Lac-Hydrin is a formulation of 12% lactic acid neutralized with ammonium hydroxide, as ammonium lactate with a pH of 4.4-5.4. Lac-Hydrin ® 12% (ammonium lactate) Cream also contains cetyl alcohol, glycerin, glyceryl stearate, laureth-4, light mineral oil, magnesium aluminum silicate, methylcellulose, methyl and propyl parabens, PEG-100 stearate, polyoxyl 40 stearate, propylene glycol and water.

Pros:

- extremely moisturizing
- exfoliates
- AHA & Moisturizer in one
- cheap- clears complexion
- eliminates flakes

Cons:

- sqeeze bottle
- hard to get outside of canada due to 12% lactic acid
- makes face shiny
- may sting/burn when applying if you have sensative skin/cuts
- may cause redness on those with sensative skin
- a bit thick

Bought @ Shopper's Drug Mart Size: 225 ml Pro's Vs. Cons? ------------------------ the pro's mostly outweigh the cons, helps clear acne and complexion due to the lactic acid. AHA + Moisturizer combination clears any flaking. feels greasy when applying, however it drys nicely, yet a tad shiny afterwards. Bottle could be better, such as a pump vs. squeeze. has a slight smell which i dont mind. its relatively cheap for the amount you get! has caused some minor redness for first weak or so while the skin adjusts. texture is a bit thick however add a little water , mix in hands, and its good to go. Final Judgement: im willing to put up with the side effects for clear and flake free skin. I use BP, this aint nothing compared to THAT!
