Pros: bigger boobs skin cleared up (it got worse for about a month or two and then cleared up almost completely) Cons: heavier periods,bad cramps and muscle aches, cellulite formed on my butt/thighs even though im not overweight ?? Bottom Line: It's alright, does the job but worsened my period symptoms. It took a while but cleared up my skin nicely. I'm a teenager though so I'm thinking of switching to something lighter like allesse... Recommended: No Usage: Amanda has used this item for a few months. Pros: My boobs are growing! no pregnacy Cons: Less sleep at night, moodiness, minor low sex drive, very tender swollen breasts, painful migranes, always hungry(but no weight change, I haven't gained in years no matter how much I eat.) Bottom Line: I've been on Yasmin for almost 2 months. For the first month I experienced a lot of nausea, however I never vomited, so that's a plus. My breasts have been extremly sore, however I noticed they look slightly larger but I am not sure if that is because of the swolling. I hear the pill makes women's breasts enlarge, so I hope mine keep on sproutin'! I've always been emotional, even before the pill, so I am not sure if I can blame Yasmin for that. Pros: No weight gain; regular, light periods Cons: Acne much worse Spotting with 1 missed day Bottom Line: I took Yasmin to treat my acne and it made it so much worse. I was very discouraged. Definitely not for everyone in terms of acne treatment. Otherwise, minimal side effects as far as OCPs go. Recommended: No Usage: Corina has used this item for a few months. Pros: Lighter, virtually cramp-free periods. No other odd side effects noted. Fairly decent at controlling hormone-related acne. Reduced excess facial hair. Cons: Missing a pill will guarantee spotting. Frequent vaginal infections. Some hormone-related breakouts, which are related to taking the pill correctly. Bottom Line: I have been taking this particular brand of BCP since going off Accutane in March of '06, along with Tazorac cream (.1%). For the most part, I found it to be an agreeable pill, with virtually no side-effects. However, I do seem to be more prone to vaginal infections--which is annoying. Also, the effectiveness of this BCP in controlling hormonal acne is tied to how regularly you take the pill. This last mont, after my period, I forgot to take my pills for a few days and tried to double up to get myself back to where I should be at this point hormonally for my cycle. Because of that, I wound up with a bit of a flare that I haven't seen since pre-Accutane. Honestly, I only had one seriously inflammed pimple with a smattering of smaller, barely noticeable ones. But it upset me, because the very inflammed one occurred in one of my old trouble spots that I had issues with before going on Accutane. Pros: not pregos, went up a cup in boobies, regulated periods Cons: ACNE. very tired. hair loss. Bottom Line: bottom line...i need to switch pills. ive never had acne problem and now i do. horrible ugh. and its $50 WITH my insurance!! Pros: not prego! cleared my backne INSTANTLY!!!! Cons: HORRIABLE SCALP HAIR LOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bottom Line: its good but i need to find out why my hair is falling out. Pros: none so far, but its early days Cons: increase in acne (!!), extreme tiredness, bigger breasts, increased appetite, some depression and general crazy weepiness Bottom Line: I have only been using Yasmin for 12 days and consider it way to early to make a judgement yet, but thought I'd post now to offer a suggestion to those suffering side effects. After literally being unable to get myself out of bed last weekend due to the fatigue this stuff brings on, as well as depression that saw me unable to do simple things, like iron my shirt for work the next day, or put on some washing, I have started having the pill during the evenings, rather than mornings over the past three days. I take it around 7pm and by the time I wake up and get on with my day 12 hours later, those side effects are completely gone. I feel like my old self again! I feel fine! When taking it during the mornings, I really noticed the side effects come on and stay put for about 12 hours. For those of you trying to see this blo*ody thing through to the 3rd month in the hope it may do something (anything!) to improve your skin, I STRONGLY recommend taking it at nights - best of l Recommended: Yes Usage: AC has used this item for about a week.
