okay. so after reading all these "b5 is a lifesaver" reviews, i went and ordered vitamin b5 clearskin. let me tell you, this thing DOES work. BUT...

please don't be an impatient person like me and start off with three pills each meal. you're only suppose to take 1 or 2 pills per meal for the first couple of days. i did start off like that but after like the second day, i shot up my dosage and my skin got very, very dry. i have pretty sensitive skin and my skin isn't amazingly oily, so go figure. so i stopped taking it for awhile, and then started back on it slowly.

before taking b5, i always..ALWAYS broke out right before my period. but after taking b5, i went through two cycles of periods and i haven't broken out with a single pimple. and i noticed that when i stop or forget to take the vitamin, my face gets very oily. so it does help with the oiliness.

Just wondering if anybody has had any mood swings or signs of depression. I am normally a cheery guy who enjoys drinking, partying and have never had any problems with anger. I have been on vilantae for about 3-4 weeks now and I have been feeling rather depressed and noticed I can be happy 1 second then completely enraged the next which I have never experienced before starting the drugs.

Been taking B5 for almost a month now. Can really see an improvement! I still feel slightly apprehensive cause it just seems too easy...clearing up skin in my experience is never this easy...I also feel that now that I'm on it I can never stop taking it, judging by what people write here that certainly seems to be the case. But if that what it takes I'm willing to stick with it. As far as side effects go it's nothing compared to most other stuff that's out there...which once again brings me back to the fact that it seems too easy. Apart from all that- Hooray for B5!

Initially it began to clear my skin but after about 2 weeks I had massive breakouts that didnt seem to resolve after 2 months on it. Im not sure whether the breakouts would have stopped if I continued but I couldnt handle them because they left quite a few bad marks and the cost of B5 was way too much for me(expensive in the UK) so I stopped. However, quite a few people have had success with it so I would recommend that you give it a go if you have tried everything else and you have the money and the patience and guts to stick through the breakouts but be warned it might not be the 'wonder drug' for you and the breakouts can be pretty nasty...

I've been using B5 for 2 years now. I have moderate acne that used to border on severe. This stuff definitely clears up my face, and ameliorates the acne on my back and chest, but never quite fixes them. For most of the two years, I have been on 10 grams a day, divided into four or more daily doses. Any time I have tried to reduce the dosage, I break out again. When I have tried going off B5, I completely break out again, but quickly clear up when I re-instate the full dose.

B5 has always bothered my stomache, and I have had some intestinal problems as a result of using high doses of B5 long term, and decided that such a high dose is no longer an option for me. I've switched to Pantothine Complex. Pantothine is the active compound that your body derives from B5, which is then used directly in producing Co-enzyme A. Thus, you can theoretically take much less of it to get the same results. The pills which I have been taking have an even split of B5 and pantothine. I have been taking 1.2 to 1.5 grams per day of B5 and Pantothine each.

When I changed to Pantothine, I simultaneously started proactive, topical azelaic acid, topical erythromycin, and an oral antibiotic. I'm clearer than I've ever been, but I'm obviously not sure if this is due to the pantothine or not.

Notes: Take a B-complex with the B5 or pantothine. Supplement with biotin to increase B5 absorption, and make it easier on your stomache. Also, Zinc is another helpful vitamin for acne, but even harder on your stomache than B5.

Well, I haven't startrd using it yet... I'm very anxious about this product. I've tried everything, I mean everything: proactiv, atibiotics, and more, nothing works. I don't want to take accutane, to many side effects, we'll see if b5 is as good as they say.

Vitamin B5 has worked wonders on my skin in a short time.

I've had minimal to moderate acne for four years but during my first year of college, it had worsened considerably with the added stress and unhealthy college diets. I had spent a considerable amount of money on a miriad of acne products and had visited dermatologists saw very little improvement. Then I heard about Pantothenic Acid- after reading Dr. Lueng's brief study and reading info pertaining to the vitamin on Wikipedia and other web resources I decided to give it a try... Darn, this stuff reduces the oils on my face that has been causing my acne breakouts. I've been using B5 for about three weeks and have noticed a marked difference in my skin complexion, tone, and feel by taking B5 orally @ 2500 mg X 4 times/day.

Best deal I've found on the internet...

And just so the previous poster knows, I'm the VP of marketing for [link removed] and I frequent acne message boards in hopes of increasing our revenue. Haha.

Joking aside, Pantothenic Acid really works and is the best product I've used for my problematic skin!!!
