Cons: Since starting Yaz, I ve been very emotional sometimes angry for no reason, crying for the slightest thing and very anxious. Also my acne worsened.I want to stop the pill because it's affecting my realtionships and my job. Bottom Line: Do you know what will happen if I stop the pill right away? Pros: NO period related migraines, minimal cramping, less PMS symptoms, my periods are SO light I only use a pantyliner, less bloating, less oily skin and hair, I ALWAYS used to break out during my cycle...NO more!! Cons: it can be pricey without insurance (fortunately I have insurance)but everything comes with a price... Bottom Line: I love it!! I have been extremely happy with Yaz...I have been on it for almost 2 years. So far no problems, I anticipate to stay on Yaz for a long time!! Pros: none really Cons: bad headaches the first month, light acne turned to horrible acne, nervousness Bottom Line: started using yasmin to clear up light acne. have been on pill for 4months. my face is much much worse, huge blemishes and cysts along jaw and cheekbones.. after this pack is up done with it!! never had acne until i stopped taking bc.. back to ortho tri cycln used that first and never had a problem. Pros: Keeps me from getting pregnant! No negative side effects except for slight breast tendernes. I am sleeping better, waking up easier in the morning and my face is clearer. Cons: I have not experienced any real cons! Bottom Line: I read multiple reviews about Yaz on several sites, before I gave it a try. And after reading reviews and blogs, I was pretty scared. The reviews are so mixed with regard to this oral contraceptive. Many women have shared that their experience has been amazing - this birth control has cleared their acne, they lost weight and have shorter periods. Just as many women have shared that they have experienced horrible mood swings, awful break outs and bleeding for months at a time. Like anyone else considering this pill, I was hoping that I would experience the positive effects! So far, so good! Over the past three weeks, my skin is clearer and I have had no weight gain. I also have been sleeping better and I wake up much easier in the morning since taking the pill. I also have had no spotting or bleeding. Pros: Absolutly none!!! Cons: weight gain, low self worth, mood swings, paranoid, tingling in arms, numbness in big toes Bottom Line: I have been on yasmin for 4 months now and they have been the worst four months of my life!!!! its only today i've realized why 'm so miserable and unhappy that i resort to hiding away and bingeing on junk food. The only times i am happy and start getting back to normal are when i have my period and am not taking the hormonal pills...... then when i start my new pack it all returns back to feeling horrible. I used to be so happy, slim, sociable.......... now i'm fat, i hate life and i try avoid my friends because i don't want to see anyone. I've also become exstremly clingy, paranoid and insecure in my relationship which never ever happened before i was on YASMIN. I can't believe who i've become but atleast i now know the reason and will never take a yasmin pill again!!! Am looking forward to getting back to the old me! Pros: slight weight loss (water weight), clear skin, protection against pregnancy Cons: mild headaches first month..thats it! Bottom Line: i was on otc LO for about 2 years and constantly felt bloated and had break through bleeding. I went off the pill for about 6 months and decided to try yasmin despite all of these negative comments. So far so good! I started my 2nd pack last night.**With any birth control, they have a tendency to depleat essential nutrients in the body, such as b6 and b12,thus the depletion of these nutrients can cause symptoms such as depression and mood swings. I take a b50 complex in the morning and my pill at night. Taking b vitamins is good for all women, especially those on the pill as it often lessens the side effects that it can cause. I didnt do that when i was on otc lo and had many side effects but am doing it now on Yasmin and i feel great! Also, its best to wait out any pill for 3 months before giving up on it. Pros: You can't get pregnant. Cons: Weight gain, very moody, headachs, and light dischardge. Bottom Line: I can not take a pill that will make me feel like crap all day, I rather not take anything. I have to much going on in my life to fell like crap all day. The pill also my my heart beat wired and made me very tired. Recommended: No Usage: Wava has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: So far-only have to take it on a day, not pregnant Cons: acne breakouts, dilated pores, weight gain, very emotional Bottom Line: I have only started my second pack, and I know all these posts keep saying that things have to get worse before they get better, but its difficult dealing with this on a daily basis. I think the reason I am more emotional is because of my skin, it really does impact your life, whether you think so or not. Im going to keep on it, and hopefully my skin will clear up. Diane-35 worked wonders on me, i just cannot remember how long it took for the skin to clear. If I dont see any improvement over the next month, back on Diane it is. Pros: better sex drive & less cramps Cons: Acne & weight gain. Bottom Line: I was prescribed to go on Yasmin to cure my light acne, but it just ended up getting worse and worse. I should have stopped after the first month when I first realized it wasn't helping, but my doctor told me to be patient and keep going until 3 months. After that, my light acne turned to moderate acne - bumps all on my cheek bones, worse acne than I've ever had before -I'm still trying to get rid of it.
