Yasmin (Birth control) Reviews

I have tried alot of other birth control pills, and have found that Yasmin has been the best. It has made my acne clear up, and I no longer need perscription medication for it. My cramps are about the same, really painful. My period is a lot less bleeding though. I like it, and will continue to use it for a long time. I think that if your trying it for the first time, to just stick with it. It ussually takes about three monthes before noticing any results. GOod Luck!

I have been using Yasmin now for almost 2 months and I am very happy with it. Before I started it, I was worried that I'd have bad side effects from it just like I had with the Ortha-Evra patch that I tried October of 2003. I had horrible side effects from that. It completely messed up my skin, it made me feel very tired, weak, nauseous, and my skin color looked extremely pale and sickly, so I quit that after just 10 days. It was just too strong and it delivered a very high amount of hormones in a short period of time that my body just couldn't handle. Anyways, about the Yasmin - it has been treating me great so far. My skin is wonderful. I still get the occasional breakouts every month, but they go away quickly. And whenever my period is approaching, believe it or not, I've noticed that my skin looks so much better than it normally would which is weird. It's really helped regulate my cycles and I'm in much less pain as well. My moods have been pretty stable since I started it. If anything, I've become less depressed, but if I ever do decide to quit it, I'm really hoping that I won't experience any bad withdrawal symptoms. Overall, I give Yasmin 2 thumbs up! =)

I've been on Yasmin BCP for 3 years and I am satisfied with the result. I haven't been bloated neither lost weight and it does not bring out any acne in my skin. It works perfect for me

I have been on Yasmin for about a year and have not experienced any of the negative side effects that a BCP is likely to cause. My periods are very light and last only 3 days and I do not have the intense cramps that I used to. I do not feel moody or bloated; however, I have not seen a reduction in my weight as some have suggested...no weight gain either though. I used to take Ortho-tricycline and had a horrible time. This BCP has been great to my body. Also, I have always had moderate acne problems and I have not noticed any difference in break outs since I have been on Yasmin. I see a dermatologist for the acne. I would definitely recommend that any woman in need of a BCP give Yasmin a try.

ive been on yasmin for 11 days and already ive seen a diffrence. my face normally has acne all over it but now i only have about 2 or 3 pimples. my periods a little longer but i think that will change. i did get cramps the first couple days but no worse than before. im really enjoying not having acne! :)

I went on Yasmin to help control the pain and potential damage of endometriosis. I have tried other pills a couple of years ago but never a "low dose". I have gotten pimples on my chin and neck and I am experiencing all of the symptoms of bad PMS: depression, short temper, feeling like I am going to cry at the drop of a hat, poor self image. I don't think I will be able to continue using this. I had the same reaction to other birth controls but I was hoping, for the sake of my internal organs, that this one would be different. I noticed my bras and my jeans don't fit as well. I don't know if that is water retention or weight gain.

I have been on the pill for about a month and prior to being on yasmin I was taking ortho-tri-cyclen. I must say both BCP's agreed with me and I am happy with the results they bith gave me. Yasmin has cleared my skin up a lot. I used to get pimples all over my cheeks, chin and forehead. I still get minor pimples, but I noticed that they are less intense and they diminish faster. Maybe next month the results will get even better.

i have been on yasmin for about 18months and i find it works well for my skin, but sometimes i do feel a little bloated. Also ive noticed ive been a little depressed over the past 6 months but it may just be what has been happening. i recommend it, however as of yesterday i stopped taking it. i hope i lose some weight and no pimples please?!

I've taken Yasmin for 2 years and 3 months ago I decided to stop as I've been on contraceptive pill for nearly 10 years. As soon as I stopped I started getting severe pimples on my chin with enlarged and noticable pores around my cheeks. I've never had such severe bad skin and have decided to go back on Yasmin.

I have been on Yasmin for a month and I think it is working GREAT! I had HORRIBLE cramps and bleeding and I have already noticed a difference after the first month. My cramping is about 1/4 the amount it was before, I can actually function while having my period and instead of missing a week at the gym I only missed one because of it. My flow has been lighter, but I think it will get even better, since my gynecologist said that it takes 3 months to take full effect. My appetite seems to be the same, although at first it seemed like it was increased a bit. It does seem like I have gotten more pimples, which I'm dissappointed in because I have never really had many before this. Overall this is helping a TON!!!
