Pros: Pregnancy prevention Cons: Depression, major acne Breakouts, Weight gain, Bottom Line: I'm on the generic Ocella and have heard others comment that only the Yazmin works well. However, I don't understand how this pill could make my acne worse when it's specifically supposed to lower androgrens. :-( Recommended: No Usage: PCOS has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: It has started to clear my skin but I don't no if Im just having a good week or not. I really hope it will clear my skin fully and will stay that way. I dont need it for sex as Im to young for that, I only went on it to clear my skin. Cons: I think It's made my moods bad, like depression but im not sure it thats just me or not. And I use to weigh about 57kg and I now weigh 60kg so I have put on a little weight But that could also just be me eating too much or something. Bottom Line: Im on my 3rd month now and If my skin isnt clear by the end of it then I'll probably go off it. It really depends on the person, it works for some but not the other. So try it for yourself and see what happens. You never know it could be perfect for you. Recommended: Yes Usage: Gemma has used this item for a few months. Pros: breast size went up one cup size. Cons: acne. I have never had a problem with my skin, and I have huge painful blemishes right now. just finishing up my first pack. Pros: Keeps my acne under control, regulates periods, dont get pregnant :) Cons: I have noticed I've been getting a lot of headaches around my period, and my appetite is a bit up and down, sometimes I'm really hungry sometimes I don't want to eat at all. I am also very depressed. I don't know if these are related though. Bottom Line: I had possibly the world's worst acne until I went on Dianette which was a miracle, I changed to Yasmin about 6 months ago and my skin hasn't really changed much, so I assume its doing pretty much the same job. I have had some problems with headaches, appetite and depression, but I am predisposed to depression anyway and I have moved to a new country so there are several other factors. Basically I KNOW if I come off Yasmin I will be back to the TERRIBLE skin I used to have, so I'm sticking with it!! It does appear to be different for other people though, so it depends on the person. Works GREAT for me though. Recommended: Yes Usage: annique has used this item for a few months. Pros: Prevents pregnancy, acne, and moodiness. Shorter, easier periods!!! Cons: Decreased Libido. Nausea when I first started taking it for a couple weeks. Bottom Line: I used this product for the first year of my marriage. It was wonderful as far as preventing pregnancy, and making my periods a lot shorter and lighter as well as drastically decreasing my cramps, and moodiness. I didn't gain any weight while on it either. I had some nausea for about the first 3 weeks, but nothing terrible. The only downfall, was the fact that I noticed my libido wasn't as strong, but that may have been due to other health issues and other medication for breathing problems. With insurance I paid $30.00. After a year I switched to a different generic BC pill and only paid $5.00 And it was just as good. Recommended: Yes Usage: Carolyn has used this item for about a year. Pros: Regulates my period Cons: Loss of Appetite (I was on Diane 35 before and it didnt have this con) I usually have clear skin without a mild outbreak before my period but when i started taking Yasmin these real hard pimples popped up Bottom Line: I'm switching back to Diane 35. I'm underweight so I'm not for the loss of appetite i'm experiencing and the pimples are horrible- they just popped up and they were really hard and though i'm not one for poppin bump, i had to squeeze the stuff out it because the skin around the bump would be too stiff; after the stuff, that were really hard may i note, came out it was like there were tiny holes in my face where they were. I would only recommend you use this product if you desire to lose weight (but hey our bodies are different- so that result is not totally guaranteed) Recommended: No Usage: Shelly has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: None yet... here's hoping Cons: Major breakouts Oily skin Nausea Bottom Line: I started taking Yasmin three weeks ago to help control my hormonal acne. The first two weeks of taking this pill I experienced the worst breakout of my entire life. I went to the dermatologist and had to have 31 cortisone injections and had six (6!) cysts that needed to be drained! I just started my third week and my skin is much drier this week and my acne isn't inflamed -- I'm sure this is because of all the injections and not the pill. I'm going to stick it out for three months and hope it provides the answer I'm looking for. Recommended: Yes Usage: Chrissy has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: for me, my tubes are tied so I only needed it to help regulate my periods. It has regulated my periods and made them lighter Cons: My face has so much acne now. These bumps are way under the skin and they hurt! Giant bumps... just gross. I'm moody, I eat more, stomach cramps, emotional wreck!! I've never felt this ugly Bottom Line: i'm giving it one more month. If nothing changes with my appetite, my acne and my moodiness i'm dumping these pills. not worth the crap i'm going through.
