Pros: Regular periods, lost 15 punds from previous birth control (ortho evra, works great as a method for contraception Cons: I don't have acne, but my face broke a few pimples out here and there, bloating, moodiness, depression, isolation, crams even when I'm not on my period, fogetting to take it on time, breasts got smaller Bottom Line: YAZ worked great for me and it works different for everyone, just who you are Recommended: Yes Usage: Elena has used this item for about a year. Pros: Larger breast, contraception, skin seemed a little better. Cons: Changed personality, damaged relationship dynamics, slight depression, Bottom Line: It sucked for me, although the bigger breast were nice. Everyone reactss differently and I reacted horribly. I thought I could be stronger than it, but even after four months it dominated my thoughts with negativity. I cried at everything. I stopped being happy. Doesn't mean others couldn't benefit though. Only use this birth control if you ctually have severe pms or it will give it to you. Recommended: No Usage: Reviewer has used this item for a few months. Pros: none so far Cons: im only on my third day (of Yasmin, not Yaz)but my acne looks like its getting worse already. i bought 3 packs so im going to try it for at least a month and see how bad it gets. Pros: Shorter, lighter, predictable periods. No mood swings, no acne. Cons: ***Frequent yeast infections!!!*** Bottom Line: Great pill except for the fact that I will get a yeast infection every week except for the week on my period! Went to the doctors, they couldn't tell me anything. No burning or itching, just thick, pasty white discharge. Vaginal dryness was also a problem. Changing birth control pill this month...can't take it anymore. Would recommend this pill IF you don't get the recurring infection. Recommended: Yes Was this comment helpful? Pros: none! Cons: really bad acne, nausea, mood swings Bottom Line: i started using yasmin after coming off estelle 35D which actually made me quite depressed. i expected the nausea at the beginning but it kept coming back even after 2 months. i took the pill in the morning and the nausea would hit in the middle of the day. i kept feeling like i had air stuck in my throat, like i needed to throw up but couldn't. i was light-headed and would sleep as soon as i came back from work. i used estelle 35D to clear up my skin and it really worked, i had perfect skin afterwards. however the depression was quite bad and so i stopped taking it. pimples came back but they weren't bad. yasmin however gave my full blown acne. i've just started brevinor which i've found is a lot better. Pros: My boobs are huge! And I still have a sex drive Cons: So far I feel REALLY bloated Bottom Line: I have only been on the pill for one week. I know with any medication aimed to help your acne it takes up to 3 months to kick in, however; i havent had any NEW breakouts (cross my fingures!) Im going to keep going and hope for the best. Pros: no mood swings or feelings of depression Cons: causes severe acne Bottom Line: I went on yasmin to make my skin better but it has made it so bad causing acne and small cysts on my face. I have been on antibiotics to try and counteract these terrible side effects and clear up my skin but even these have not helped. I had a suspiscion that it was Yasmin that was causing this but it is not until I have done research into forums such as this and an acquaintance who claimed that Yasmin also caused her to break out in spots that my suspiscions have been confirmed. I have been on this pill for 3 months and my symptoms have only got progressively worse so I will be taking myself off it immediately. Yasmin need to review the leadflet that they include with the contraception as it states 'that in rare cases it will cause acne' I disagree as there are many many cases of this happening. Be warned! Pros: Effective Method of birth control, eventually evens out and works GREAT after about 3 months. Cons: First 2 months: CYSTIC acne (and all over), yeast infections, mood swings, weight gain (My husband even notices my bad skin, weight gain, and moodiness) Bottom Line: This is my second time on Yasmin. The first time, I didn't realize the side effects were from Yasmin, because it was my first experience with "the pill". I had the largest pimple I've ever had in my life and now have a deep scare from it. I had three yeast infections in the first 2 months. I gained about 5 pounds. I don't remember being moody. After the first 3 months, my skin cleared and I was yeast infection, & weight gain-free for the following two years. Due to an insurance change, I used samples from my doctor for 6 months, interrupting my Yazmin (the samples were Yaz - loved it). I am back on Yasmin for one month now. I have four large cystic pimples, lots of average ones out lining my nose and chin. I have had two yeast infections this month. Despite increasing exercise and scruitinizing my diet, I have gained 3 pounds. I have been crying for no reason, or for little reason. (I am not pregnant -- checked already!).
