| Bottom line | I've been on Yasmin for more than two years now - it's been quite a roller coaster ride... At first it was amazing. Skin cleared up, lost weight, loads of energy and no moods. Now, for the first time in two years, I've noticed pigmentation on my skin (like when I was pregnant). I'm also getting quite a bad skin breakout. The last time my skin looked this bad was when I hit puberty...Someone suggested that it might be the Yasmin causing it. I don't want to change my pill. I've been on two others and I was misserable, bloated, moody and had constant headaches. |

| Bottom line | The first few weeks it made my acne break out really bad--the worst it has ever been. It mainly occurred along my jawline and chin, like most people who left a review. On my third month now, and my skin is better than the first few weeks, but still NOT clear. The acne takes forever to heal and lasts very long, leaving my skin sore and dry. Im hoping within the next few months my body will adjust and my face will clear! For any users what month did you see drastic improvement in your skin? |

| Cons | This pill broke my acne out even worse. I only had a few spots to start with but now my chin has completely erupted. I have been miserable for weeks now. It is definitley not the route the take for mild acne. I now have all the old acne-anxiety back. |
| Bottom line | I am miserable since i started Yasmin. I really wish I hadn't messed with my hormones. I am now weepy all the time and fragile. My skin is sore and raw. I have stopped taking yasmin now for the last 2 days. While i was on it my skin was so dry it felt like I had ezcema on my face. Really wouldn't recommend it at all. |

| Bottom line | I just wanted to post here because I'm having a decent experience on yasmin, and I've noticed that a lot of the posts are extremely negative. Because it's a hormonal treatment everyone's response will be different. My skin was terrible before I went on yasmin, but literally by the second week I am seeing drastic results. The first couple days my skin did seem to get a little worse, but I figure it's because all that residual gunk had to come out some way. I'm really relieved and pleased with the progress I'm seeing. So for all you ladies who haven't seen results with any non-hormonal treatments, I'd give this a shot. I was a little tired the first few days but that seemed to pass. I also have experienced a loss of appetite. Overall the side effects I've experienced with this contraceptive are way more bearable than any other pill I've tried. Try it out. Don't be scared. |

| Bottom line | Pretty good stuff. It's wicked expensive in the US tho. $65 for generic Ocella without insurance. A lot more for brand name Yasmin. I order mine from an online drug store in Canada. MUCH cheaper (about $18 a month for brand name). I used Yasmin for 2 years, but then discontinued it because of the price when i lost insurance. Did Yaz for the past 6 months, TERRIBLE headaches. Back on Yasmin now. Boobs hurt like they never have before, but overall, I'm glad I'm back on it. 3 weeks into the pack, acne isn't terrible, I have had a little breakout, but nothing some makeup can't cover up. |

| Bottom line | I've heard some pretty nasty reviews for Yasmin, but keep in mind that everyBODY is different. I started Yasmin about a year ago, and other than slight nausea the first week, its been amazing. My skin cleared up so much. I used to get horrible acne around my period, including cystic pimples, and now I get maybe one or two tiny pimples each month. My breasts grew a size, and I didn't gain weight! And of course, no babies! |

| Bottom line | Arghh, my skin is a nitemare.I'm constantly getting spots and pigmentation marks afterwards coz it never heals up properly. I'm just coming off it.Been on Yasmine for 8 mths, felt sick and tired initially, now sickness is better but still tired. Need PM nap now and never before! This bad skin (they come out all over my face especially a jawline and cheeks) and enlarged boobs (I had been cup size c before, gone up to DD) made me to come off it. i have no life with this acne and massive boobs.Got strech marks on them coz grown so rapidly also get back pain. Also extended cellulite although no WT gain. Actually, lost about 4 pounds since getting on. Previously on Microgynon 30. a stone and a half WT gain but no spots.Confused... |

| Pros | Did not make me break out at all. Clearer skin within 6 weeks, and keeps improving (: Have not experienced any side effects really. It was nice also to chose when i wanted my period (withdrawel bleeding) so many benefits i love it |
