Some people were wondering about makeup routines and such. Here's what I use and my advice!
Personally I chose Organics, I dont want chemicals touching my skin. I love the feeling of it. So light and not noticeable and fake. Depends how you put it on. Do not put it on thick!
Do's✓ Don't like chemicals? Go organic!
If you dont have enough money for organic you can get a product WITHOUT fragrance and oil free!
For Acne put on a foundation (light) then on the spots apply cover stick that is your skin color! For a cyst use green under your foundation lightly
Take off any eye makeup before bed! Yes mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, glitter... etc
Use an oil free makeup remover for your eyes with a soft and light cotton pad
Wash your face with Cetaphil to remove all makeup. If on Accutane (do not use toner after) Then your cream.
Make sure your lip gloss is properly removed, it can cause breakouts around the mouth.
Don'ts☠Use makeup that looks greasy, fake or not your color! It looks horrible and brings out acne
Use products with oil and fragrances, it only irritates the skin.
Forget to wash your face before bed.
Leave eye makeup on. it will cause breakouts on your cheeks!
Use too much green cover stick! Or any type of foundation
Have lipgloss with harsh chemicals in it! Remember animal testing
Today I just got a call from my dermatologist, she said get off Accutane. I said I already took myself off of it after 4 months and a half. She told me good because my blood test came back and my liver is horrible. So now I have a problem. Ive been drinking tons of water. Ive almost fainted a bunch of times, 1 time I fainted today was in the shower. Luckily I didnt get hurt.
My skin is looking HOT
I love it. Its definatly worth the pain.
While on Accutane, I had a normal routine.
In the morning I would wash my face with Cetaphil and use a light moisturizer called Dormer. Which has sun screen in it too. Its basically 2 in 1. Which I totally loved.
For girls/men that love makeup: Use a light foundation/cover stick that is organic. You dont want any chemicals or products that will irritate the face.
Drink up to 8 cups of water a day. Walk around with a water bottle and put more in when you finish.
I took iron pills, Vitamin C for my health.
For my lips I would use Carmex cherry flavored yes Katy perry loved it haha
And Aquaphor for my nose which would be dry and bleed every once and awhile. Which is very embarrasing out in public.
For my eyes id use eye drops made by Visine Moisturizing drops.
Before bed to get off my makeup I would use Cetaphil again but in a soap bar form.
For a shampoo I used multiple products, including Dove and others I wont name because for other people im sure they wouldnt work. Most people use Head and shoulders.
Im Kiki as u might already have guessed. I have suffered acne since I was in grade 5. I still remember how badly it effected my self-esteem. I would cry looking at myself. I couldnt even look in the mirror at one point unless the lights were off. I was so disapointed with myself.
I changed my eating habits which were always amazing. But I needed more vitamin C. I tried absolutly every cream, moistorizer and face wash I could think of. Clean and Clear did not work for me, maybe for other people though.
Not only does Acne give low self-esteem but it is a target for bullying and such. I have been called in the past: pizza face, mt. vesuvious, constilation face, ugly... etc. I dont think people honestly know how much damage it causes to people, when they are already suffering a great deal. I was beaten up at school, emotionally hurt, and mentally. My friends stopped hanging out with me. At the age of 13 I didnt want to live anymore.
I have had anxiety all my life. Severe. I am easily anxious. Stress is horrible for acne, because its a strong trigger for mine. It turns out mine was not hormonal, in fact it was actually stress. I found this out after blood tests and multiple doctor visits.
In grade 7 my life became wonderful. Elementary school was where the bullying happened. I ended up meeting wonderful people who saw me for what I was. They all said im model material if I didnt have acne. And I hated it. I didnt like any comments about how I look, even if they were flattering.
Grade 10 was the worst year in school but my acne cleared up better. Due to stress and high levels of anxiety in my life. It definitly contributed to my acne. Then I tried Proactiv. The worst thing ever happened. I am allergic to sulfur. I ended up using the Refining mask. When I woke up my face was covered in what looked like cysts! I had to go to school like that. No makeup works to cover it.
Grade 11, a miracle drug called Accutane changed my life. I finished it after 4 and a half months because my skin was never really bad. It was mostly stress, so once I got stress out of my life I was good. My skin is very beautiful and I can look in the mirror and go, Dammmmn girl you look good. haha.
It definatly gave me the confidence to turn the lights up bright, not hide my face with hair or anything else. If you are thinking about going on Accutane. Its a simple answer. DO IT:) Do not let acne ruin your life anymore.
