Pros: Prevents pregnancy. Cons: First pill i went on was microgynon 30-side effects were so severe that i had to come off within a week.Side effects on yasmin are much better but still bad.Tiredness,laziness,depression,lack of interest in doing anything,spots,bigger appetite,etc. Bottom Line: If you have any sideeffects then how does it agree with your body or ever going to be suitable? Both the yasmin and the microgynon have changed me - made me into a completely different person. I hate it - only probably going to give it another week and then will come off it. Its a matter of trial and error. Obviously effects each person differently, for me its awful already! Recommended: No Usage: Lisa has used this item for about a week. Pros: My periods are lighter, and I have not gotten pregnet Cons: Horrible breakouts,cramping in between periods,always hungry. Bottom Line: I had moderate acne before I got on this. When I first started it only cleared up a little. Then shortly after i started getting these huge welt like Bumps all over. after a while it would clear up in one spot then break out horribly in another. It is the most painful acne I have ever had. I DO NOT recommend this product and can`t belive it even had gone up in price dramatically. I am getting on some new stuff ASAP Recommended: No Usage: Amanda has used this item for a few months. Pros: works well enough for pms Cons: Horrible horrible acne Bottom Line: I have never had this much acne in my life! totally not worth it. Pros: Regular, Lighter periods. Prevents pregnancy. Cons: Slight weight gain. Always feel hungary. Some mood swings. Bottom Line: I have been using Yasmin for about a year now. So far, no babbies. I have gained about 8 pounds since using the pill. I tend to feel hungary all the time and have some mood swings. My periods and are more regular and a lot shorter and lighter. The pill has helped to slightly clear my skin, but I still have a few random breakouts every so often. Recommended: Yes Usage: Katie has used this item for about a year. Pros: Only 2 to 3 day light periods that were cramp free!! Cons: Pricey... Bottom Line: It seems to work well for me, no babies.. It does however not prevent any acne for me and I never had acne before taking birth control. It has been especially bad since I quit taking it about 3 months ago.. Wonder if that's normal?? Pros: clearer skin, i have no dizziness, headaches, or weight gain so far. but my boobs are slightly bigger! Cons: none Bottom Line: I was surprised to see that my skin started clearing up right away within the first week. (Yasmin- not YAZ) I thought it would take longer than this and from the reviews i have read, i thought it would get worse before it got better. this hasn't been the case so far and i hope it continues this way. I have never had good skin but i had it under control until i was 22. and then all of a sudden i got the worst acne of my life-huge cysts leaving dark marks all over my cheeks, chin, and jawline. i have no idea why it got so bad all of a sudden- but i am assuming it is hormonal which is why i think the pill is helping me so much. I think if this pill works at all- it will have good results within the first week of taking it. Recommended: Yes Usage: Marge has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: minimal weight gain Cons: severe headaches, skin tags, loss of sex drive Bottom Line: I was never prone to headaches before taking this product. I took Seasonale before, but a friend said this was better for skin and weight regulation. My weight did not go up more than a couple of pounds. My breast size remains about the same. My skin has never been this rashy and broken out in my life. I am going off. Recommended: No Usage: Reviewer has used this item for about a year. Pros: Shorter, lighter periods Virtually no cramping Affordable Cons: Worse Mood swings Acne Breakouts Bottom Line: I'm really not crazy about this stuff. I've been on it for almost a year now. It was suggested that I give it a chance to regulate my system and things would eventually even out. Nope. It seems like the longer I'm on it, the worse things are getting. Went from having little acne to breaking out something horrible (always on week 2). Went from minor mood swings to major ones (again, always on week 2). My annual is coming up and along with having my hormone levels checked, I am going to switch brands. Just not working for me. Recommended: No Usage: Carrie has used this item for about a year. Pros: Lighter periods, cramps, bloating, acne, and a much higher sex drive. Cons: I'm in my third month, and I am just now having spotting, that wont go away. Bottom Line: I have severe endometriosis, and pre-cirvical cancer. I could never take birth control before, due to the horrible side effects. My doctor made me try this as he said it will do good for my health issues. And it has!! After I had surgery I started taking Yaz. I had no noticable side effects. After my first month of use I felt great! I lost the weight I gained from surgery, I was not so moody, and best f all my sex drive went to the roof!!! But now in my third month, I am having spotting. It may be due to my heath issues, but the doctor said more then likely it is from the Yaz. Ither way I am going to hang on, so far this has been a medical breakthrogh for me! I recommend this for woman who have issues like myself. It has been wonderful! And I dont have the period side effects any more, which is great for woman with endometriosis!!
