| Pros | refreshing smoothing reduces redness calm skin |
|---|---|
| Cons | not much is needed, so if you dont eat plain yogurt then lots of it goes to waste. |
| Bottom line | I use plain or Greek yoghurt as a base for masks. It calms the skin and feels very refreshing, I usually mix it with honey and turmeric. I use it in the morning because I find it evens out my skin tone so that I hardly need to wear make-up. (it helps wake me up too) even though the yoghurt can expire quickly, I still use it for my face as long as it doesn't get mouldy it just doesn't smell very good |

| Pros | Reduces redness Reduces size of acne Nice cooling feeling Reduces scars |
|---|---|
| Cons | Use half of a tub by time it expires :( |
| Bottom line | I usually wash my face first with non-scented anti-bacterial soap first. IT IS A MUST TO WASH FACE FIRST! I then take a CLEAN foundation brush that I ONLY USE FOR YOGURT!!! Then apply a thin or thick (depending on how bad my face is that day) and leave it on for about 20-30 min. Rinse off yogurt with luke warm or cold water (remember, hot water dries skin which causes more zits) After all yogurt is off my face I apply a TINY (not even a dime size) of moisturizer; this helps keep your face from drying out (my face dries up when it gets wet) Try using it nightly (or 3 to 4 times a week) within 6 months you will see a significant difference. This will help with reducing redness, scars, and zits. EXTRA YOGURT USAGE!!!! You can use yogurt in your hair too!!!! Just mix a little bit of yogurt, egg whites, and olive oil together! Put the mix in hair and leave in for an hour. This mask will help grow and repair your hair. Just wash out with mild shampoo and I suggest a leave in conditioner after to keep it soft. |

| Pros | -Skin feels soft -Reduced Redness |
|---|---|
| Cons | None |
| Bottom line | My acne started when i was 17 years old. Before that i'd get the odd pimple but i started getting cystic pimples. One or two at a time but i'd pop them and end up they'd turn into open wounds. My doctor put me on Diane-35 and gave me differin gel. The diane took a while to clear my skin up but i still get the odd cystic pimple and the yogurt mask really helps. How I make it: I take about a tablespoon of PLAIN low fat yogurt and put it in a bowl, then i add a few drops of tea tree oil (don't add too much if you have sensitive skin) and about a tablespoon of virgin coconut oil (not necessary if you have oil skin but i have very dry skin) Then I mix it all up and apply a thin layer all over my face. I add a thick layer on problem areas (cystic pimples) and leave it there for about an hour or so... This really helps with redness and inflammation and if used consistently will help you acne! Give it a try |

| Pros | ~ Reduces Redness! ~ Moisturizing! ~ Shrinks Zits Without Over Drying! ~ All Natural! |
|---|---|
| Cons | ~ Might be a bit messy the first time you apply! ~ It doesn't completely get rid of acne, just makes the overall appearance of your skin more even and vibrant! |
| Bottom line | This is great for redness, applying a yogurt mask every morning and evening made my severe sunburn completely disappear from my face in 3 days! Then I noticed that my zits looked a lot less red and prominent! ------------------------------------- This is how I use a simple yet effective yogurt mask: 1) Wait about ten minutes after cleansing your face. 2) Supply yourself with plain, full fat, organic/natural yogurt of any brand. Take it fresh out of the fridge, so that it cools your skin when applying. 3) Scoop the yogurt out with clean fingers and apply to dry face. Stop when you have a thick, gooey mask. (Evenly coated, or concentrated on red/problem areas.) 4) Leave on face for 20-25 minutes. 5) Gently RINSE off all the yogurt with lukewarm water. 6) Do not put any additional products on the face after rinsing. ------------------------------------- Continue with this routine morning and night and you should see results within a couple days! This is especially amazing if you have a bad, embarrassing-looking sunburn or red patches! |

| Pros | Moisturizes Skin Makes skin CLEAR |
|---|---|
| Cons | Can be messy, but its worth it! |
| Bottom line | I saw a bubzbeauty video of her doing this sort of thing, and so I wanted to try it out. Let me just say, THIS REALLY WORKS. I have acne on my forehead, right/left of my eyebrows, my cheeks, and my chin. And let me just say that this really cleared up my skin. In about a week of using this, i noticed my skin was REALLY SOFT!! And alot clearer as well. Anyways, I recommend this to people with acne. Good Luck!!! :D |

| Pros | It was great! Cheap, soothing and moisturizing for dry skin. Helps with my one pimple to reduce redness. Next day - zit is gone! Usually the few zits I get take a couple of days to heal, but yogurt reduced the time to one day. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Messy, but it's worth it. |
| Bottom line | Try it! You've nothing to lose if you follow the directions correctly. -use full fat plain organic natural yogurt. (doesn't have to be Greek yogurt, can be just yogurt) -Try mixing it with sour cream (also natural) which also has even more cultures and therefore higher cleansing and moisturizing. (I like Daisy all natural) -No flavored yogurts (Putting sugar on your face is no good, and flavored yogurt isn't as cost effective. -Try doing this right after a shower, as a shower steams open your pores. -You can mix this with oatmeal's rolled oats for gentle exfoliation when removing it. -Leave it on for 20-25 minutes! -Try to relax when doing it (Relieves stress) -Wash with lukewarm water and DON't use a cleanser afterward. If you do, use a gentle one. You can even cleanse your face with honey. YOU CAN use a light moisturizer, but I don't find this necessary. |

