Pros It has made my skin less oily and almost eliminated my acne on my back.
Cons Lots of pills to take
Bottom line If you don't mind taking a lot of pills this is the perfect cure. I take 3 pills four times each day and my back and chest acne is almost completely gone after only 2 weeks. I can't wait to go skinny dipping at Turtle Lake nudist resort in Michigan next summer to show off my new skin!

Pros The first few days it gave me more energy, but that wore off
Cons Taking so many tablets. As well I've been feeling more drowsy recently - although maybe that's cos I haven't been to the gym in a couple of weeks!
Bottom line It hasn't done anything for my acne yet ! I've been on it for three weeks. One of the main reasons I want to stick with it is because it's supposed to reduce your pores as well and I've been struggling with open pores, which I think aggravate me more than acne ! But I've been trying M2 lotion ( 12%) for a couple of days and it seems to be super for my skin.

Pros less oily skin
Cons broke me out worst than EVER!
Bottom line After reading all the great reviews about B-5 (especially for oily skin), I went and purchased the twin lab 500mg. I went with this product and stuck with it for close to 2 mths. I didn't mega-dose it because too much of anything is not good for your body. I took 6 grams a day spread through out the day, and you'd think after taking it for the time I did, I'd see SOME or even a SLIGHT improvement, but I didn't, it just made my acne SOOO WORSE. So bottom line, I'm not saying it doesn't work, but it's DEFINITELY NOT FOR ME! I feel like all the money I spent was just wasted. I found that Nature's Cure for Females did me better justice.

Pros - Skin is less oily
- Cystic acne has pretty much disappeared
- Smaller pores
Cons - Initial breakout especially around the jawline
- Expensive
Bottom line I have been taking Vitamin B5 consistently for 2 weeks now and I have noticed a difference in the oiliness in my skin. I still have oily skin but this is gradually reducing and the level is of a more acceptable level - I don't feel like a grease ball anymore!

My poors are also noticeably smaller, though my face is still bumpy due to the small scatter of spots - for some reason especially around my jawline.

I am hoping that the next few weeks will make more of a dramatic change. I am feeling positive on this and will update again in 2 weeks time.

Pros It has helped fully clear my skin when nothing else has come close. It has flattened out my skin texture and evened out my skin tone.
Cons The cost of the tablets. Worrying if it will eventually stop working.
Bottom line I have been on roaccutane twice. Both courses reduced the severity of my acne but neither put it into remission.

I have mild/moderate acne on my nose and on the skin under both eyes. Mostly inflamed pustules, I have never really suffered with blackheads.

B5 has cleared my skin. I find it hard to comprehend how taking a vitamin has produced this result when years of topicals and prescription mediation has done very little to help me.

I use the Time release b5 from Holland and Barrett and I take 3 grams a day; split into two doses.

It took me a week to notice the difference and I get dry skin after showing now which is lovely as my skin has always been greasy.

I find it very hard to believe anecdotal reviews on the internet highly recommending a product; I don't suggest you take this review as gospel - but I at least hope you try b5 and see the results I have.

To be honest, I don't even believe the results myself and I'm slowly convincing myself that this may be the magic bullet for acne.

Pros Cheap
Cons Hard on the stomach
After 2 weeks didn't see any improvement
Bottom line I don't know, this didn't work for me. I tried 15 pills (each 500mg) a day and there was absolutely no reduction in oil. Going to try Acnescript's oily skin version to see if that's a possible solution instead.

Pros less oily skin, minimizes break out
Cons the amount of pills, stomach runs, cost
Bottom line I've been taking B5 for 2 weeks now. My skin is less oily and my break out minimizes but my skin isn't clear yet. So I am going to give it another 2 weeks to see if there are any further improvements. Basically, I am taking 10mg (20 pills and 4 times a day) per day. I see a significant reduction of oil after my third day. Also, I used to have on average 3 new pimples per day and now I'm only having 1 new pimple in 3-4 days.

In terms of the initial break out that people claimed to have, I'm not sure if this is the 'initial break out' - having 1 pimple every 3-4 days and a bunch of whiteheads on my face. But I don't think it got worse before it gets better. (probably because i've been consistently breaking out already) In fact, my break out is minimizing gradually and I received good comments on my skin. I will willing to give it more time. I will update in another 2 weeks or so. Wish me luck!
