I wiil start out by saying that I hate yasmin and it is horrible and no one should ever even concider taking it. I stopped taking it 3 weeks ago because my chinese medicine doctor says that they are horrible for your body. I had bad mood swings and major headaches while I was on the pill. I HATE bcp and the %#%$ I am going through now because of them. I had ovarion cists a couple days ago and had to go to the doctor because of the horrible pain I was in caused by withdrawl of bcp. Not to mention the horrible depression, mood swings, and constant anxiety. So I say to all of you thinking about taking any bcp, do not put those horrible pills in your body there are other healthier ways. I cannot wait to get back to my happy go lucky self.

Ladies, check out [link removed] and look up Yasmin.
VERY SCARY! Have been off it for almost two weeks. Feeling much better..no more bloating, pain, heart palps, discharge, crying, feeling terribly depressed and feeling like something was horribly wrong with me. Do not take this pill.

I have been on yasmine for 1 1/2 months and I am an emotional wreck! I had zero patience with my son and I feel like my life has been totally interupted. Does anyone have a lot of lower back pain and extreme bloating? (I can't fit into any of my clothes) I was put on bc for pcos and I would almost rather deal with the cysts. Are there any symptoms coming off off yasmine?

After accidently getting pregnant on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Low, and then miscarrying, my OB-GYN recommended I try Yasmin. Yasmin didn't really make my periods any better, but it did make me tired, cranky, irritable, and totally destroy my sex drive. The thought of having sex doesn't even occur to me - sleep sounds better. Finally, after taking the pills from September to January my boyfriend asked that I go off of Yasmin because he couldn't take it anymore. I had my OB-GYN switch me to Tri-Phasil, as it seems that my body will respond better to a three phase pill. I've been on it less than a month, so I'm hoping this one will work better for me than Yasmin. If anyone has a similar story, please share it. It helps to know that we're not alone.

My doctor switched me from Ortho Tri Cycline Lo to Yasmine because I did not like the spotting here and there and the breast tenderness.I was on Ortho for 5 months which over time it really did get better..My break outs did go away even tho they were bad in the beginning of starting the Ortho..Anyhow, I have been on Yasmine for 11 days and am so glad I found this site!!I could not figure out what was wrong with me and then I decided to look it up this morning and here I am! Talk about mood swings, headaches I have had them from day one! And I have almost passed out 4 several times now when I get up from sitting down.Oh and lets not forget about the vaginal dryness!! My husband has been like " Whats going on" lol..It is horrible and I have never had that problem!! Well I am going to my doctors office this afternoon and switching back to ortho tri lo...Yasmine has been the worst thing I have ever taken in my life and there is no way I would continue taking it!Talk about a pill to screw ur body up..NO THANX!!!

I have been on the pill for several years and just recently I started wondering if it was the pill making me feel like a monster. Every month without fail, I come close to quitting my job, breaking up with my bofriend, ending friendships, etc.....It is crazy! All the while, I am thiking to myself that something isn't right. I was off the pill for a while (lost 4 lbs without changing a thing) and was my old self. Nothing really bothered me, I was having fun again! I started back on the pills last week, and the monster is back. I am mad at everything and everyone.....I want to stop taking the pill but dont' want to have to worry about pregnancy.

I wouldn't advise anyone to take Yasmin. I've been on b.c. pills for about ten years and have never experienced problems like I had while on yasmin. Side effects such as: mood swings, acne (especially around my mouth), chest pains, headaches which were always preceeded by a burning smell (strangely enough), mood swings, depression and no sex drive (which is really a common side effect on all b.c. pills, a mean little irony!)I gave yasmin a four month trial and it took 3- 4 months to get it and all the nasty side effects out of my system. After going back on my old pill, these problems have ceased. It may give you big boobs, but please it is not worth it. There's something really wrong with Yasmin!

I have ust started using Yasmin, i understand the side effects and after reading other peoples comments on the BCP i am a little apprehensive. I hae been struggling with my acne for some time now, i think it started when i turned 18. I have been using Differen Gel, and clindamycin lotion for 5 months now, and taking Doryx. i have good days of clear skin but then out of know-where i get irritated, inflamed oil glands( i dont think they are pimples though)So i started the yasmin, all while still using the other meds. for my skin, i am affraid that all my months of waiting for my skin to clear will back lash on my face literally. My doctor said its the best bcp for your skin. Im frustrated and concerned with gaining weight and having to start over with my skin....i have high hopes, the only side effects that i have noticed this early on are frequent peeing. very minor minor headaches, we'll see,

I was on a four month trial of Yasmin and i hated it! In the beginning everything appeared to be going fine, with the exception of a little nausea. Over the course of a few months I became very emotional, i would be upset most of the time, cry over little things, and have crazy mood swings. I felt depressed towards the end that is why i'm trying a new type of BCP. i hope it works! :p

So glad I found this site. I have been on Yasmin for several months and now know that my symptoms can be attributed to this BC. I have severe leg cramps at night, no libido (at all) extremely tired (I could fall asleep anywhere) and now that I think about it I have been not very happy lately. I am usually a very happy person. Oh, and I can't forget the 5 extra pounds. I am going off as soon as I am done with this packet. I will write back with results. I hope others do the same after going off of it. I look forward to feeling normal again!