| Pros | The texture and smell is nice MAKES SKIN SOFT skin feels tight after rinsing off |
|---|---|
| Cons | Makes skin turn red and itchy Makes pimples itchy and worse BREAKS OUT YOUR SKIN!! |
| Bottom line | I saw a lot of good reviews on this yogurt mask. so i decided to try it... I was impressed on the first 2 days i used yogurt mask only. I bought greek yogurt from supermarket and put it on as a mask. It felt tight and smooth on my face. I washed it off and my skin has never been so soft. It felt like it was a baby's.. But the skin around my lower chin and neck area started to itch real bad but i ignored it. I used the mask for 2 weeks. I thought the softness is good for the acne. My skin was so soft i didnt even need lotion. But THE BOTTOMLINE IS, IT DIDNT HELP MY ACNE> NOTHING AT ALL. IT MADE ACNE WORSE. For people who are not prone to acne, use it once a week or once a month for extreme softness. but if your face is acne prone, DO NOT USE THIS AS MASK OR WASH. .. or perhaps im just allergic to it.. no matter, it really aggravated my pimples anyway... |

| Pros | - Very mild exfoliation |
|---|---|
| Cons | - The smell can be a turn-off for some |
| Bottom line | I love this! I wanted to try it after reading rave reviews about it, so I decided to give it a go. I purchased a big container of plain, nonfat Dannon yogurt. I smeared a thick layer over my entire face and let it dry for about an hour and a half. Rinsed it off with lukewarm water and voila! calmer, WAY more supple, velvety soft and smooth skin :) |

| Pros | smooths and soothes texture instantly stops redness not harsh on skin better than any synthetic cleanser |
|---|---|
| Cons | none |
| Bottom line | I threw all my other skin cleansers in the garbage...yep...You cant go wrong here, unless you are extremely allergic to dairy. I hear goats milk yogurt is even better. Idk, plain chobani works for me or sour cream and Im sure the goats milk yogurt will cost an arm and leg at the health food stores we have. But I wouldn't not try it for that reason, this just works for me. After the first use my skin was soft and the tone was even and smooth. Much less redness. I don't let it dry completely, cause it can be really hard to get off. Let it sit for 20 minutes to see results. My skin stayed oil free for 8 hours! Unheard of for me, I have VERY oily skin...which makes it look young, but its hard to keep clear. Im not going to write a novel but check out this link and it explains exactly how probiotics restore balance to the skin, both internally and externally...<http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3038963/> Its also just plain recommended to consume yogurt if you are on antibiotics anyway to restore the good flora...which I am convinced is linked to "leaky gut" and skin issues, acne or dermatitis... Do not stop using it because your skin clears up! Most people don't want to stop anyway...Its cheap, its easy, and is so much nicer than harsh synthetic cleansers, which I am convinced begin a vicious cycle...You can buy a huge tub of plain chobani greek yogurt at sams club for less than $4...Use it as a wash, and a mask, dissolved aspirin mixed in will help the absorption process and reduces redness and swelling even more...I also buy the fruit on the bottom and eat those twice a day...Still skeptical? Go to makeup [link removed] and look up the reviews or just google them... |

| Pros | -reduces redness -cools skin (cold yogurt feels good) -reduces pimple size -light exfoliant (lactic acid) -moisturizes |
|---|---|
| Cons | -nothing, tho it can get a bit runny or messy -my yogurt expires after 2.5 months after i buy it. not too bad, but i had to divide some of it to eat that way my 32 oz yogurt wouldn't go to waste |
| Bottom line | i'm gonna tell you now, i got some BAD acne! you can go to the link below (if it works) or go to my personal regimen logs to see my face. http://www.acne.org/messageboard/post-a33682-.html i got the idea of plain yogurt from bubzbeauty on youtube. it was a natural product that she swore by and she has some nice skin and her suggestions have never steered me wrong before. anyway i picked up some plain stop and shop yogurt since it was cheaper than dannon and gave it a go. basically i take a spoonful of yogurt and take my mini blush brush that i bought (though i don't wear makeup so i figure hey might as well use this set for something lol) dip it in the yogurt on the spoon and spread it all over my face. i leave it for 20 -30 minutes and wash with cold water. i do this mask after i have cleaned my face really well. oh my word! it moisturizes my skin, reduces redness and after using it at night my pimples reduced greatly!! the best natural remedy ever (well besides lemon cuz that is good too) this morning i decided to put some lemon on my face, let it dry then add the yogurt mask. (using lemon to help my hyperpigmentation) and i am touching my face now and ahhhh it feels like it has drunk loads of water!!! don't even have to put moisturizer (unless i'm going outside then eucerin spf 30) overall excellent product. it's cheap and huge so it should last you about 2 months. wish it didn't ever expire tho. |
