I've just finished my third month on Yasmin. I had been on Diane 35 for 8 months, whcih I started because Birth Control was causing me inflammatory acne, however I stopped using Diane because of how sick to my stomach it was making me. So I switched to Yasmin wich is used for birth control and not an acne therapy. The first month was fine. But it was the end of the second and third month that the changes in my body really started to effect me. I lost 10 percent of my body wieght, my acne got worse, and I became really fatigued. It wasnt until the last week in the third month that my face looked somewhat better and I started to gain alittle more fat. Haha..so I hope I made it through the worse because I dont want to jump to another pill. So my advice to anyone who is thinking or has just started Yasmin. Just Stay with it. Maybe in the fourth month it will be better. Good luck.

I have been on Yasmin for about 3-4 months and I have noticed an improvement in my skin. However, I have had premature spotting since the second month. I have never had anything like this before, so I know it's the Yasmin. I am going to give it another month, since it's been helping my skin, but that's just a pain in the rear! If it doesn't clear up the spotting, I might have to try a stronger bcp or just a different one, I guess. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi everyone. I started taking Yasmin in Jan of 2005 and by March my skin was clear. I also started using Murad products around the same time so I don't know if it was the Yasmin or murad. I had no side effects on Yasmin like some people are describing. No depression, no mood swings, no irregular bleeding. However, in September, I started to break out again along my jawline. Huge pimples! It's so depressing. Now I don't know if it's because of Murad or Yasmin. I stopped Murad like 3 weeks ago, and also stopped Yasmin. I went to the gyno yesterday and she prescribed Orthro Tri Lo so we'll see how well that works. Also, I've started using Dan's regimen combined with proactive sulfur mask for the past two weeks. No improvements yet, but I guess this stuff takes time. Any advise or similar experiences feel free to email me at [email address removed]. Thanks

I feel compelled to write something to this board. About two years ago I started taking Yasmin. Almost immediately I felt depressed, anxious, and moody. I'd cry almost constantly for no apparent reason, I couldn't be bothered turning up for work, my family and friends stopped speaking to me, it was awful. I went off the pill for some reason I can't remember and returned to my normal self. Later the next year I started seeing someone and went back on the pill. Almost immediately yet again I felt, moody and depressed. It got so bad I was fighting with my partner on a daily basis and became obsessively anxious that he was going to leave me. It go so bad I went on anti-depressants for a few months. After my partner and I split up I went off the pill and magically I didnt need the antidepressants anymore. I felt great. A few weeks ago I started going to the gym again, I was happy, healthy and great. At the suggestion of my current partner I went back on the Yasmin. I've been on it five days now and I've spent almost the whole time crying, fighting, getting angry, paranoid. I have been missing work, I can't be bothered going to the gym, it's been a nightmare. I only just realised today the connection between these bouts of depression were Yasmin. I would recommend anyone trying this BC pill to look out for any of these symptoms (it took me two years to put two and two together) and discuss it seriously with your doctor. I for one am not finishing out this month and going to see my GP as soon as possible.

On yasmin now for two months for Endometriosis and Pmdd. I just recently got off anti-depressants for major pmdd and have founf that my periods are severe again. I was told that Yasmin is supposed to help this. I am still waiting. Is there anyone who has received relief from this pill and how long did it take to work? I am desperate becuase I don't want to go back on anti-deoressants because they had horrible side effects- i hated it. Contact me at [email address removed]

I started this pill almost 3 months ago and since then I have been really depressed. Im a college athlete and have had no desire to play anymore. I am sad for no reason and I cry all the time. I also can't sleep. I DO NOT recommend this pill.

I started taking Yasmin around the time of Katrina, and since then I have noticed that the spots of acne are still on my skin but my face feels smoother. I am so tired of acne! But a really weird side effect of taking hormones is that my chest went from a 34 B to a 36 D. So I've had to buy different size bras in the past three months! I don't know if I like my new chest or not and I'm wondering if I'm still going to grow or stop and stay a 36 D until I'm older. My chest is getting in the way though. I can't clap normally or do anything without my arms hitting them. It's so annoying! I want to duct-tape them like Christina Ricci did in the movie Now and Then!!! ;) haha jkjk

I started taking yasmin because of my achne.
It worked really well and had wished I gone on to in along time ago. My breast all became alot fuller which was quite agreeable. I have just gone off it due to the fact that its so expensive and I can't afford it. I now have little itchy spot all over by body and some on my face and lips. I cant really remember the exact time I started taking the pill, but I'm pretty certain that when I first went on it I had the same reaction. It's driving me insane.

I love this pill eventhough there are some bad side affects like having to pee more often, crampsand diareah and nausia. I have noticed that my skin dramatically cleared up and my breast wen from a small B to a full B. I havent really noticed any weight gain or lose, but if there is any weight gain then that explains the brest incresement. Ive only been on yasmin for like a week or two now and my boobs are bigger...I LOVE IT! i would take it just for that reason lol :)
