Pros: IT DOES HELP WITH ACNE Cons: IT MAKES ME EXTREMELY NAUSEOUS EVERY TIME I USE IT. I HAVE TAKEN IT ON A FULL STOMACH AFTER DINNER AND I FEEL AS IF I AM GOING TO THROW UP. IT DID WORK FOR ME BUT I AM NOT GOING TO USE IT BECAUSE IT MAKES ME FEEL VERY SICK. Bottom Line: ITS GOOD, BUT NOT FOR ME. Pros: Skin feels softer and inflamed spots have gotten a lot less red and big. helps my hair, didnt get nauseous Cons: I don't think zinc gluconate works as well as chelate for most people because its harder to absorb. WEll not help much if you acne is caused by something that zinc can't help like diet. Bottom Line: I got some zinc amino chelate about a week ago and ever since ive been taking 50 mgs a day my complexion has been getting better and I haven't broken out. Did you know when you ejaculate you lose like 5 mgs of zinc, so thats kinda alot when you think about how much zinc your body absorbs without taking a supplement (its usually less than that a day). So you might not want to jerk off like everyday if you have a zinc deficiency. Recommended: Yes Usage: Julian has used this item for about a week. Pros: Zinc works wonders, my skin has never been this clear. Cons: Will get nauseated, even with food. Bottom Line: After suffering for a long with acne, going to dermatologists and using antibiotics for years, I decided to try zinc. I can not believe how well it works for me. It has done more for my skin than any antibiotic or retin-a. I still get a few spots (usually hormone related), but overall my skin is crystal clear. I am so grateful I actually tried this. Pros: I have been taking it for one week and so far my complexion has brighten. My acne is still there but lesser than before. I'm taking 50mg zinc gluconate. I would like to try zinc chelate to see if it is better. Pros: Helps the redness of my pimples go down pretty fast and keeps other pimples away Cons: You have to eat something or you can't take it Bottom Line: I had severe acne this one day, and I complained to my mom the day before, so she got me these 50mg zinc pills, and I took one along with a bowl of chicken noodle soup. That night I noticed the redness of my pimples went down and I continued it for a week along with lemon juice. and I didn't have acne for a few months. Then I started getting lazy and forgot to use the zinc for a few days, and I got moderate acne marks. Now I have to star all over again... Pros: It has worked well. I get artificial acne & acne scars that go away quickly & ive noticed that it has worked to prevent from actually getting acne. You can buy the chelated zinc at cvs or wal-mart or walgreens but remmeber to buy the chelated zinc. Pros: It works for me. Cons: Can deplete copper in your system if you take to much. Need to take a copper supplement. Bottom Line: Make sure if you are taking more than thirty mg a day that you take a copper supplement. Zinc depletes copper in your system. You can get it at any health food store. I have been taking zinc between 50mg and 75mg a day for months and it definitely helps. Not perfect but way better then it was before. Hope this helps. Pros: Nothing yet Cons: none Bottom Line: Am going to use it till the bottle is finished and see what happens. Nothing has helped me in nearly 30 years so my expectations are fairly low. Accutane (maximum dosage) stopped the large painful bumps but I am still covered with blackheads and scars. Recommended: No Usage: Celia has used this item for about a month. Pros: works really well Cons: upset stomach if to much at once Bottom Line: Peoples please PLEASE write which sort of zinc your taking eg zinc oxide/zinc gluconate/zince amino chelate etc, AND THE DOSE! HUGE difference-I was on chelated zinc 50mg daily, which was a miracle cure, then switched to zinc gluconate for 4 months, and I was back with terrible acne. Switched back to chelated, skin clear. Zinc definately has the potentially to cure acne but we need to figure out why it's not working for some people Recommended: Yes Usage: Reviewer has used this item for about a year.
