i've been on yasmin since may b/c i had a serious break out in feb. so i've been on it for 5 months now. my skin is great! everyone says my skin looks pretty good and smooth. i still get the occasional pimple but damn this stuff works well. it also regulates my periods. i've only had one bad mood swing a month ago but i can't attribute it to just the pill. also, i don't know if it's because i'm still growing or if it's the pill, but my breasts have definitely gotten larger! i love it =) i recommend it to anyone sick of their acne stained face like i was

When I was orginally on this for over two years, I got so many comments about how my face was so nice and what do I use. Then, I only used a gentle cleanser, sunscreen, and Differin every few days. Did not wear make-up at all, didn't have to. Now I use Proactiv, AHA, BHA, Azelaic, and Differin and still breaking out. I always have make-up on and can't stand it anymore.
But I do remember some of the side effects that took place for the first couple months, but I think it is worth it to go through again to have clear skin. I actually lost weight, too. This was prescribed for my endometriosis, but magically cleared my face. I can't wait to use again. I went off because insureance didn't cover and just couldn't afford anymore. But I have realized with all the OTC stuff and vitamins/supplements I take, it cost way more than the Yasmin ever did. If you just STICK WITH IT for a couple months, the side effects go aways after body adjust with it. It's the closest thing to a cure for me. Good Luck!

Let me tell you that I had absolutely no idea that Yasmin was the cause of so many problems I've been having. Everytime I had sex, I came down with a case of Bacterial Vaginosis. My doctor didn't know why all of a sudden this plagued me after sex. I asked him if it could be the Yasmin and he said, "No, no. I've never heard of that." At the time when I first started taking this drug, it didn't say that it might cause vaginal infections. NOW IT SAYS THAT VAGINAL INFECTIONS ARE A POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECT!!! I finally feel like I'm not a freak and it was the medication all along! If I'd known then what I know now, I would have never taken it. I've also had problems with heaviness in my chest and my heart races willy nilly for no reason. I have another damn BV infection right now which prompted me to look into the possibility that Yasmin had caused it all along, leading me to this website. I'm quitting this Yasmin crap tonight!!!

all birth control is free in England so it's definately affordable, tho it's expensive for doctors to buy it so some may be reluctant, you may need to go armed with info and assertiveness. Been on it for 2 1/2 months now and my skin is so so much better, i still get one or two spots but it's such a relief not worrying about what I look like constantly. I also haven't noticed any side effects as far as i can tell, there's so many different factors that affect mood that it's very very hard to pinpoint what's causing what. But I would say it's all good, for me at least. Also no weight gain (tho i think my boobs might be looking a bit bigger, damn!) and i'm sex mad. bargain. i think it's really good to get a balance of opinion on sites like this because different things are going to work for different people and as that girl said you're more likely to be on here if you have had a bad experience. i'll be sure to let you know if i start feeling ^@$^ or anything. oh and for the girl that they got better then worse for: yeah, definately got worse during my period andi'm sure that will happen for a while yet, it isn't all completely smooth going but tis much better.

I will tell you all that reading some of this stuff scares the crap outta me! But, I thin ka lot of what is described is true for a lot, if not all, BC pills! I have tried 'em all! I just started Yasmin 10 days ago after being off BC for about 6 months. I have endometriosis so I need to be on something for the cramping. I was on Levlite and the Patch and both gave me bad heart palputations. So.... by process of elimination I am down to my last few BC choices! So far, Yasmin has been good to me. I have a had a few paplutations, nothing like before! I haven't had any mood swings to the negative, in fact I have been quite giggly ;-)
I have problems with anxiety anyway so who can tell the difference eh ?
I recommend that you girls try it. I have friends on it and they love it also! Weigh out your risks and benefits.....
remember, you can always stop the pill if you have side effects....

i have been on yasmin now for 3 months, after being on the depo provera for two and a half year(which is pure evil-made me gain 2 stone in weight!) i have found yasmin 2 be brilliant, my skin is glowing, ive lost a bit weight because altough i feel hungry, im finding that i get full relly quichly!!! brilliant pill

I just got on Yasmin last Sunday-and i am amazed at how wonderful it has worked. I have combination skin-typical acne-gets worse when i get stressed out/get period. I have no more blackheads on my nose-and am losing more and more everyday. Whiteheads are still on my chin but are on a decline!
I have gained weight but its ALL gone to my boobs and i have no lovehandles whatsoever.
Im still my skinny self but now i have Amazing boobs. I like this developement very much haha!
Also, i got huge cramps when first going on the pill for 3 days. It was quite uncomfortable but Id do it again for these results! Also, my sex drive has totally boosted. My breasts get extremnely tender after working-out but this is maybe because they are oversized now?

After being on Yasmin for four months, I have to quit!!! In the last two months I have been extremely tired. I used to run almost every day. Now I can barely run a few errands and I feel as if I'm on the verge of a cold all the time. This is a bitter pill...its just not worth it!

My Dr prescribed Yasmin after being on the IUD for 2yrs. This is my 1st pack and I should have started my period 2 days ago. I have been on a lot of other birth control pills before, but I have never missed my period during the first few months. Is this normal?

This pill has been the worse thing in my life. I have started PA school and I thought the anxiety and depression was from that. I couldn't understand the panic attacks and major insomnia. I have a hard time breathing sometimes and this is exacerbated by the panic attacks. I would never recommend this pill to anyone.
