| Cons: | small tiny pimple acne rash on my chin since the first month i went on yasmin. mid cycle bleeding, loss of libido |
| Bottom Line: | i have never had acne in my life and since i went on yasmin 5 months ago i have had this acne rash on my chin in the same spot. To top it off this month i had and still have mid cycle bleeding and i have never had it in all my 33 years.its been 12 days and iam still spotting.i started to wonder about yasmin 3 months ago but wanted to give it a chance. i have 2 days left on this months pack and iam not continuing it. i want the bleeding to stop and the acne to stop.anyones else experince this problem? |

| Bottom Line: | Yasmin by far is the best contraceptive method out there. I have recently tried Daine 35 just for the sake of it and well realized that it was a HUGE mistake. In two months I have gained approximately 3 pounds, and I am a fairly active person nonetheless. I have also noticed some MAJOR moodswings, LOSS of labido and strange signs of depression. Please girls your body is sensitive as is so don't ruin it any further by taking Daine. Stick to Yasmin if it works well for you. Hormones are a tricky thing so educate yourself as much as you can and tune into your body. I recommend reading the book Sexy Hormones if all fails. Best of luck! |

| Bottom Line: | DO NOT TAKE OCELLA! For me, it was 10 bucks cheaper than Yasmin but it made me bloated, increased my appetite, and didn't do anything to help with my acne. There's a huuuuge difference. I noticed it after taking Ocella for only 1 month, and I immediately switched back to Yasmin. It's well worth the extra money each month. |

I have been off BCP's for about a year. I am 33 and my skin has always been bad but not bad enough to go on Accutane (not to mention I woudn't ever considering the risks and my child bearing age). So I decided to go back on Yasmine.
When I got to the pharmacy they wouldn't give me Yasmine - they gave me Ocella instead. I asked if there was a difference and they said no.
One week later, a break out (major), hunger pains, and most of all major body aches. I am stopping the Ocella now and have demanded my doc to say NO substitutes for the Yasmine.
Don't let them switch on you! There is no substitute for Yasmine! |

| Bottom Line: | I have taken Yasmin for at least 3 or 4 years and since splitting up with my boyf, wanted to give my body a break and to see how it really is without the pill in my system so I came OFF it. I wish to god I hadnt!! My skin is SO awful, I feel like crying every single day. Ive avoided nights out because it makes me feel so insecure. I sit at work with people sat next to me, Im caked in make-up, and I can see them scanning my face. This in turn makes me feel anxious & upset, so this is probably adding to things. Im going straight back on Yasmin. Problem is, Im now really worried about what'll happen should I wish to become pregnant. I dont want to look or feel this bad!! Whilst on Yasmin, my skin was never perfectly clear, but it was much better. |

| Pros: | YASMIN- skin clear, no weight gain, loved my mood. and hardly any cramps and like 3 or 4 day periods |
| Cons: | YASMIN- expensive. Took OCELLA because its cheper....hate hate it, my skin was horrible, my boobs killed me ( thought I was pregnant) cant stop eating and weight gain of course |
| Bottom Line: | Def. going bact to yasmin. my pharmacy said they were the same thing...no way! I can deal with the extra expense. |

| Bottom Line: | I had severe and I mean severe cystic acne from my face to my chest and back, I've tried everything except accutane (too dangerous) and nothing worked. My derm. finally told me to go on Yasmine and after 4 months I went back and I had a little bit of improvement, but after 10 months on Yasmine I feel like crying and screaming in joy I have beautiful clear movie star skin! Honestly I never thought as severe as my skin was that it would ever look good again. All you have to do is stick with Yasmine, but still maintain a good skin regiment , I use murad and I try to eat well. |

| Pros: | clearer skin (still not totally clear, but improving weekly), no weight gain, shorter period |
| Cons: | bigger boobs (was already a 34DD when i started this pill), nausea for first two weeks, noticed what appeared to be a thick, skinlike membrane in blood lost during period--had never happened to me before (and I'm not having sex so can't be pregnant) |
| Bottom Line: | My skin is clearing up slowly but surely (and I have always had bad skin no matter what I'm on/how careful I am so that's saying something).
The membrane thing kind of freaked me out when I first saw it, but after doing some research it appears it could just be a thickened lining of the uterus due to going on BC for the first time in awhile. I'm going to see if it happens again this month. |

| Bottom Line: | For the last year that I have been taking Yasmin & Ocella (I am 30 and never had issues with acne before including when I was a teen) my acne has become unbearable. It is along my cheeks and hairline. For a while I thought it had to be something other than birth control pills (chemicals in hair shampoo, lotion, face soap, etc). I kept getting acne in the exact same locations causing awful scarring. I went off Yasmin this month and my skin already feels a million times better and is starting to feel like it is going back to normal. I know everyone's hormones are different but I have been on the pill (different types) since I was 16 and I know this reaction is not normal. I will never use this crap again and plan on letting my Dr. know about my experiment (getting off it to see if my skin cleared up). |

| Pros: | my acne has cleared up alot, very regulated period compared to before and no pregnancy lol! |
| Cons: | still have some cramps sometimes and still a reletivly heavy flow |
