Pros: sure it might clear up your skin while you're on it Cons: once you get off it your skin will be worse!!! Bottom Line: People, birth control is NOT a good solution to acne in my opinion. Once you go off it it messes up your hormones so bad that your skin will be WORSE than when you started! I had flawless skin before and after I was on the pill, I stopped it 2 months ago and am experiencing acne like i've never had in my entire life. Its all around my chin and mouth and must be caused from the birth control. Pros: Significant improvement in skin after 2 months of use. No more breakouts :)- SKIN IS SOOO SOFT!! Regulated period Cons: elongated my period by a day didn't clear left over red marks Bottom Line: ****I'm rating this as A SKIN CARE PRODUCT, NOT A CONTRACEPTIVE!!!! -Try it. There is not much improvement in the first month, but after 2 you realllly see it. My skin is much less oily and I haven't broken out in weeks. I'll still break out a tiny tiny bit during my period, but the pimple or 2 will be gone in about 2 days. This has been the ONLY thing that has worked for me. I turned to BC as a last resort, not wanting to use it because i was afraid of weight gain and other side effects but I have experienced none but breast tenderness before my period. Pros: Lighter Periods. Always ALWAYS on time. Cons: Extreme Nausea, Horrible Bloating thru out the month, Sore Breats a week before you're period. Weight Loss,,But the bloating is so bad you won't even notice, trouble sleeping! Bottom Line: DON'T USE YASMIN! Recommended: No Usage: Sabrina has used this item for a few months. Pros: Clear Skin, Better moods, no weight gain, no babies, no PMS =) Cons: nothing! Bottom Line: I have tried at least 4 pills and this one is my favorite. I'm not planning on switching any time soon. Immidiatley after taking it I had lighter periods, which were SHORT too! My skin cleared up which had been a mess from ortho-tricyclen or whatever. No acne anywhere, i'm much happier, no weight gain, not light headed, i am just HAPPY! i forget i even have a period haha give it at least a month because it works different for everybody and you body does need to adjust. free on my insurance too! good luck! Pros: Bigger breasts, less acne, less cramps and of course no pregnancy, thicker, nice hair. Cons: weight gain (!) period last 7 days (!) instead of my normal 3-4 days. Has done nothing yet for my pmdd, but haven't been on it long enough, bit nauseated Bottom Line: So far so good, I am not happy at ALL with the weight gain and the loooong period though! But I heard that sometimes the body needs to adjust. I am trying it a bit longer. For acne it worked like a charm, it got a bit worse in the first month, but now it's clearing up. Pros: Almost completely cleared up the acne on my back, made my boobs 2 sizes bigger, reduced the acne on my face & I didn't gain any weight, in fact I lost a kilogram. Cons: Didn't completely clear my face as I hoped it would, took over 2 months before I saw any improvement, very expensive- I pay $70 for 3 months worth of pills. Bottom Line: This didn't work as well as I wanted it to. It improved my face but didn't clear it- I still get a few large pimples on my forehead, chin and cheeks. For something so expensive I hoped it would work better. A bit disappointing. Recommended: Yes Usage: Cleo has used this item for a few months. Pros: Clearer skin, no babies, regular period. Happy with it. :] Also, it helps me remember what day of the week it is... haha! How sad is that! ...I'm forgetful. Cons: Breast tenderness, headaches and some joint pain (only in the first week! These have gone away now). My skin is a little bit more oily than it was before, but no big deal. Bottom Line: My skin has never been too bad, I'd generally get 6 or 7 really angry, deep, red spots at a time. Since I've been on Yasmin I haven't gotten ANY big spots on my face. I've had a few little tiny ones, but they're VERY infrequent, and they're going away. Overall, my complexion looks much, much nicer. For those of you who are worried about the side-effects, please don't rely solely on the reviews here! If you're worried about taking it but you want to give it a try, START A DIARY. Write down your weight and moods daily, any symptoms you think are unusual for you, and keep track of it. DON'T be scared to try it. Everything works differently for everybody. I have not had any terrible side-effects and I was terrified to even use Yasmin because of the reviews here. I haven't gained an ounce of weight, my moods are the same, my breasts are a little tender but not too bad, and my skin is lovely. Like I said, it could work for you! Pros: Clearer skin, alleviated cramps, and no babies! :) Cons: Nausea, terrible headaches, fatigue. Bottom Line: I've only ever used one other type of BC, which was Ortho Tri-Cyclen, and it was a nightmare for me. It made my acne the worst that it had ever been in my life. The doctor switched me to Yasmin and my skin has cleared up considerably. The past month I've been experiencing terrible headaches at least every other day (I've been using Yasmin for four months now) and I could be wrong, but I believe it is attributed to Yasmin. I haven't changed my diet, my exercise routine, nothing. I think Yasmin is the culprit. I also get nauseous every time I start the pack, for the first couple of weeks at the most. I've never thrown up, but just experience nausea. I did a lot of research into what BC I wanted to be switched to, and even though there are plenty of terrible reviews regarding Yasmin, there are just as terrible reviews about every other BC out there. Every BC is going to give you one side effect or another, its inevitable. Everyone is different, I think this one works for me. Recommended: Yes Usage: Miranda has used this item for a few months.
