| Pros | Reduces oil |
|---|---|
| Cons | initial breakout, the amount you have to take |
| Bottom line | I've been taking B5 for about 4 days now, and my skin looks and feels better. My cystic acne that I had cleared up. Now I just have hyperpigmentation from all of my old acne. I did start breaking out with little whiteheads, but those go away fast. B5 really is remarkable. I've tried so many different things (AcneFree, vitamins, home remedies, OTC products). My acne used to make me severely depressed, even suicidal. I've only been using it for several days so it's not good to get my hopes up TOO high. My face used to always be so oily (always blotting) but now I noticed that the amount of oiliness on my face is going down, day by day. I think consistency is the key here. I'll put up another review in a couple weeks. |

| Pros | Absolutely wonderful! Easy, fast, a confidence booster! |
|---|---|
| Cons | A lot of powder nds 2 be consumed, so I purchase it every 10 days, but its worth it! |
| Bottom line | I am 22 years old and I have suffered from acne since I was 17 years old. I have very dry and sensitive skin, yet it also prone to acne. I am also on a birth control to control the deep deep deep ones! But I still suffered from whiteheads, blackheads, deep lesions, etc... the list goes on and on! I have been on minocycline and doxycycline but I became immune to both rather quickly! It is so frustrating! I am a frequent vistor of this website and thought that I would try something natural that did not require a dermatologist appt! I bought a container of B5 - powder over the internet and within ONE WEEK! CLEAR! A little breakout at the beginning but nothing out of the norm! My trouble areas WERE my forehead and chin but trouble - no more! My acne issue was a large personal issue that I faught to not get to me, but it was constantly on my mind! My skin has not looked this good in years! Please give it a try, there is no reason not to! And Don't listen to the other reviews where only oil skin will work w/this product. I have very dry skin, but I did have the deep lesions, which B5 caters to! Please try, you have nothing to lose! |

| Pros | I have clear skin for the first time in 14 years |
|---|---|
| Cons | None so far |
| Bottom line | I have had moderate acne since I was about 13. I am now 27. I have been on everything - all possible antibiotics, oral contraceptives, even roaccutane twice. Some things worked for a short while but the acne always came back. I have now been taking the B5 'megadose' for about a month and my skin is totally, utterly, fantastically, clear. Not only that; my skin quality just feels so much better - my skin is soft to the touch in a way it never has been and is literally glowing. I have become a different person. I worked up to 10g per day over about a 5 day period and have been taking the 10g ever since. I also take a Vitamin B complex tablet once a day. I have to be honest and say I've had no noticeable side effects (not even stomach upset) other than a few headaches in the first week or so. In fact, I would say that overall I feel pretty good- I have more energy than before (which might just be because I am exceedingly excited about having clear skin!). I would say my skin initially got a bit worse and I had some deeper spots on my jawline, but these cleared up very quickly. I do not like the idea of taking so many pills but the way that this has made me feel is well worth it. I have never written a review on an acne product before because none have worked and if you are anything like me you will be reading this and thinking perhaps I am making it up, but if I can help even just one of you escape the misery of acne than I would love to do so! My only fear now is, having experiences how wonderful it is not to spend hours every day worrying about how my skin looks, that this may not work forever. If you have ANY questions please just ask - very happy to help! |

| Pros | Works like a charm, may be best single thing I've done. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Initially makes acne worse (1 week or so). And it's a lot of pills to take. |
| Bottom line | Try it, you'll be happy. At least 5 grams (5,000 mg) a day, 8-10 grams to start with until it's under control. |

| Pros | No more large pores. No more rough skin. No more pimples. No more oily skin. :-) |
|---|---|
| Cons | No more hair. :-( |
| Bottom line | If you love your face more than your hair then try it. I tried using accutane last year but I stopped because of the major side effects that I encountered. I switched to B5 because of the great reviews I read about it and it's safer than accutane because it's wate-soluble. By using B5 for almost 2 months, my face was %100 clear but I notice that my hairs were becoming brittle and around 100 hairs are falling from my head everyday. So again, what do you want %100 clear skin or 100 hair falling from your head each day. |

| Pros | Energy and general wellbeing reduced redness |
|---|---|
| Cons | Hard to source in large amounts in nz |
| Bottom line | I have only just started taking so will be back each week to see how it goes - I have very oily skin and moderate acne around chin. Would love for this to work - have ordered larger quantities from overseas as can only buy 60 tabs at a time in nz which at 10 grams would only last three days for $30! Hopefully they will not take long to arrive or I will we be spending afirtune to fill in the gaps. |

| Pros | Haven't continued use but effects have lasted. Was on very small dose compared to some contributors here |
|---|---|
| Cons | Easiest place to buy in UK is Holland & Barrett but is rather expensive |
| Bottom line | I took 1 gram tablet a day for 6 months. That was about a year ago now and my acne has not yet come back with any force. I am feeling somewhat oily again but probably due to heating indoors as winter starts - when I get pimples now thy aren't those deep canal under the skin cyst type monsters. TRY IT! It is far better than any topical or serious chemical drug I have ever used. |

| Pros | - oily skin reduced thus acne slightly reduced |
|---|---|
| Cons | - taking 5 pills 4 times a day - relatively costly since it builds on top of the daily skincare regime. |
| Bottom line | - Paid $70 every 2 months that excluded P&H If oily skin is the cause of your acne, this should work. I think it does what it says - which is reduce the oil production on the skin. Whether or not that reduces acne is dependent on the participant's skin. It reduced my acne occurrence but as mentioned, I dont think oily skin is the only attribution towards acne. Try it if you have oily skin. Take this with a good cleanser/toner/moisturizer regime. This can be quite costly since it builds on top of your daily skincare. |
