had yasmin recommended to me by my dr for my acne. Have been taking it for just over a month now. My acne hasnt improved yet - though i understand it takes a while to make a difference - have previously taken dianette for abot 2 years - which made a tremendous difference - but the pill has now been removed from the UK market. Since starting yasmin - ive experienced fatigue, also as mentioned by several others - needing to urinate a lot - and has completely killed my sex drive. Have gone up a bra size, and put on weight - all of this i can put up with if sorts my skin out

I'm 21 years old, and I started taking yasmin about 2 years ago. I was taking ortho tricyclin before, and it was horrible, my skin had errupted somethign fierce. So I changed to yasmin, and after talking to my roommate I realized that it was causing a major decrease in libido. I never really thought about it, until she mentioned that she had the same problem. We did some research and sure enough that was one of the side effects. I have liked the pill otherwise, it lessed my period to 3 days, but having no libido until the second its out of my system isnt good for my or my boyfriend. So i'm calling my doctor tomorrow and changing!

Hi, I am 23 years old and have recently got of the yasmin pill. My husband asked that I quit taking the pill because he noticed that I was acting like a totally different person. I had terrible mood swings, I was very short tempered and wasn't easy to get along with. I have also recently been having a lot of urinary problems. Mainly frequency with little amounts of urine at a time. I went to a urologist (bladder specialist) and they did a renal ultrasound on me (ultrasound of bladder and kidneys). The tests came back normal. I don't know what is wrong with me. I also have totally lost my sex drive. I could go months without being intimate with my husband. Yasmine has totally messed up my life. It is now that I am off of the pill that I realize all of the side effects. I was on Yasmine for approx. 15 months. Has anyone recently had urinary problems or light spotting after intercouse? I really need advice and opinions. Thanks

I tried Yasmin for 2 weeks and experienced severe depression and fatique. I just wanted to sleep all the time and I cried all the time. I've never had an acne problem but I was very bloated. I switched back to the Nuva Ring however the headaches from the Nuva Ring is driving me crazy. I'm 37 and tried everything I have endometriosis so being on the pill helps with the painful cramps.

I've been on Yasmin for about three years. My skin looks great, however, I have headaches every single month. The headaches were migranes, and I could pin point to the exact day of the month I would get it (definitely hormone related). Sometimes it would last 2 days! Recently I have been getting headaches several times during the month, and they sometimes last for 5 days. I've been dizzy and tired and feel sort of out of it too often. I defintely have a decreased sex drive too. I'm going off this pill for a few months to see how the headaches go. After reading everyone's comments, I have a feeling they may go away. As far as the acne concern...I have used Proactive and would recommend it highly. It really does all it says it will!

I switched to Yasmine because I was spotting with the ortho tricyclen lo. I have been depressed and cry alot to my husband. I thought it was because he has worked the overnight shift for about a year and a half and I have had to raise our 1 year old daughter by myself and we never see him. We were fighting every day all day and he was actually thinking about devorce. I never wanted to have sex. I actually would say to myself that "I hated him".That scared me so bad. Everything just made me so mad and he could do nothing right. He kept saying that ever since we had Taylor, our 1yr old) you have been so different. Well I started Yasmine 3 months after her. Go figure.Meanwhile I ran out of my yasmine pills and kept forgetting to refill them (it has been a week and a half.) The past week I actually wanted to have sex more then him (which is nice for a change) and we have not fought in a week. I have been happy and have not cryed or been sad. AFTER READING THESE I HAVE RELIZED IT MUST BE YASMINE DOING TO THIS TO ME. I am calling my obgyn tomarrow and having them put me on something else

I'm 34 I have two children and had to return to the pill due to ovarian cysts wich cause a hell of alot of pain, not what i wanted to do but my ob insisted to take it for a year and hopefully the cysts would rid themselves...it's been three months and all the sudden I'm crying for no reason and feeling really impatient where as I'm normally a happy go lucky person. Just wondering if there's anyone else feeling this way. I really feel like I should stop it tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took Yasmin for two weeks. The first week I had terrible headachs, but the second week, I was terribly depressed. I didn't know what was wrong with me. I cried for no reason. I stopped taking it after that and because I didn't finish the pack, I started bleeding. How long will this bleeding last. I will NEVER take another birth control pill. I'll defnitely weigh my other options. I do not have a history of depression. While on Yasmin, I didn't even want to get out of bed. No joy, no laughter. It was one of the worst experiences of my life.

I have been on Yasmine for 3 months and for the last 3 months I have felt like I have the flu, I have gained weight (while training for a marathon mind you)gone up a bra size THEN this past week my heart has felt like it was beating out of my chest and twice I have woke in the middle of the night so dizzy I felt like I was on a ship and having a heart attack at the same time. I am 32 and healthy but for the past 3 months I have been not my self and after reading all the responses it can only be the pill...stop taking tonight.
