
So, off I go into the world of clean skin! Wish me luck!
I will be keeping progress of any changes in my skin etc.
Forehead = too many under-the-skin bumps to count.
Cheeks = Clear! The only part of my face that is :/
Nose = Nasty blackheads all on the point.
Chin = Ew, the nasty area, so far 6 big nasty red pimples, 2 or 3 ones that are dying, and lootss of redmarks right around the mouth area.
Jaw = Ugh, another bad area, but easily hidden under my mane of hair - 4 nasties.
General Health of Skin:
Well, it's a little flaky right now, especially by my eyes and chin, but I haven't been taking very good care of it the last week - I'm a bit of a slacker when I'm sick lol. Other than that it's okay, my face seems fairly resilient to scars (which I dearly hope continues), but I have lots of red marks. Usually those fade in a few weeks or so though. Before I had acne I had a really nice complexion, or at least people used to tell me that all the time, and I really hope it's still there under all this mess!
