I just started Yasmin two weeks ago so maybe my hormones are just all out of whack. I thought it was just me but after reading your testimonials maybe it is the pill that is making me feel like this. I've been really irritable lately, I cry for no reason at all, I'm depressed all day and now I have pain in my lower abdominals. Many of my girlfriends are on this pill and they love it. I'm normally a very happy person but lately I'm sad all the time.

Was on this pill for 6 months and just had to stop it last month. I gained about 8 to 10 pounds all in my belly area. Had the most sore breasts I have ever had in my 29 years of being alive. Was so thirsty all the time. Had extreme depression and mood swings would feel depressed for no apparent reason. Spotting in-between periods not to mention thick and heavy periods when they came. My husband watched something Diane Sawyer about Yasmin and how bad it was for the body. So I decided to do some research and found this site.... Thank God.......... I am so thankful I stopped this pill!

I would not recommend Yasmin to anyone based on my experience with it. I just went off of it yesterday after finally figuring out that all of the issues I was having were from the Yasmin. Ladies, beware. Yasmin is responsible for several deaths caused by blood clots. One of the victims was only 17 and she had no warning. This pill has a higher risk than others because of the two combined hormones. It doesn't matter how old you are or if you smoke. I had been on this pill for over 2 years and LOVED it. No side effects, no problems. Until three months ago. I started spotting between periods which never happened before. Then came the anxiety attacks, muscle weakness, extreme fatigue, dizziness & racing pulse. Yasmin causes a high amount of Potassium to remain in the blood, which depletes your magnesium supply. Magnesium deficiency is the leading cause of anxiety related illness.
Now I am not saying that this pill is bad for everyone because I don't have that information. I'm am warning you to pay attention to your body. Just because you feel fine after a few months of being on it, doesn't mean you will in a year or more. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. I am on my first day of being off the pill. I had my metals/Potassium checked this morning to see if they were affected at all. I am also having a test to see if I have a hormonal imbalance. I would advise anyone having symptoms similar to mine to do the same. You are your own best advocate for your health! BCP aren't always the answer!

It lowered my libido by half, period pain is worsening (i've been on it for about 2 1/2 months now), I'm waaay more emotional, and just before my period i got the most sore right breast i've ever had! It's very expensive compared to other pills too. I will probably switch pills in a month if it continues like this. I think the pill is a worry no matter which one you take...everyone seems to get pretty unnatural reactions.

I love Yasmin. I had really bad acne and even took antibiotics. I started with Diane for about a year until the doctor told me it's not good to take for too long and switched to Yasmin. I continued for about 2 years and I never had a problem then I made the worst mistake and changed to Orthotryciclin Lo and it was horrible so I stopped. Now my acne is back and I'm going back to Yasmin. I will continue till Menopause. I hate acne

I've been on Yasmin two months. For the first seven pills of the pack (first seven days) I'm extremely thirsty. This subsides and the after taking the 7th pill of the pack I get acne breakout, EXTREME breast swelling (2 cup sizes within 48 hours or so) and breast pain, roughly 8 lb weight gain (normally I'm 120 lbs), right breast swells more than left, itches and gets a rash. Irritable, angry and random episodes of crying. Anyone else? If you have experience similar symptoms with Yasmin, have you found any relief with another pill?

I've been on this for 2 months now, was on Dianette before but heard this was good for acne. So far my acne has definitely got worse, no other side effects but im wondering if its worth continuing it. My dr said it wasn't good to be on dianette for a long period of time.
