I have been taking supposedly a really good vitamin E supplement and it hasnt done anything for my acne... even broke it out more I think. It is funny because I thought I was crazy and then another person wrote the same thing- I also tried evening primrose and that made me break out too. I think any oily supplement makes me break out because I have very oily skin... and since vitamin E and primrose are both oily I think that is why I have had problems. I started taking vitamin b-5 yesterday and I already see a difference in my skin. Weird huh? I will write a comment on B-5 in about a week or so to tell you what my progress is.

My mother has always sworn by Vitamin E for all kinds of skin problems. Not only does it minimize the spots on my face, but it also wards off canker sores in my mouth. If i get a particularly bad pimple or sore i simply double my Vitamin E dose and the problem quickly heals.

In my opinion, I think Vitamin E made me break out. I have been on Dan's BP regimen for almost a year with wonderful results. Aside from the scars (that are fading slowly but surly), my skin has been almost flawless. However, I just recently added Vit E to my vitamin regimen and started getting small comedones on my face. I had to stop taking all vitamins due to medication and they went away. I remember also having some problems with Evening Primrose a few years ago. I don't what it is but both of these products seem to be associated with my acne.

I have been taking 16000 IU of Vitamin A, 400 IU of Vitamin E, and a Vitamin B-Complex. Although it seems to have a minimul affect on my facial acne, my back and chest are 95% clear! I have tried birth control, antibiotics, and the Regimin. Vitamins are the best for chest and back! Vitamin A controls the amount of oil produced by the skin.
