I found some 2.5% BP that I ordered a while back... It's Clinique's clearing moisturizer. I've been using it the past couple of days, on one side of my face - Just to see if it helps any. It's hard to say just yet, but I may just use it instead of buying something else.
Or I may just test it out this week, take pictures next Monday, & compare them to the last ones I took? We'll see!
Also, I started my period yesterday... Meaning that would be the cause of my massive break-out.
Yesterday my face was breaking out the worst it has in a while... But when I woke up today, I noticed that most of my active pimples seemed to be healing. So I'm thinking if I can make it through the weekend without picking, my face will be looking much better by Monday, when I plan to start the regimen.
In all honesty, I think my face would look a thousand times better if I didn't pick. I don't think my scarring would be as bad, & I don't think I would break out as often, either. I wish I had the will power to stop... I'm definitely going to be working on it.
Over the past few weeks I have been in the process of "starting over". Not only is it a new year, but I have also made some major changes in my life. Within the past couple of years, I have been extremely stressed out, & although I have been suffering from acne since I was about 13, I still feel like all of the stress has taken its toll on my skin. So, with the new year, I am trying to stress less. Also, I just moved a couple of weeks ago, & with the move, I'm hoping for some serious change in my life - The good kind.
With that change, I would really like to have clear skin.
So, this is my story:
Like I said, I have had moderate (severe, at times) acne since I was about 13. I'm 24 now, so I've been dealing with it for over ten years.
& like anyone else who has acne, I have tried just about everything. When I was a senior in high school I started going to the dermatologist, & I was prescribed to Benzaclin. I used it for about a year, & was almost completely clear... But then I moved away from home, stopped going to the derm., & of course... Started breaking out all over again. A few years later, I started using a generic form of Benzaclin, which helped a lot & kept most of my break outs at bay... But then, due to financial reasons, I had to stop using it... & the break outs returned.
So that's where I'm at right now. I could go into detail about all the things I have tried, but there's really no point since none of them worked. I could also blame myself for not being consistent enough, but I'm not sure if that's even the case.
Starting on Monday of next week, I plan on going to the store & buying some Neutrogena On The Spot. I can't really afford to order anything from Dan just yet, but when funds allow, I definitely will. I'm already using Cerave moisturizing cleanser, which seems to work really well for my skin, compared to foaming cleansers. So... I guess I'll just go from there, & update my blog each week with my progress! I haven't decided if I want to make an album just yet.
P.S., this is my third go at the acne.org regimen. Third time's a charm, right?
