| Pros: | My acne cleared up really well, still get the ocassional blemish but when I think back to how bad it was it's a massive improvement! |
| Cons: | Disn't have any funny side effects, no weight gain nothing. Having been on the pill for 5 years (I am now 20) I am experiencing cervical erosion due to the contraceptive pill... |
| Bottom Line: | Really good if you want to get rid of acne but don't get addicted like I did otherwise you could experience serious health risks like cervical erosion. I used contraceptive pills after nothing else would work and they did have a dramatic effect! I am going to have to stop now though and am hoping to find an alternative! |

| Pros: | Drastically reduced oily skin, helped acne |
| Cons: | While it fixed my acne, it made everything else about my body worse! I had cramps in my legs, couldn't sleep, terrible nausea and migraine headaches, changed appetite, depressed numb feeling, heart palpitation, drowsy |
| Bottom Line: | I tried to stick out the bad side effects, because topicals and antibiotics haven't done enough for me, but in the end I just couldn't stand it anymore and went off it. It wasn't worth it. I'd recommend trying it though, because not everyone has side effects, you won't know until you try, and you can always go off it. |

-huge boobs!! ( from an A cup to a C)
-no nausea, no mood swing ! |
| Cons: | -Really really bad cysts acne !! i felt awfull !! all over my mouth, very painful!! never really had acne since i was a teen.( 7 years ago). Lower self esteem because of it. Stop taking it but after 6 mouths i still battle with this HUGE Cysts. |
| Bottom Line: | seriously if you do not have acne, do not take this pill ! if you have, maybe it will help you but if not, be prepare to have a lot of big friends on your face !
i'm now on the pill aviane ( generics for alesse) and no changes yet.
Next is accutane :(
Yasmin was my first experience with the pill and i'm 27.

| Bottom Line: | Im using the generic kind which I got for 10 dollars on insurance so worth it now. I only have acne really on my forehead and now its slowly going away. I drink lots of water and take vitamin b daily to prevent side effects. Its been going great for me no spotting at all |

| Bottom Line: | i'm currently into my third week of birth control and i have not seen any improvements. the first week i've experienced bloating, spotting and an increase in acne (on my back i got huge ones that are painful.) i used to be on yasmin and it worked wonderfully. so i went back on it, and now its a completely different story.
i have insurance so for a 3 month supply i paid like 15 dollars. |

| Cons: | nausea, breast tenderness, bloating, slight weight gain (but I love junk food,so...), slight increase in urinating at times (it is a diuretic) |
| Bottom Line: | I've been on Yasmin since June 2006. I've read horror stories, but so far, everything's been okay. I hope it'll stay that way. I haven't tried coming off of them yet, so I'm kind of worried when that time comes. |

| Cons: | First pill i went on was microgynon 30-side effects were so severe that i had to come off within a week.Side effects on yasmin are much better but still bad.Tiredness,laziness,depression,lack of interest in doing anything,spots,bigger appetite,etc. |
| Bottom Line: | If you have any sideeffects then how does it agree with your body or ever going to be suitable? Both the yasmin and the microgynon have changed me - made me into a completely different person. I hate it - only probably going to give it another week and then will come off it. Its a matter of trial and error. Obviously effects each person differently, for me its awful already! |

| Cons: | Horrible breakouts,cramping in between periods,always hungry. |
| Bottom Line: | I had moderate acne before I got on this. When I first started it only cleared up a little. Then shortly after i started getting these huge welt like Bumps all over. after a while it would clear up in one spot then break out horribly in another. It is the most painful acne I have ever had. I DO NOT recommend this product and can`t belive it even had gone up in price dramatically. I am getting on some new stuff ASAP |
