Pros: greatly reduces OIL!!!! shrinks pores Cons: my eyes get red and ive heard there are some long term bad effects Bottom Line: ive researched this alot and all i have to say is try it. Its way safer than accutane. I also didnt megadose like your supposed to i took 5 grams for 2 months then 3 grams then now im down to .5 grams a day and it still works. I stopped for a couple of weeks and boom oily face and acne came back. So basically try it folks. Its called PANTOTHENIC ACID at the stores Usage: evan has used this item for about a year. Pros: REALLY CONTROL OIL PRODUCTION! Cons: capsule is difficult to swallow and have to swallow a lot a day. powder form is not very tasty. but really small price to pay for such a big result. Bottom Line: I used to have so oily a face that I will have a thick film of oil 10 min after washing. I often have break out as well, bad acne and some cystic acne. I went to a dermatologist and she prescript me with antibiotics and accutane. my face was immediately cleared. I still maintain accutane for a year and it kept my oil production in check. after I stopped accutane due to hair loss, the oil came straight back. (the acne didnt). I went back to my usually depressed mode. but luckily B5 helped me, it really worked! I cant say it's as good as accutane, but accutane cant acommpany you for life, B5 can. It dont work on everyone but about 90% it's really worth it to try. I have done a lot of research on oil reduction, and 1. accutane. 2. vit B5. others dont come close to this 2. dont listen to those who scream dont try, they say it cos they are angry it didnt work on them, or they give up too fast. It took me 1 month to see effect. you nv know unless you try and maintain. Recommended: Yes Usage: july has used this item for a few months. Pros: -Makes your face less oily.This is the biggest plus. -Less breakouts too,i feel. -Cleaner feel on the face. Cons: -People have been mentioning of hair thinning and hair loss.I am not so sure..i feel that my hair is thinning a bit...but its also possible that i am merely imagining. -Initial side effects Bottom Line: Its a plus.Wouldn't recommend overdosing.I started with 5grams and have weaned off to 3 to 3.5 grams/day.I feel it works just as good. My face was like an oil field earlier.Used to regularly use a soft tissue to wipe the oil off--needless to say,the tissue would be splotched with oil.Now,i dont even wipe my face...maybe once in a day. It may make your face a bit flaky...but it will reduce gradually.Have been on this for about 18 days now. I also take one B-Complex every couple of days. Pros: Not that expensive if u look around for the cheapest price. Cons: N/A Bottom Line: I've battled with mild acne since I was 14. I've tried everything! proactive, differen,antibiotics, every over the counter product u can think of. I've even tried my own experiments... Like putting different stuff on different pimples on my face to see which one really worked. Recently out of nowhere my face broke out horribly! I mean it was from my forehead to my chin. From ear to ear! I went to the dermatologist n he injected over 25 pimples with cortisone. It scarred the lower part of my cheeks. ( I had never had a pimple on my lower part of my face) Iam devasted. I don't go out at all! So I was googling acne cures and I came across clear5 that has b5. I ordered it immidiately!!!! Pros: clears skin Reduces oil Cons: Dries out skin dramatically to the point that it causes excessive flakiness Bottom Line: I was using b5 for 2 years,first year i was takin 7 or so a day but that didnt help too much and then i upped my dose the following year to 20 a day which literally cleared my skin overnight.I continued to dose on 20 a day for an whole year but now i have bin off b5 for 3 months as it has caused my skin to become excessively dry to the point that it flakes.I have not had my acne come bk yet after 3 months of quitting b5 but im quite sure it will make its way back within a few more months and also my skin is still very dry and flakey even after stoppin b5.These pills are great for acne but they would be perfect and i would of continued takin them if they didnt dry my skin out too much Recommended: Yes Acne severity: moderate Was this comment helpful? Pros: Less oil hence less acne absolutely no back acne Cons: Takes time to start working. Bottom Line: Remember it takes time more than a month, don't use time release they don't seem to work. Pros: none Cons: Hair loss!! Bottom Line: great hair prior to supplementing B5. 2 months in, hair started shedding at alarming rate. Been off for b5 for 4 months now, hair is still shedding. Been to 5 different dermatologist/hair specialists all giving me different diagnosis. No family history of hair loss.
