Pros:

inexpensive
natural product (ingredients)

Cons:

smell

Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar is the only brand that i use. It is 100% natural Apple Cider Vinegar and contains the 'Mother' which looks like a brown sediment that is in the bottom of the bottle (It contains all of the beneficial nutrients). I pour a few table spoons into a shot glass and down the hatchet. I happen to like the taste of vinegar so it doesn't affect me but most people dislike the taste. I feel healthier inside and out after drinking ACV and it has great health benefits.

Pros:

clearing my skin!
helping with my digestion
easily attainable

Cons:

smell and taste (if you're like me and were struggling with acne, you're not going to mind either of those so-called cons)

I've been having light breakouts on a very regular basis, and for someone who always had clear skin until about 2 years ago, this was a big deal. I did minoclycline (which worked, but I don't like taking antibiotics or much medication in general) and Epiduo. Cleared it up, but once I quit, acne came back. Just recently tried Proactiv. The regular strength tore my face up -- super dry and peeling. The gentle formula just didn't do anything. Don't spend all that $ on it, because it won't work. I recently found Apple Cider Vinegar, and within the 2 days I've been using it, it's dried up the pimples that I had. They're not gone by all means, but are on their way. I'm hoping that after a week of drinking it and applying it topically, I'll be seeing better results than I ever have in the 1.5 months of using Proactiv. Plus this is $7 for a big bottle of Braggs Organic ACV whereas you'll be spending $25+ on Proactiv's so-called miracle products. I had previously been using regular ACV and will now be trying the Organic ACV with the "mother" still in it. I'm mixing 2 tsp of ACV with 1 cup of water and drinking it 3x daily. This seems to be helping me because I feel like it's my hormones that are causing all the problems, and if it can be taken care of naturally, I'm all for it!

Pros:

Softer skin
Reduced size in acne considerably (for both present acne and future breakouts)
Reduced redness

Cons:

Smell, although you overcome it after a few days.

I'm 23 and have been on two courses of accutane, 1 of doxycycline, 1 of monocycline and a few other various forms of both topical and oral medications for acne. Ironically, I have never had severe acne and each medication cleared it up but after a couple months my acne would always return. Now that you understand more of what my acne was like and the lengths I went to cure it you should be able to relate to me if you are in a similar circumstance. I had given ACV a try once before and found no results. After some time I decided to try it again but this time both topically and orally with the right type of ACV (Bragg). After a couple of days my skin improved tremendously so much so that I began to tell my family members that it was the cure for me. In the last few days I have gotten a couple breakouts (nothing bad) but I am under the impression that they may have just being lying dormant before I began ACV. I highly recommend the use of this product. Regimen: Wash face with blackhead scrub. Apply 1:3 ACV with cotton swab to face and let dry. (Morning and night) Ingest ACV twice daily. (Combined total of 4 cap fulls from the bottle.) Short and sweet! Furthermore, combined with my above regimen I take a steady dose of daily vitamins as well as protein/creatine for any of those that might being similarly devoted to going to the gym the vitamins I take are: Fishoil B-complex Orange Triad Multi Glutamine Enzyme Digest (for protein breakdown) All of these are taken throughout the day. Do not take glutamine with protein. It causes putrification.

Be careful with b complex guys because it broke me out like crazy. I didn't even know it was the cause since I realized it's the only new thing on my regimen. I've drank it for 50 days and gave me more than 60 active pimples. :( Anyways. I'm 3 week b complex free and my acne cleared up dramatically. Just dark spots. Be careful!!

Pros:

-Clearer Skin
-Less redness
-Less soreness
-Dries up oily skin
-Reduces pimple size
-(I know this sounds gross) Brings breakouts to the surface
-More energy!
-Lowers overall appetite (eases weight-loss)

Cons:

-Tastes pretty icky (though it can be manageable)
-If taken on an empty stomach, can result in nausea
-Bad for teeth
-Bad for breath!

I've been taking apple cider vinegar for three days now, and my skin has gotten so much clearer already! The overall redness around my acne is down, my acne is drying out, and the swelling around my acne is GONE. My friends at college noticed and commented within 48 hours of me starting ACV treatment. I know that this site really stresses using "organic" ACV with "the mother" still in it. I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say that not only is that more expensive, but it's also completely unnecessary! I'm using price chopper brand, processed ACV and my skin is looking great! What the ACV really does is balance the pH of your skin, which it will do whether or not the product you use is wholly organic. I would recommend this to anyone with stress-related acne (this could be a result of hormone imbalance, which in turn can cause the pH within your skin to fluctuate, especially if you tend to stress-eat). Another upside to this product is that it keeps your appetite in check. If I have ACV to sip on during the day, I'm wayyyy less likely to grab those extra cookies. Finally, a word to anyone who really doesn't like the taste: I love tonic water, and if you mix 8 OZ of tonic water with a tablespoon of ACV, you can't taste the ACV at all. It's really helpful. Also, I've heard wonderful things about the use of ACV pills rather than drinking the liquid. While this is more expensive, it also eliminates the ick-factor for many people. Hope this helps, and I wish all of you luck with ACV!

Pros:

Tastes great (dilluted in water that is)
Clears skin tremendously
Keeps hormonal acne at bay for the most part
Detoxing of skin and body- Feels great after you drink it!!!
-LOVE IT!

Cons:

-Stomach aches if consumed on an empty stomach

Best thing i have used to clear my acne in a long long time! I am however using in combination with Retin A topically. Cut dairy out of diet which helps tremendously along with cutting caffeine down to reduce hormonal break outs and over oiliness of my skin. I have nothing but great things to say about the ACV that Braggs makes. I only buy it organic and will not buy any other brand.. Just make sure not to take it straight for it is back for your stomach and your teeth enamel due to how acidic the drink is. So be careful!

Pros:

I have loss 10lbs
My skin is clearing up from acne
I feel better
I can finally touch myself(not in the wrong way, but If I left my hands on my legs or arms I would end up getting a rash there the next day) without getting a rash
My face redness is going away
and again I just feel actively better!

Cons:

Tast bad but you get over it

my mom and I been drinking 2 table spoons of Apple cider Vinegar in a bottle of water. One in the morning and one at night, drinking with a straw, for it's bad for your teeth.Though it doesn't go to the gym for you. I would suggest the organic ACV and drink a bottle of water after you drink the one with ACV. Three days can break a habit but it takes a month to start one. You'll see results quickly!! But don't let it take over for exercising and eating healthy.

Pros:

Great for you stomach
Makes skin better
Cheap!

Cons:

tastes bad but who cares?

I have been using this for months now. It worked great in the beginning by itself (using topically followed by coconut oil on skin and taking 2 tspns twice a day internally). After a few months it wasn't working and I found I needed to change my diet. I had cancer 5 years ago and stopped Tamoxifen 1 year ago. Almost no wheat and dairy :( and added 8 ozs of pomegranate juice :) to help cut the hormone effect that is definitely my problem. Now the apple cider vinegar is helping with the skin and with the stomach as well (I have dieted like this before and had stomach problems. Not with the ACV now). I use the acv and coconut oil at night and pure aloe in the morning before moisturizing.

Pros:

None

Cons:

bad taste
Inconvenience
heartburn
No change in skin

Tried this for about 3 months. It was recommended by my mom's holistic doctor before I saw a real dermatologist. If you have real acne, ACV is not going to solve anything. I'm doing much better on minocycline and retin-a.
