Pros Regular periods and words as a birth control method
Cons huge pimples, extreme exhaustion, very sore breasts and digestion problems.
Bottom line I'v only been on this pill for two weeks and it started with a really bad headache, immediate and HUGE cyst like pimples on my chin and jaw line, and extreme exhaustion. I can't say that the tiredness is from the pill, however, I sleep 3 hours in the middle of the day even after a good night of sleep. So I think it must be. I am a very active person normally, and now I have trouble getting myself out of bed and getting to the gym in the morning.

I am going to switch next week because this just isn't fun. And because of the sore breasts....

I was on it before for about 2 months, and it did the same thing. So I think it's safe to say that it's not right for me, and might not be right for you.

Pros As a birth control method
Cons -HAIR THINNING
-extreme exhaustion
-difficulty wearing contact lenses
Bottom line At first I wasn't sure why my hair was thinning and though maybe my shampoo. However, after looking into my Yasmin, I found many many reviews from women who experienced the same thing. And then, after reading about the potential side effects, I realized exactly WHY I was experiencing the different things I was going through.
I told my younger sister about it and she was like "THAT was the BC I was on last christmas - remember, when I was sleeping like 13 hrs a day!"

Bottom Line? It isn't worth the side effects - particularly the hair thinning and difficulty wearing lenses.
Yasmin truly should be recalled OR the side effects should include a more extensive list.

Pros -Absolutely clear and healthy skin!
Cons -Weight gain
-Irritable bowel syndrome (indigestion, acid reflux, and bloating)
-Hair thinned! :[
Bottom line Not worth the cons!

I took this for about 2 years. The acne didn't disappear until about 2 months after taking it. I would break out during my period, so my doc said I could skip the white pills and keep taking the actual meds, and so I never got a period or ever broke out! After I lost my insurance, I started paying $60/mo and finally gave up.

This medicine wrecked my system and after 6+ months of being clean from it, the acid reflux is gone, but I still have bloating and my hair has thinned out noticeably. I'm only 23! Now that my acne doesn't stem from hormones as much as it did when I was younger, I would not begin birth control again. (By the way, I am using Nioxin for my hair and it's worked wonders!!)

Pros it works birth control wise..
Cons since ive started taking this ive started getting pains and my heart beats faster. it really only made my acne worse. i was told to research it by a friend and discovered that its side effects are WAY terrible, and that it shoud actually have been recalled. it causes more things than it solves, including liver and kidney damage.
Bottom line this form of preventing acne wouldnt be the best step to take.. its risks are greater than what it solves.

Pros nice packaging?
Cons insomnia, extremely bad moods, aggressive behaviour (slamming doors, throwing and breaking things), cysts on face, sore breasts, frequent urination, major anxiety (can't sit still, elevated heart rate).. and i've only been on it for 5 days!!
Bottom line i have no idea why the doctor recommended this. it has changed me into a completely different person in less than a week and if i were to continue, i would need psychiatric assistance.

Pros The pimples have cleared up along my jawline, really helped clear up my back acne, smaller appetite sometimes
Cons As soon as I started on yasmin I got nearly the worst break out I've had since I first started getting acne.
Bottom line I got lots of pimples on my cheeks and few on my forehead (where I both hardly usually get them), between my eye brows and chin!. I am 3 pills away from finishing my first month and I'm going to carry on with my prescription in hope that my skin will clear. Can someone please tell me if you usually have one big break out when starting and then it get betters?. I paid $76.00 for 3 months supply

Pros Cleared skin for the most part, more consistent. Predictable, shorter periods. Bigger Breasts.
Cons At first I got headaches but they went away, i still get a few and im pretty sure its related to the pill. Acne is not completely gone but is definitely better. Sore breasts.
Bottom line Worked for me! I love it

Pros Kept acne more under control
Cons I gained some weight, but was able to lose it and keep my weight under control!
Bottom line I took Yaz for 3 and a half years! Kept my acne under control for the most part! There were good times and bad for my acne, but it was still MUCH better than without the pill! As soon as I stopped taking the pill, I broke out like crazy and have been battling horrible acne ever since. I am going to start taking a different birth control pill now. Fingers crossed!

Pros Cleared my acne 98%. no more mood swings
Cons Some slight weight gain, and sore breasts
Bottom line I have had acne since i was 17, i am now 32. Not, omg, I got a zit! acne, but cystic acne where my face has turned red and purple because of it. Quarter sized cysts at times! I have massive scarring, deep rolling scars. Yasmin cleared it 98% I only break out during the placebo pills and it's about 2-5 pimples at once! The rest of the month I'm clear. This compared to 20+ pimples every day of my life.

The bad: It made me gain some weight, about 5 lbs., but for me that was fine as I wear a size one. I put it under CONS only because many woman don't like the weight gain.

My breasts are always sore but trust me sore breasts over acne? The acne I had? I'll take it anyday.

I recommend try it, especially if you have severe acne. What have you got to lose?

Pros None: it was horrible!
Cons Severe cysts!
Bottom line I tried Yasmine because I read that it can cure acne. Well for me, it made my mild acne horrible! I never had cysts before, and this gave me massive cysts on my chin and even between my eyebrows! Well my acne is not hormonal and my periods are not irregular. Probably that's why it didn't help me, instead caused much more damage!
