my skin cleared after taking vitamin b5 for 2 months, but i was still unhappy with my pores, healing time, and redness. i started taking vitamin c about two weeks ago and have noticed a big difference. i don't think it would do much for moderate-severe acne, but for anyone with mild acne or anyone looking to improve skin tone- definitely worth it.

Topical vitamin c does work.. I got ascorbic acid (99.4% purity) from [link removed].. They sell a bunch of cosmetic ingredients.. you probably want to dissolve it in water with some zinc oxide (also good for acne) to rewduce acidity.. apply it at night .. ascorbic acid reacts with the sun.

Vitamin C has worked great for me against acne, but I do take a lot of it, 5-10 grams per day. but when I drop below about 5 grams, my acne tends to come back. If it seems to you unreasonable to take so much vitamin C, this fact helped ease my mind. Most animals produce their own vitamin C in their body, like we produce insulin or something. But we have to get it in our diet. So in order to find out how much a person should take, we might want to start by looking at how much the animals make. A 70kg (154 lb) goat produces 13,000 mg of vitamin C in his body in one day, can you believe that? And during times of stress, up to 100,000 mg. And mice, when you adjust for human body weight, make between 10,000-12,000mg of vitamin C per day. The recommended daily allowance is like 70mg or something. But that is the bare minimum so you won't get scurvy and die, not the amount required for optimum health. go to [link removed] and look up vitamin C, you can check.

doesn't cure acne, but it controls inflamation and helps zits clear up faster. Also the dark spots go away faster.
